"Frederiksted Historic District This city is laid out in a grid system—seven streets by seven streets. Although established in 1751, Frederiksted was rebuilt in 1878 in a Victorian gingerbread style following a great fire due to a labor revolt. St. Patrick's church, which was constructed in the 1840s, is an impressive sight. Other buildings of note include the Customs House and the eponymous fort. Steps from the pier, Frederiksted Beach has chair, umbrella and paddleboard rentals."

Sad, forgotten town. Not much to see but gutted, rotted, old buildings that haven't seen any life in years. Truly depressing. There are some cool shops and some nice places to eat, but not many. The fort was interesting for those who dig history but it's a quick visit.

Fredriksted was amazing! We were given a personal tour by a local friend we made on the airplane. We happened to be there during the Women's Coalition race. They made it quite the party! Moko Jumbies, kids playing steel drums, followed by a fantastic sunset. There's lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. It was such a fun place to visit. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I loved it there!!!

Very charming old town. Some nice beaches and great food at Fred, and Sand Castle Cottages. Some hidden gems, such as sea glass beach. This a nice place to photograph a beautiful sunset

Pleasant vibe of old Caribbean European town. Colorful arched walkways with storefronts and cafes, but sadly affected by pandemic closures. In January 2022, not much open on a Saturday. However, this allowed a more intimate connection with the tourists and locals who were out and about. I met baby walkers, first time scuba noobs, cafe owners who were chatty, a fashion photography group with 10 assistants and one model, lots of chickens with chicks, sailors putting in on dinghies from offshore yachts, and a very nice ice cream waitress who advised a blueberry smoothie was what I needed. How could I not see how lucky I am to be in St Croix on a clear day?

Frederiksted was planned to be twice as big as it exists today when the Danish planned it in 1751. Fate worked to only build the southern half. This probably benefits the town, being compact and easily walkable. One warning to those eating in the park, the chickens have become conditioned to come running when food is around.

Historic district???? Yeah, there were some old buildings but nothing here worth seeing. Hit one of the beaches and don’t even waste your time in this dead and dirty town. The best part about the “historic district” is walking the waterfront. Other then that, turn around and book an excursion or find a beach that has nice sand and not dead coral.

Beautiful, cool shops, rainbow beach is close, and you have no oil refinery nastiness in sight, unlike many other parts of the island, however,... They didn't let us jump off the pier.

Ice cream with the grandkids, took in a little art and watched a cruise ship leave port.
