Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa, Chiang Mai

From the moment we arrived, this hotel was a disappointment. The online photos look far better than the reality.||The front desk staff did not greet us. I had to initiate the interaction, and she simply asked for our passports with no welcome or explanation. Our family was also split into different buildings, separating my husband and me from our adult children, which was inconvenient and seemingly unnecessary since we came across few other visitors during our stay. ||Our room was dark, extremely outdated, worn and tired. and clearly not properly cleaned. Housekeeping seems to only make the bed and replace towels — not actually clean. There was filth around the base of the toilet, thick dust on surfaces, and a phone that looked like it had never been sanitized. By the way, there are fees for local phone calls. ||Our balcony overlooked what felt like an eerie wasteland. The so-called plunge pools were filled with debris and looked abandoned. A haven for mosquitoes and critters. The closet had two hangers, stained slippers and two robes. The hotel only provides one room key, which is frustrating for two adults. There is no iron / ironing board. ||The food was mediocre at best. So many people working in the restaurant, hardly any customers, yet the service was almost nonexistent. Three nights here was three nights too many. I’m relieved to be leaving and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish I could give zero stars.

Beautiful resort. We were there in January so too cold to enjoy outside areas. Lots of mosquitos, bring bug spray. Rooms were very nice and so is the feel of the resort. Breakfast was good and buffet style. Self-serve coffee machines is always a bonus for me. It’s a bit out of the way but very quiet. The staff was super nice and friendly.

At Siripanna Resort, we got a truly authentic Thai experience. We stayed 2 nights, as part of our holiday in Chiang Mai. Whether it’s a bit rustic-looking architecture or the Thai food offerings - the property met our expectations really well. Staff members are really welcoming and friendly. The location of the resort is convenient and quiet at same time— a characteristic of top properties in Chiang Mai. Some of the things—like doors and lighting fixtures—could use some maintenance work. The rest is all in perfect condition.

0/5 — Siripanna Resort Chiang Mai: A Hospitality Horror Show If there were a Hall of Fame for Hospitality Disasters, Siripanna Resort would be the poster child. I wish I were being dramatic, but no — this place delivered a full-blown lizard-to-the-face experience. Literally. I opened the tea kettle expecting, you know… water. Instead, a full lizard popped out like it was auditioning for Mission Impossible and launched itself onto my face. If I wanted wildlife encounters, I’d have booked a jungle trek, not a “resort.” And the service? Imagine sending a request into a corporate void where time stands still. You could grow old, retire, and watch your legacy mature before they show up. Absolutely unacceptable response times. The pool? Oh, that swampy situation deserves its own operational risk audit. Insects floating like garnish, murky water, and mosquitoes thriving as if the resort had pivoted to becoming an official breeding center. I half-expected WHO to show up with hazard suits. To top it off, the place has the audacity — the strategic misalignment — to charge premium prices for substandard, downright shabby service standards. Talk about negative ROI. Bottom line: Overpriced, underperforming, and genuinely unsafe. If you value your sanity — and your face — please deploy your travel budget elsewhere.

For context I am not a 5star gal - I can be easily pleased. Overall it needs updating and some tender loving care! Old doesn’t have to be dank and musty. The rooms albeit large felt dark and moldy. We wanted quiet and it felt like the couple beside us was with us (paper thin walls on first floor). - Plunge pool not private you see your neighbour and the mosquitos chase you away anyway so we couldn’t use it. -Staff were transactional and at times friendly. They were fairly responsive when you call for something (within minutes for water one time, another time we waited 15 minutes). - Bed hard as a rock, pillows flattened and/or hard. - Shower some mould and water temp varied every shower we took from chilled to burning hot. Quite unpleasant! - Mosquitos were very bad when we arrived then they sprayed and felt a world of difference. Sadly the spray was 330p on Friday - optimal pool time. - Everything additional is over priced. Buffet for breakfast has everything but it’s over priced considering we can go to market for under $100 baht and get amazing fresh meat, chicken porridge and sticky rice. - Use grab from airport (for context it was $25 Canadian on Wed night night hotel pick up versus $7 Sunday morning via grab) - Pool ok - it was clean for us, some nice sun early (11am-2pm) but the green towels are awful, shredded and holes in them…sad. For what we are paying it seems misaligned and unfortunate. They could really take the bones and make it charming again. Freshen it up with a little paint on the exterior, fresh linens and new towels, and make it feel a little nicer with better lighting.

We were really disappointed with our stay here. We don't have really high standards, but for the price we paid we were expecting more! The location meant grab drivers never wanted to pick you up or take you back. They also through a super loud party for a few people on NYE, which they charged an additional £35 each for (?), keeping everyone in the hotel awake. The pool was okay, mostly in the shade with lots of leaves, but there were families having fun in it. Overall I wouldn't recommend.

Siripanna Villa Resort Chiang Mai is a really beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere, spacious rooms, and lovely traditional Lanna-style design. The staff are friendly and helpful, making the whole experience very comfortable.The pool area and garden are especially nice, and the location is convenient while still feeling quiet and private. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

What beautiful place this is. The staff here are so helpful. I booked in for 7days but extended my say for another 11 nights. If you are looking for relaxing place to unwind and refocus then get booking. The whole property is just beautiful same as the staff 😍. The spar and massages are relaxing and again the staff are beautiful and amazing. The hotel is so clean the food is out of this world. Gym on site not the biggest but does the job. Solo travel and the staff went above and beyond. I told them what I wanted to do and see and the dates I wanted to go they sort everything. Definitely 5 star 🌟. To the staff you all do a brilliant job and you all made me feel welcome. Hand on heart what a beautiful peaceful place. Much appreciated paul wood. 5 star 🌟
