I’ve waited over a year to write this review and honestly, 5 stars is genuinely an understatement when it comes to rating this place properly. As someone who literally never writes reviews and who has high expectations of what a good bagel is, especially growing up eating New York bagels, this place is easily the best bagel shop in RI and it’s not even close. I do not rate bagels lightly and when I say I have literally tried every single flavor at this place and I’ve actually never been disappointed once, I am saying that with full honesty. I’ve tried every single bagel shop in the area and have always been thoroughly disappointed before I found this place. The Jersey special on an egg bagel is a MUST and actually a life changing experience as well as the strawberry cream cheese and Vermont maple cream cheese. I wish I had a picture of the jersey special to share but it’s gone too fast before I can even take a picture. The bagels are definitely a bit smaller than a usual Brooklyn style bagel but it’s honestly the perfect amount to enjoy the bagel itself and whatever it is you fill it with. They’re light, airy, and chewy without being too dense and have the most perfect boiled crispy shell. The owners are also the most kind people who are so passionate and dedicated to their work and it shows. The workers and cooks are always so great and the food and coffee come out fast and perfect each time. Every single person I have brought here literally collapses on the ground because of how good it is. Any bad review you see about this place, if there’s any at all, genuinely have no idea what they’re talking about in terms of bagels and their opinion is irrelevant. This may sound like a dramatic review but this is genuinely the best thing that has ever happened to the Narragansett area and I will continue to support this place and recommend it to everyone.

Lovely establishment not too far from the beach in Narragansett. Feels like your cozy family run NY deli, definitely fresh bagels and flattop with fresh eggs. Expect a wait as it’s popular. Around 50 bucks for 4 sausage egg and cheeses, 4 bagels, and a tub of cream cheese. Also peak a photo of the cute dog outside.

Hands down the best bagels in Rhode Island! NY Bagels RI nails that perfect New York-style chew—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The bagels are always fresh, flavorful, and they’ve got a great variety of both classic and creative options. Their spreads and breakfast sandwiches are top-notch too (the bacon, egg & cheese is a personal favorite). Weekends can get busy, but they move the line impressively fast given the crowd—it’s super efficient and well-organized. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and the place is always clean. If you're a bagel lover, this spot is a must. You won't be disappointed! Let me know if you'd like to mention anything else, like parking, seating, or a specific menu item.

So why not 5 stars for the best bagel I have had outside of NY and also including the Delray/Boca FL mkt…..well, let’s first give credit where credit is due, the quality of the bagel, dough, process, etc…is outstanding. Light, airy, somewhat crisp on the outside with an outstanding “chew”, this bagel is truly a step above most everything else out there and locally there’s zero competition. See pics for what I have to say next; I ordered an “everything” bagel and to say that the toppings were sparse, would be an understatement, with all other ”everything” bagels I’ve ever had, the toppings would be falling off and making a mess, not so here, so my car did stay clean on a positive note. Secondly I ordered the lox spread, which did taste great, however one tiny shard of salmon in the entire spread…really? So as good as it was, it was negatively balanced by their miserly proportion of bagel topping and lox, within the lox spread, especially for $6.25. As a backdrop, I never mind paying top dollar for quality, but I don’t want to feel like someone was stingy with their offering. As an aside, perhaps because they are relatively new, the interior decor leaves much to be desired and does not encourage you to want to spend time in this place, starting with the Boarshead menu’s above the counter. Will I return? Absolutely, best bagel around, however I will choose a different bagel and gladly pay extra for lox w regular cream cheese. Update 11/25: You guys need consistency in your allocation of cream cheese. You would be better off offering if in pre measured place containers than leaving it up to an hourly employee who could probably care less about ensuring it being applied correctly. My advice here would be to buy your own cream cheese than paying $4 for a miniscule portion w Zero lox in it

NY bagels of RI were unbelievable. My husband had the locks bagel and I had the garlic bagel with the jalapeño fresh cream cheese. Best bagels I’ve ever had in RI. The service was fast and friendly, best flavored iced coffees around freshly brewed from a tap! Definitely a go to if you’re in South County or worth the drive. 🥯 ☕️

NY Bagels of RI nails that perfect New York-style texture—crispy outside, soft and chewy inside. Always fresh, always delicious. Great variety, friendly staff, and quick service. I stop by all the time and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend!

Awesome bagel sandwich! Perfect New York style bagel in Rhode Island.

I love a good bagel and always trying to search for a spot that has delicious ones. I ended up driving by one afternoon but they were closed at the time and made it a mission to go back in the morning another day. The first time my wife went and picked up a dozen assorted and I couldn't wait to try them. I ended up coming back a couple weeks later and bought some more. I have to say that these are some delicious and the best I have had yet. Slightly bigger than some of the other locations in Rhode Island, I'll have to go back another time to get one if their breakfast sandwichs.
