Hashigo Ginza Hon-ten

We had craving for Ramen and this place got recommended to us by friends; it was incredible. The line is a bit daunting at first but once inside it was comfortable. We went at around 6:30pm, had to wait outside for maybe 3 minutes and then inside another 25min-ish. The owner quickly saw we were foreign and handed us an English menu to prepare our choices while we were waiting. The waiting strategy worked as well, because the longer we sat the more excited we got. And oh my goodness it was delicious. Easily the most smooth and tasteful ramen I’ve had. Melts in your mouth, just so classically good. I had the non spicy chicken ramen, my partner had the spicy pork ramen + 2 beers for 26 euros!! Would definitely recommend 🙌🏼

We visited a small ramen spot while wandering through the streets of Ginza, Japan, and were really impressed by the quality and balance of the dishes. Both bowls we tried were fragrant, flavorful, and light—one with a comforting spiciness, the other a classic creamy, savory profile—both perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. The dumplings were also excellent—well-seasoned, tender, and highly recommended alongside the ramen. At a reasonable price, the meal even came with a small serving of rice, adding extra value. The environment was calm, clean, and peaceful, a pleasant escape from the busy Tokyo streets. Overall, this spot delivers a satisfying, thoughtfully prepared ramen experience, combining great flavors, careful execution, and a welcoming atmosphere. Even if you’re unsure exactly which ramen you ordered, it leaves a lasting impression.

Came here by mistake — totally happy accident. Delicious and unique ramen, we both got the spicy broth, I opted for the pickles on top as well as pork. So good — similar to Dan Dan noodles. We also ordered the gyoza which were so deliciously gingery. Amazing atmosphere and surprisingly roomy for a ramen counter.

Sichuan “dandan” Ramen. Super nice, just not spicy enough- coming from someone that doesn’t really like ramen. Friendly service. Can get busy so come in pairs, the queue moves fast. Number 5: spicy, mild peanut taste, after notes of yuzu. Worth ordering the separate huge gyoza and Siew Mai, and the pork ‘ribs’ (like an escalope) are more crunchy as a separate order.

It is not the dandanmen that I was expecting, it was much lighter. The broth is like a shoyu ramen with a strong peanut flavour. The addition of yuzu to the noodle was so refreshing. The noodle was cooked perfectly al dente. The shumai was a surprisingly delicious. It wasn’t greasy and packed with flavour. I will definitely come back to try the paiko version.

Very small cozy atmosphere. We spoke no japanese with zero issues at all. I ordered the ramen with 3 pork slices, my husband and son ordered the ramen with fried ribs. It was all amazing!! They ran out of dumplings or we would have had that also. We arrived at the perfect time with no wait (6:00ish).

Nice lunch spot in Ginza, it is cash only. The Dan Dan ramen was flavorful, mildly spicy, and good value. We got seated very quickly and the service was also very good. The broth was not overly heavy and on the lighter side, which made it easy to finish the bowl. The side order of the Shumai had a soggy wrapper but they give you a good amount. The order also comes with a bowl of rice. Overall, a solid spot if you like spicier ramens.

This restaurant is famous for its paiko "dandan"men (pork rib tantanmen). Since it’s a specialty, it’s well worth choosing the paiko dandanmen (JPY1200, reasonable!) over the regular version. The flavor is exceptional. Located near Ginza, it attracts a mix of business professionals and younger diners, and the place is always lively, with lines stretching outside even late at night. Many of the staff are non-Japanese.
