I recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo. I had the BEST pistachio martini of my life here. Each drink we tried was delicious and it is such a fun experience to choose the ingredients of your drink! The atmosphere was great and the prices were reasonable for the experience.

The cocktails were very fruity and were made based on our pick of ingredients. We started with a coconut-pineapple Pina colada and a mango-yuzu mojito. We finally had a coffee and chocolate martini. To pair with the drinks, we ordered a Margherita pizza but we found it to be a bit salty. Would recommend this place for those looking for fruity cocktails in a cozy ambiance.

Disappointing Experience Compared to Everywhere Else We spent nights exploring different bars in Japan and had a brilliant time overall — great service, atmosphere, and drinks almost everywhere we went. Unfortunately, this place was the exception. The service was noticeably poor, with staff seeming disinterested and inattentive. On top of that, the cocktails were overpriced, and to make matters worse, several of them were simply undrinkable. Compared to the high standard we experienced elsewhere, this bar really fell short. Wouldn’t recommend.

I absolutely loved this place! It has the cutest library aesthetic, the people working there were so friendly and nice and I love the concept of the place. They bring you a bowl with a bunch of different fruits/flavours in it such as mango, cacao, jalapeño, coconut, passion fruit, etc and you pick one flavour from the bowl for your cocktail. Depending on your flavour the bartender will suggest another fruit that pairs well with it and then ask what type of liquor you want and he works away creating a unique cocktail based on your chosen fruit/flavours. I chose passion fruit and he suggested pairing it with mango and I loved the combination. My partner chose cacao which tasted very similar to an espresso martini. I saw some other patrons chose passionfruit as well but had a completely different mix which was so cool to see the endless combinations they make. I saw a coconut drink being made in an actual coconut as well. This place is so unique, I would definitely recommend to everyone!

Really cool concept bar with amazing drinks and service! We picked fruit from a basket, and the servers provided us with recommendations for accompanying liquors. I got the yuzu, ginger, and lemongrass with gin and it was refreshing and not too sweet!

This is a beautiful little bar tucked away in an unassuming corner of Tokyo. The outside is elegantly adorned with ivy and the interior is classily decorated with books and colourful artworks illuminated by dim light. Very good spot for a date and in the corner table are games including Jenga, which was a nice touch. The barman was very pleasant. The cocktails are selected by ingredients, which you are presented in the form of a fruit bowl. They were delicious and well balanced and very instagrammable. However, they were on the pricier side for Tokyo (approx 3400 yen each) and the price wasn’t listed so came as a bit of a surprise. We also ordered the pork and butter chicken curries and were very pleasantly surprised with how delicious they were. Good night overall but at a cost

The drinks were delicious . They brought a bowl of fruits and you could choose two to make a cocktail or mocktail. The charge is 550 per person and 3,000 yen per drink. The atmosphere is so quiet and there was no music (we came at 9pm on a weekend). The vibes would have been amazing but we were sat behind a table where there were customers who were speaking in a REALLY loud voice and were very inconsiderate of the atmosphere. We asked to be moved as soon as we sat and we were told that no seats were available, although we could clearly see many available seats.

My wife stopped in at THESE after wandering around the neighborhood looking for another spot. We were fortunate,because THESE is a beautiful bar. I was at least four decades older than anyone else in the place,but I was treated with dignity and warmth. The concept using fruit choices for cocktails is fun, but unnecessary. THESE stands on its own merits as a great drinking establishment. I had my fruit drink and then turned to my tried and true, Grey Goose on the rocks. THESE Is a great bar.

Super nice vibey bar with a unique concept - they will show you a bowl of produce and you pick a few items that they will turn into a drink (alcoholic or NA). Dark and romantic vibes that are book/library themed. The drinks are all delicious and presented beautifully, and the little popcorn snack they give was also delicious! We visited on a Saturday night right after dinner and my group of 6 was able to sit down right away. They spoke great English too so we had no issues communicating what we wanted. Would definitely return!

Very unique and ambiant lounge bar that serves cocktails based on the fruits/vegetables you choose. Pick two fruits, you can have them separate or mixed. By default, we love to experiment so we had a list of mixed fruits we decided to pick from. The server will recommend two type of alcohol to mix with. You can go with the recommendation or just off of what you think you would like with it. There is an upstairs and a downstairs area. We opted downstairs as it felt more private vs upstairs is a more open setting. Below are the mixed drinks we made: Orange mango rum Strawberry pineapple gin Strawberry mint rum Coffee egg white dark rum Cucumber coconut rum The Coffee & Egg white with dark rum was my absolute favorite. Tasted like just a regular cup of coffee with a hint of sweetness and a bit of alcohol. My husband's favoeite was the Strawberry & Mint with rum. Overall, give yourself a go at it and see if you like your own unique spin on it. If you like unique cocktails, come here! We will definitely come back when we come back to Japan!

What a lovely surprise! The place is a hidden gem in a dark tiny alley. Even harder to find when pouring rain! But be patient - it is worth it. As others have mentioned they do bring out a big bowl of in-season fruits so have fun and try something new. They do an excellent job pairing whatever crazy combo you picked out and making it delicious. I got a vodka drink with Asian pear, mangosteen, cherries and giant grapes. My date got pineapple, mango, calamansi and lemon with gin. And yeah, their popcorn was the best tasting popcorn with some magical seasoning. I wanted to order more drinks so that I could get more popcorn!

This was by far the coolest/tastiest bar I've ever been to. I went with two friends and we each picked a different drink concoction from the fruit bowl (see attached picture) so that we could try each other's. Mine contained watermelon, and my friends' contained mango + passion fruit and cherry (see other attached picture). All of them were amazing. You get complimentary popcorn with every drink that you order. I normally hate popcorn, but the seasoning that they put on this popcorn was so amazing it actually made me like popcorn. The ambiance of the place was also really cool. There's books everywhere because it's supposed to resemble a library and it was relatively quiet the entire time that we were there.

This is a really cool bar, tucked away in Roppongi off in what seems like a residential area, across the street from Butagumi. Go eat some of the best tonkatsu at Butagumi and then come here to the Library Bar for a post-dinner drink. Upon walking in, you may think you are in San Francisco or New York - it's a dimly lit, swanky lounge with lots of bookshelves and books, sticking true to its namesake. And by the amount you're paying for a cocktail, you may as well be in SF or NY. Not for the faint of heart - each cocktail will run you about $15-18. If you don't speak Japanese and the servers or bartenders don't speak English, you can usually get by okay. They will bring you a bowl full of fruit where you'll pick the type of fruit that you want in your drink. Some things you may find: mint, sugarcane, kiwi, passionfruit, pineapple. I made some combination with kiwi and passionfruit and it was delicious; I'm pretty sure there was vodka in there, but I couldn't taste it - it felt like I was drinking juice or eating fruit out of a glass. It's also easy to make weird combinations if you pick the wrong things / too many ingredients, so remember that less is probably more, and you can ask them for recommendations too. It's a unique experience and would recommend it if you're already in the area and don't mind dropping a little bit of money for a drink. If I come back to Tokyo, I think I'd stick to the more traditional, smaller bars in Shibuya and leave these kind of loungey experiences for the States.

Went here after dining at Butagumi (tonkatsu) which is across the street. Super cute and cool, very low key bar. Library theme. They show you a basket of fruit and herbs and you point to what you like and they make a cocktail of your choice with it! We got a little bowl of complimentary seasoned popcorn and it was so good. I really recommend this cool spot, even if you are not eating at Butagumi.

Fantastic quaint cocktail bar hidden in a quiet neighbourhood. The place is darkly lit which is perfect for a quiet night or a date. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, they bring you a basket of fruit, and then they pair the fruit of your choice with the spirit. You can also do vice versa if you like. The basket has very fresh and seasonal produce so you are bound to have different styles of drinks every time. My favorite drink was a grape martini that was paired with shiso. Very delicious! A great place to check out.

I seriously debated about writing this review because I wanted to be greedy and keep this little gem hidden. Sometimes, a secret spot looses it charm when it becomes too "popular". But, fellow yelpers, I'm writing this as a good samaritan and I hopes that if you do happen to visit this charming bar, you do so with respect. This bar is tucked in the back streets of Nishi-Azabu and it's not a place you would stumble upon on one of your nights out with a group of friends. No, this place is special. This is the type of place you come to with one, maybe two, people just to relax and talk the night away. Time slows as you enter the dark bar. It's cozy - filled with books and nicknacks. It's almost as though you've been invited into someone's old charming study and have the priviledge of pondering the meaning of life over a whiskey. Ladies, if you're not a whiskey drinker, don't worry. The staff comes to your table with a large basket of "seasonal fruit" you can select one or two fruits and they'll make a fresh cocktail of your choice. I think I had a tart yet sweet mix of rhubarb and strawberries. Out of this world. Be wise. Pick the right drinking partner for this spot.

This is one of my favorite bars in Tokyo. The quality of ingredients, atmosphere, and service are fantastic. It is truly an experience. Can't wait to come back to Tokyo just for this bar.

Great cocktails. Choose your drink from a menu, based on a fruit basket presented on arrival, or order off-menu. A small, dim, cozy space lined with bookshelves. The drinks were very well made. ¥2200 per drink.

A really cool spot that I plan to return to soon! They presented us with a bowl of ingredients for that day and we got to choose our cocktails based on whichever ingredients we chose. All of them were really tasty, and the ambience was great.

Too cramped. And this cover charge nonsense fir a totally empty place early on a weekday is a bit nerve wrecking. If you don't mind tiny places, full of things it certainly has an interesting ambience, people who speak some words of English and a great variety of cocktails.
