Waitomo Village Chalets

Absolutely LOVED staying here. The beds are so comfy, the rooms are toasty and warm, the kitchen and lounge are super clean, it's quiet and relaxing. We Didn't order the Continental breakfast, but I suspect it would have been just as awesome (going by the standards of the rest) .and the icing on the cake, was that they welcomed my support dog 🐾 Thank you for an amazing stay. Couldn't flaw ANYTHING. A+++++++++++

Excellent for the price. Even cheaper than the campground across the street and you get two beds upstairs, three downstairs and your own shower/toilet. (I only mention the shower and toilet as a comparison to a campground...of course you get your own at a motel). Really glad we upgraded AND saved $$ by staying here. Under 5 min drive to the caves. Ideal place to stay if visiting the glow worm caves but not a lot else here. Only one nearby restaurant open past 6:00pm.

Wonderful place to stay, rooms are warm, beds are comfortable, quiet, lovely to wake up to the birds every morning. Thank you for allowing us to bring my friends emotional support animal without judgement, and offering to look after him if we wanted to go anywhere that wouldn't allow dogs. We will definitely be staying here again!

Excellent service! I left something of value behind when we checked out. The owner gave us a call and arranged to get it delivered as we were already far away. Most places will not call to notify you let alone arrange to get it delivered. Thank you! Very honest and friendly people. We only stayed for one night but really enjoyed it. Our unit had a little kitchenette and plenty of sleeping space for 5 people. I woke up to a view of the mountains. Our back porch was half set in the bush garden with the birds singing in the trees. Perfect to have a cuppa or have a meal in nature. Very quiet and peace full. Within walking distance of the waitomo caves and city centre.

Stayed in a loft room for 1 night as a family of 4, king bed in the loft, 3 singles below. Clean and tidy comfortable room, nice hot shower with plenty of water pressure. Nice pub next door with lovely meals. All very easy. Thanks

A hostel style accommodation. But we booked a room with En-suite toilet. Check in was easy. Rooms were clean. Found the beds way too soft but was okay for 1 night. A good place to stay if you have an early morning cave activities the next day.

Staff friendly and helpful especially about the Waitomo Village Chalets and attractions at Waitomo. Room clean, tidy and warm with radiator heater. Location great, just what I wanted nearby to Waitomo Village for Musuem, Bar & Eatery General Store, and Restaurant. A nice stay RJ

I guess I expected more based on the photos, it appears as a cutesy little boutiquey style hotel, but it was really bare, the shower was sad and the amenities not really any. It was a comfortable stay, the view from the patio was very nice but not sure I’d go out of my way to stay again
