"Dusk at the top of the world The winding streets of ancient Genoa all lead in one direction—straight up. Lace up your tennis shoes and keep climbing. Eventually you will reach a small park at the edge of the city, the entrance to one of the many fortresses that speckled its 17th-century walls. From here you'll be treated to one of the best views of both old and new Genoa. Come at dusk for a stunning sunset over the urban edge of the Ligurian Sea. (And if you are too tired to walk back down, catch the funicular for less than two euros!)"

Good viewing platform over the city as well as beyond the hills and mountains! Funicolare is the way to go with 2 € you can travel back and forth for 110 minutes. Application is the easiest way to purchase the ticket as the ticket machine on Zecca station is out of order. Rsstaurant available next to Righi station.

Easy and accessible for human and dogs. Very nice view from the top. You can also stop at few stations earlier and walk the way up to have a look at the local buildings.

Unique for us from Australia. We only have one funicular, and it's purely tourist. These are daily rides for locals

Nice ride. Only problem was the ticket machine at the bottom, it was broken.
