Just returned from the hotel, we loved it for it's style, individuality and for the way it's been adapted from it's past existence as a community of homes. The location is fantastic in the historical centre, staff very welcoming and breakfast was delicious, great, great choices, fresh. We used the Piano bar every evening, the lady there was lovely, the pianists played classical music, theme tunes from films, very enjoyable. The foyer is beautiful, I felt very comfortable relaxing there. Our room had beautiful linen and towels, fabulous big bed and shower room immaculate. It is a bit of a challenge retracing steps to the room through a maze of gardens, tunnels and lifts but there is a genuine attempt to guide you with colour coded areas and signs, if this is it's only slight fault I'll take that. We loved it, would visit again .

This hotel is more than just a place to stay while visiting Seville. It is an experience in itself. The 'hotel' is actually like a village with little neighborhoods within it. Created from some 30 different houses, it meanders from section to section through long corridors, and lovely patios with romantic fountains. It was AMAZING! |The room itself was predictably excellent, bed comfortable, bathroom modern and well appointed. There was also a pool and a piano bar, neither of which we had time to take advantage of. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods, drinks and pastries, albeit a bit difficult to find the first day as the whole place is kind of a medieval maze. |Location wise, it is a pleasant 10 minute walk down a (mostly) pedestrian friendly street to the Cathedral with more great restaurants and bars than you could ever frequent in a month. Now it is not cheap, but neither is it exorbitant for a 4 star hotel and you are getting something unique in itself and part of the experience of visiting Seville. |Seville is a great town and it has a lot of great places to stay so I won't say that you can't find another hotel in Seville with a good location, good room and good breakfast. I WILL say that there is NO hotel in Seville quite like Las Casas de la Juderia and I can promise you that it will be a place you remember as much as you will remember the Cathedral, the Giralda, the Alcazar or the Bullring. It is really special.

Google
A fabulous hotel, luxurious, quirky and full character, right in the very centre of Seville's old town. This might not suit you if you prefer a skyscraping modern hotel where every room is identical. This completely the opposite, every room different as it is made up of 27 houses interconnected by small areas (plazas) and, in places, by tunnels. Everywhere was different. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, the rooms and the public areas were so comfortable. Even a shower to die for, never ran out of hot water and got flattened by the pressure! |Loved the food, especially the bucks fizz with breakfast and the snacks at the pool bar on the roof.

The Las Casas de La Judería Hotel in Seville is like a village of traditional houses linked by external pathways, with courtyards, quiet spots, fountains and plants along the way. The roof swimming pool gives an opportunity for dipping and not swimming but the views make up for it and more. You cannot ask for much better service, cleanliness, beauty with decorative touches all the way. The breakfast is copious and varied so well worth including. The room and facilities were superb. Perhaps a better map could be provided to capture the details of small streets. A great experience of being made welcome as if it was so straight forward, and with such success. Manuel is as smiley and helpful at breakfast and piano bar, and Erika looks after everyone so well, making every morning a good start of the day for night owls. A real treat was that the breakfast window was 8.00am to 11.00am so there is no rush.

While I was ultimately given a very nice room and give the hotel three stars on that basis, my stay here was highly uneven. The room I was originally assigned was unacceptable under any circumstances. It was dark, smelled of damp and was infested with insects. When I complained, the bellman told me that "all the rooms are like this." When I called reception, they agreed to relocate me the next day - and they put me in a much better room, one that would have been more than satisfactory had I been there from the start. Breakfast was unremarkable - set up for efficiency more than anything else. The upstairs piano bar was a highlight - the cocktails were excellent, as was the service and the atmosphere. The location of the hotel was very handy to central Seville. Overall, I would not return to this hotel. My experience with an insect infested room that someone thought fit to rent out suggests that the hotel's management is at best less than professional and more likely simply unscrupulous.

Stayed a few nights, visiting the fantastic sights of Seville. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from the Cathedral, Alcazar, various shops, and many, many restaurants. We stayed in the main hotel, rather than the Annex, which was quirky - all rooms set off from the courtyard, with the hotel keeping to its original layout with arches, flowers, trees, amongst the various rooms. Breakfast was very good - in the basement tastefully updated- good range of hot and cold dishes, including fresh orange juice, Nespresso coffee, and Serrano ham, but no fresh yoghurt, and limited fresh fruit. Staff pleasant and helpful. Main downside for us was the noise - the wooden staircases and ceramic tiles are old and hence noisy with suitcases - especially when new visitors arrive at 1.30am - and the plumbing seems to be under ‘vacuum pressure’ so the noise from other rooms is amplified, especially late at night. Overall, an enjoyable stay in this lovely city.

This is a lovely quirky hotel and the service was overall really good. Rooms are accessed via corridors and tunnels through the multitude of different properties which make up the hotel. Quite an adventure getting to your room - perhaps not one for those who have mobility issues as the stone floors are uneven and there are lots of ramps & steps to negotiate (there are lifts too). ||The location is ideal - 10/15 mins walk from the cathedral, 20/25 mins walk from Triana, lots of restaurants close by (including La Bartola just outside the hotel, which was one of our favourites) & the Jester coffee bar/cafe 2 minutes walk away (for excellent breakfasts which were cheaper than the hotel). ||We had a lovely superior room with waterfall shower & a separate sitting area. Air conditioning worked well which was great as it was 25 degrees when we visited in November! ||Unfortunately we had to move rooms as we had a busker who played guitar (badly) outside our window for hours on end, but the hotel were happy to move us without any fuss. The second room was a lower standard and some of the plumbing could have done with some attention (showerhead and taps all leaked), but overall we had a lovely stay.

Google
The hotel is beautiful and unique, being created from linking numerous individual houses together with corridors and an underground passage. It was fun to just explore and see the various courtyards. The room was comfortable, the staff was great. And the location was perfect for seeing the sites. We didn't use the rooftop pool, but it was beautiful and inviting. Would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
About as good a base from which to explore Seville as possible. The most stressful part was finding the place in my rental car down very narrow streets. I was grateful for the valet parking, not so much by the €25 a day charge. The building itself seems to be a collection of buildings spread around a number of internal and external courtyards. Our room was accessible via a long and twisty underground tunnel that stretched for at least 300m passing the spa, various bric a brac bits and pieces, statues, fountains, peculiar display areas that may, or may not, have been shops or small boutiques. I've no idea. It's almost impossible to describe how bizarre and yet how charming it all was. After a while, though, I have to confess it became a bit of a schlepp. Our room was small but the bed was extremely comfortable with a queen size bed and a decent sized, well provisioned, en-suite bathroom. A piano bar on the first floor was both elegant and comfortable and we repaired there each evening after dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also opened out onto a small plaza with plenty of outdoor bar and coffee options throughout the day and into the night. A couple of minutes away was the Cathedral and Alcazar as were numerous shops, bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours (a must). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Seville but leave the car at home,

Yelp
It's like you walked back five centuries. The hotel is a tour unto itself. My room was out of a Robin Hood movie (Spanish Style), with a great wood beamed ceiling and steep stairs. With that said the room was very spacious and had all the modern conveniences. You're in the core of the old town maze with tight streets, keep the GPS handy. I'm not sure of the cost since it was booked through a travel agency. The hotel should be a separate tour.

Yelp
Great location! Beautiful courtyard spaces, an labyrinth hallways, a historic treasure for sure! Rooftop bar was fun. Be sure to bring cash, as you can't charge drinks to your room. Our room had super high ceilings, although not a lot of natural light and the room unfortunately, smelled musty. The bedding was very nice!

Yelp
My absolute favorite hotel, ever. So beautiful, it was honestly one of my favorite parts of my entire trip to Spain. Exploring the hotel is honestly an experience in itself. And that includes the surrounding neighborhood. Plus their rooftop bar has a pool, a nice view, and a very friendly bartender when I went. Also, the stew I had from their room service menu had no business being that good...

Yelp
27 houses loosely attached to each other in a whole Jewish neighborhood, a shtetl, if you will. But it's absolutely gorgeous and makes me wish I were a Jew

Yelp
I was charmed at first, but as I lie here at 1am unable to sleep because I can literally hear my neighbor's bathroom faucet running, I'm over it. The good: convenient location, large room, strong AC, big fluffy towels, great rooftop pool, and nice, helpful staff. The not-so-good: the underground tunnel system to get to the rooms is charming once, but an annoying schlep after that. The pool hours are pretty limited -- it doesn't open until after checkout so I can't use it before we leave tomorrow. The whole place has a dark, shabby vibe (I realize it's a very old structure, but I'm referring to the dusty curtains, uncomfortable chairs, thin old carpet, unlit lobby, and unkept inaccessible garden areas). It is SO noisy. As I mentioned, it's the middle of the night and I'm awake because I can hear my neighbors footsteps and bathroom faucet. Bottom line: it has some nice touches and if you're drawn to unusual old buildings you'll like it, but I would have been more comfortable somewhere else.

Yelp
It's a great place for younger peeps as the winding paths to the rooms might make one impatient but oh so fun to meander in the labyrinth testing your memory. It's quaint, historic, a gem of a place. The rooms are well appointed and bathroom ample and even has a jacuzzi! Warming: the spa could be amazing if the staff were more personable, massages more substantial (unless you like small light half-baked rubdown bordering on annoying). They were so rude: they could not be bothered with our questions and when answering almost perturbed, were curt. Totally dirty thermal pool and not a temperature that warrants it be called thermal. The steam room, hammam bench and sauna were turned off so we literally shivered for 30 minutes. No soap in shower, no flip fllops, no bath robe. And if you ask if you need anything you will be ignored. The spa is not worth the visit.

Yelp
This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. It's composed of several buildings in a block and connected with small walkways. You pass several little gardens, beautiful flowers, small private alcoves and open spaces on the way to your room. On the roof there is a beautiful pool and bar area. Perfect in a warm sunny town like Sevilla. Staff will park your car and take care of your luggage. Located in old part of town with walking distance to the cathedral and plaza España. Everything is so close. Beautiful restaurants and bars right outside the entrance. Not five stars because of rock hard beds and bad WiFi. A strong four! We will come back to this hotel every time we are in Sevilla!!!

Yelp
Great hotel. We travel a lot and this is one of the coolest hotels we've been to. It's comprised of a number of Moorish houses and feels like you're exploring a city every time you walk to your room.

Yelp
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. The iconic statement from the earliest days of computer gaming is apt to both the neighborhood and Hotel de las Casas del Juderia. But who doesn't want to get lost here? The neighborhood is the historic heart of Sevilla, with it's winding, narrow streets crowded with tapas bars and the occasional shop. And you can easily find yourself dumped into a plaza with the breathtaking Catedral or Alcazar. The hotel itself is a conglomeration of numerous historic houses, and you will find yourself in a warren of passageways, courtyards, and other surprises. The rooms are nicely decorated, with modern amenities like bathrooms and frigid AC. You can take a dip in the pool or enjoy a Copa de Jerez (sherry) at the ornate piano bar (with free wifi) or just use the ideal location to jump off to explore Sevilla. Either way, it is a great place to stay!

Yelp
Out of all the places in Spain this was my favorite. This was the type of hacienda you see in movies- sprawling and relaxed. Our room was spacious and regal. There was a rooftop pool where you could bask in the South of Spain's clear skies and bright sun. Several running fountains with bubbling sounds created a soothing ambiance. Everywhere I looked plants and flowers were climbing over their walls, very Secret Garden. The best part was our amazing brunch- huge spread, well done, and fancy. It was a delight to experience a traditional Spanish brunch in such beautiful surroundings. The con- there was a slight sewage smell coming from the drains. The people at the front desk were quick and professional.

Yelp
This is an odd place. Here's the way I break it down....if you can secure a room in the main building, it is splendid. If you are given a room in the outermost courtyards, it is insane. Insane, you ask why? To reach our room required a 10 minute underground hike. It passed through an odd, and cheap assortment of fake areas (fake rocks, fake lighting, inconsistant design, etc. I realize this is a very old facility. But the execution of the "connecting tunnel" is pathetic. Seriously. Once we reached our room, it was very spacious, quiet and well equipped. It's a shame we were made to march through an underground maze of silly, arcade-like ornaments to reach it. The buffet breakfast was very good. As noted by a previous reviewer, it was an odd space....but strangely similar to our underground trekking space. The main restaurant was absolutely magnificent. We enjoyed our brief stay and would recommend the place with the caveat listed above.

Yelp
Are you looking for a really nice place to stay with the look of an upscale Spanish style house? This place probably has your answer. I can't believe I forgot to write about this place but this was a really cool part during my trip to Sevilla. Although I did not really sleep here, I did get a chance to explore this interesting hotel. I made an evening rendezvous with my hostess from Gines and I remember she was saying something like this: "I'm going to take you to a place that's really cool," We walked by the Barrio Santa Cruz and into this hotel. We went up to the front desk agent, and my hostess said something in Spanish. The front desk agent smiled and she pointed her finger to a door behind her. My hostess opened the door, and we walked through the hallways into a really nice courtyard with a beautiful night view of the sky. We continued to walk through the passageways and explored a lot of great patios. I did not feel like I was in a hotel. I felt like I was in a villa, a historical site or a museum and I did not have to spend a single Euro for this visit. The interior design is great, there's some good art, and there's some great space where you can just sit down, relax and enjoy the decor. Overall, if I ever had the money to stay at a hotel in the awesome city of Sevilla, this would probably be my top choice. It's at a great location, within walking distance of the Cathedral, the Alcazar and the Guadalquivir River. This is probably one of the most unique hotels that I have visited, and if you get a chance to stay here, make sure you take some time to explore this place and get lost in the maze of passageways.

Yelp
So this isn't a 5-star hotel. I didn't expect (or need) it to be. The price is more reasonable and the accommodations more modest. But for what it is, it's absolutely breathtaking. I was looking for something right in the heart of old Seville that reflected a little bit of what it might be like to live there. I loved the narrow, winding paths through the buildings and reading during siesta time on the absolutely beautiful patios. Our rooms were clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. The location is perfect -- walking distance to a ton of sights in Seville, and right near lots of restaurants and little shops. I'll definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My husband and I chose this hotel for the second part of our Spanish honeymoon. We were drawn to stay here because of its unique layout, good location, and the rooftop pool. We planned to stay for two nights, leave for a night, then return for one more night. Check in the first time went smoothly, and we received one of the newer rooms complete with a king-sized bed and a whirlpool tub. Sadly, the lighting was poor as we were on the first floor and got minimal light. This being a honeymoon, that was not a problem. We timed it, it took over four minutes to get from the lobby to our room. Quite a trek. Our second room was closer, but not nearly as nice. Clearly, this room had not been rehabbed. It was considerably bigger than our first room, but the bathroom fixtures were much older than the ones in our first room. That being said, it was a fine room for our additional night spent in Sevilla. I recommend you request a remodeled room when making a reservation. They just are so much nicer. Some pluses: -Free wifi in some common areas (certain patio areas and in the piano bar) -Great location. We were able to walk to the cathedral, Alcazar, and the bus station. -Friendly staff. When we had issues with our bus trip, the gentleman at the front desk was helpful in looking up the website for us. -Our newer room was very nice. Clean, well-furnished and comfortable. The biggest downside to this hotel? The pool was closed. Despite it being over 90 degrees each of the days we stayed in Sevilla, due to it being "winter," the pool was not open for use. (We stayed in early October.) I do understand the need to close a pool seasonally, however this information was not posted/made known anywhere. My husband and I chose this hotel partly for the pool, and sadly we were not able to take a siesta dip as I had hoped. Be forewarned if you want to use the pool: It is not always open. All in all, I would stay here again. It is such a unique and rather romantic place to stay, completely different than any other hotel I've stayed.

Yelp
I was not impressed. 1. no WIFI in rooms 2. SMELL in rooms 3. ANTS in room - shower, bed, etc 4. AIR conditioning (either too hot or cold) 5. all rooms were different SIZES (mine was pretty large but another room for the same price was half the size) 6. staff speaks only SPANISH 7. difficult to get around (multiple buildings, hallways were NARROW and winding, small elevators, STEEP staircases) 8. MAZE-like (not only was it uncomfortable, we got very lost even when trying to find our 9. LIGHTING wasn't great in the rooms or bathrooms. I could not use the closet bc I couldn't see anything. 10. the KEYS wouldn't work. mine never did and the other key for my room took many tries. the one good thing was that the staff was very nice and did their best to help. They were accommodating and always showed up quickly to help if something wasn't working.

Yelp
This is a wonderful hotel; great staff, unique appearance, and slap bang in the heart of old Seville. Rather than a single block, the hotel is a collection of different houses accessed by a maze of beautiful winding lanes and courtyards, with beautiful plants, fountains and at night, the smell of jasmine in the air. We were only there one night, in one of the spa bathroom bedrooms they have a great prepayment deal on; great room for €80 something Euro, fabulous bathroom (well, no 79 had) and really spacious. Only real minus if you have to have WiFi is its only available in public areas (which vary between indoor Moorish/Andalusian lounges and charming open courtyards). And have breakfast opposite the hotel. But a wonderful place.

Yelp
Awful hotel. Terribly rude staff and disgusting odor in the room made for an over all awful experience. Additionally a you must be able to navigate a long dark labyrinth to get to your room unless you have a room in the main building. If you are looking for a hotel in Seville I strongly advise against the casas Juderias and recommend Alfonso XIII just nearby.

Yelp
This hotel is a perfectly-preserved time capsule. It encompasses many adjacent former luxurious homes, so it is a bit confusing to get around at first. But getting lost in the hotel is a great way to see off that it has to offer. It is centrally located on a street with plenty of shops and restaurants. The hotel has a stunningly beautiful restaurant in a central atrium. The cleaning staff is very active and the hotel is spotless. I would eagerly stay here again on my next trip to Seville. The only downside is having to go to the lobby to use the WIFI. But the lobby is a beautiful place to sit and have a drink, and who goes on vacation to be chained to the WIFI?
