such a cute little coffee shop! small seating area with cushion seats that you can't move and small tables per two seats. no backrest unless sitting against one wall, not the window. great coffee and a friendly barista!! pastries were running low when i got there so would love to come again to try more desserts 💗 vibe and atmosphere was great for grabbing a quick coffee to go or to work, or perhaps a coffee chat as well. only con is no bathrooms.

So eco friendly sourcing coffee. A few selections of actual coffee beans as they focus on quality and taste rather than cost and quantity. Superbly smooth latte in a quaint quiet atmosphere. Great place to get quality coffee if you just want good coffee and the opportunity to relax.

Fav coffee place during my stay in NYC. Clean, simple, calm atmosphere, rough and natural aesthetic. Great matcha. Lovely latté art.

Oh wow the taste of the first sip of this oat late, wow, amazing. I had to stop on the street and appreciate it. I live in Australia and this is up there with the best I've ever had. And not only the rich and mixed flavours... but the temperature of the milk, simply perfect. So you can drink it right away without having to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. A.mazing. They even offer a Magic, which, if you know, you know. Love it.

I walked past this coffee shop and decided to try it. It was fairly empty when I went in. I ordered a cappuccino and I didn’t like it. What was more concerning was that I sat inside for about half an hour and all of the dairy products were just left sitting on the counter the entire time I was there. I don’t know how long they were left there before I came into the shop, but for the time that I sat inside, they were not put back into the fridge. They also don’t have air-conditioning They just had a fan and it was quite warm inside the shop since it’s summertime in New York and it was a really hot day. I don’t think I will be returning to this coffee shop after what I saw.

I was looking for a good cup of coffee near grand central on a Saturday and came across this place. 10/10! Espresso was delicious and flat white was perfect with perfectly frothed milk. Good vibes, good background music, friendly staff.

Came for the coffee on a saturday morning and that was good! Had an americano to really make it about the coffee! And the beans (didnt ask which ones) were very fruity and well prepared. Some bonus points for having a few seatings available but dont come to stay long. Limited food options and since there is only one person manning the place, it wasnt super clean. Get the coffee “to go” especially if you are having hot drinks.. the cup is cute but not practical as it gets really hot and interferes with the coffee taste

Trendy vibe with stylish décor and a cosy energy. The menu is creative, but the coffee didn’t quite deliver on flavor - some drinks looked better on the menu than they tasted. Worth checking out once, but not a go-to for me.

There are several coffee shops near my office, and while Starbucks has historically been my go-to, I have begun to add new spots to my rotation. Dae Day was first brought to my attention by one of my colleagues who passed it by on her way into the office; the aroma coming out of the place stood out to her and she suggested we check it out. That being said, we took a walk for some midday peps. Dae Day is located on Lexington in a somewhat busy area. Upon entry, though, the bustle of the outside vanishes and gives way to a somewhat tranquil atmosphere. Like other modern coffeehouses, the look is bright with high ceilings, shelves with aesthetically placed items, and some seating. The space isn't large but we didn't feel cramped. The menu is small, but there's a decent variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, a few non-coffee drinks, and some bakes. The flat white was catching my eye - partly because it was officially titled "flat white/magic" on the menu board, and partly because this is an Australian-based spot. But really, what was so magical about it? I was gonna find out. The coffee was super smooth. It had a mellow flavor and was slightly creamy as I chose to add whole milk. It also had a slight froth on top which added to the mouthfeel; it went down smoothly. Service was great, everyone was friendly and our drinks were ready relatively quickly. Overall, I had a good first experience at Dae Day; I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

I started my day with Dae Day Coffee, an Australian-inspired coffee shop known for their Flat White. It was close to my office, so I grabbed a drink and pastry before heading in. The interior was clean and minimalistic with a lot of white and white wood aesthetic. There isn't a lot of seating here, maybe a couple of window seats and stools. FLAT WHITE (8 OZ) - 5.50 Yum!! The flat white had a very smooth and creamy texture and a prominent espresso flavor that went well with the milk. Unfortunately, I had to take this to-go. I feel like enjoying it in a ceramic cup in the cafe would have been more enjoyable. PAIN AU CHOCOLATE - 6 Lots of chocolate, this was pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Honestly, a bit overpriced for what it is. Overall, great coffee in Midtown East. I'd highly recommend giving their flat white a try and maybe grab a bag of beans, too.

When traveling, I always try to book a stay near a walkable coffee shop- and Dae Day Coffee did just the trick! Only a 5 min walk from our hotel, this Australian-owned gem impressed us so much... we went twice! Of course since they're an Aussie cafe, I had to try their flat white. Smooth texture, rich crema, and a delicious nutty espresso base... one of the best I've had outside of Sydney! My friends ordered matcha lattes and were equally impressed- rare to find a cafe that nails both coffee and matcha. I ended up bringing a bag of their Colombia Gaitania beans home. Their aesthetic alone was such a standout... the interior and ceramics alone made me want to redecorate my whole kitchen. I even asked if their mugs were for sale haha. They're probably available for purchase in-store now.... but sadly, were not available yet while we were still in town). Keeping my fingers crossed for an online shop! If you find yourself in Midtown- don't miss Dae Day to have a g'day!

Just another coffee shop. this place is mid AF, the drinks are just OK, the staff was just lukewarm, and it was overpriced! I'd rather go to luckin coffee get a coffee for $1.99 then spend eight dollars here any day some TikTok influencer showed some propaganda that this place had taro drinks, and so that's why I stopped by. I just got an iced latte to fix my caffeine craving, and it tasted so weird and bittter . I like how I have seating, but I probably won't be back. Blank Street just across the street is a great and reliable alternative

A very good Australian coffee shop that took me back to my trip to New Zealand! We ordered a flat white, knowing that we love it. There is an option to order a coffee drink called the Magic, which the barista explained it as made with ristretto shots and bolder than a flat white. Inside, the coffee shop is small and simple. At the same time, the design is beautiful. I absolutely love the unique stone counter in the front. Entering this coffee shop feels like a moment of peace and zen in comparison to the excitement of Manhattan. I will absolutely visit again next time I'm in New York!

I believe this spot just opened up! I checked it out as my office is right down the street and I was impressed. The aesthetics of the shop were so sleek, clean, and modern and I really liked the simple decor. Service was excellent -- my friend and I sat down at one of the benches as we were waiting for our drinks fully expecting to get up once our drinks were ready, but one of the employees brought them over to us, and that was so nice. Went the extra mile. Had an iced vanilla oat latte and I'm no coffee snob, but I thought it was great. I'll have to try out the matcha next because that's my area of expertise and I feel like I can better judge the quality of a cafe from the quality of their matcha.

I got the brioche cinnamon roll and an iced americano, both of which were very very good. The staff was friendly and helpful! They have some seating inside but it's mainly small seating pads by the window and the tables are way too short to be practical, so not exactly a place to sit and annoy your coffee. I recommend coming here to grab and go.

Aussies do it best! Dae Day Coffee is Michelin-star level coffee. Quality ain't free -- if you need vanilla in your cup, Dunkin's down the block. Enjoy your sugar milk. And for people saying the staff are cold: you've confused professionalism with attitude. The Dae Day crew are focused, not your therapist. This is New York, not Disneyland. This was not a paid promotion

Cute lil coffee shop on lex with amazing coffee! My favorite is their oat milk latte iced and they have brown sugar syrup on the side that you can add in as well. Coffee here looks like it's really down to the basics as they pull each espresso shot in this aesthetic space and take their time with each pour over. Great spot to hang out with friends but not the best spot to study in since it can get busy and seating is limited.

Somewhat small coffee shop but super aesthetically pleasing. There are some seats along the side with a few small stool tables. I ordered an iced matcha latte sweetened with simple syrup and it was honestly a pretty good latte. My biggest complaint is the price. A 16oz drink was just under $10 which I hear isn't abnormal for NYC prices but as a visiting Texan it was quite painful. But the drink itself was good so take that as you will!

Lovely café latte done swiftly and cleverly plus a full carafe of NYC's finest tap water served cold. Seated at a quiet bench with great lighting and an OUTLET next to me.

This storefront has hosted numerous coffee spots in the past. Yet for the first time dae day is what appears to a truly inviting spot for a sit down chat or just a quality cup of grab-n-go joe. Compliments to a very delightful staff and wonderful lighting - a very underrated aesthetic.

Paid $9 for the world's smallest iced matcha ever. The cup was 90% milk. Wouldn't go back

Entirely exceptional from start to finish. The taste profile is well-balanced. Every worker shows patience and understanding. They would do well to stick with what works. Every dish meets high standards.

Not great. $8 for a sub par vanilla latte. I'm so over the price of a latte and only one shot.. cmon

Meh... cold brew was super acidic. Needs lots of cream to cover the taste. Over priced and underwhelming.

Really like this place and the coffee but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I've paid over $9 here for a matcha with honey.
