Butterfly Brewing Co. & Imago Gastro Pub

We don’t drink so we just came for the butterflies! It was a beautiful afternoon. We ended up getting lunch after and it was delicious. You also get a discount to the garden if you buy a drink.

Great brew pub, very friendly staff and an amazing butterfly garden. You can take your beer into the garden, while the butterflies land on you. They don’t even try to sneak sips from your beer!

Stopped off for lunch on the way back from the waterfalls, nice setting where you are close enough to see monkeys in the trees nearby, food was very tasty and a good atmosphere.

We stopped by this brewery after a day of hiking, and it was the perfect way to unwind. The Choco Java coffee stout was rich and smooth, while the Chilly Chili packed so much flavour—both were fantastic in their own way. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and house-made onion rings, and while everything was delicious, the onion rings absolutely stole the show. They were hands down the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-visit! Also the butterfly garden was super neat to see!! ***and totally free

Enjoyed this restaurant twice on our visit to Montezuma! Kids wandered the paths around the butterfly gardens while we enjoyed the beers. The first time we tried all the appetizers, which were all delicious. The second time we tried some hamburger and grilled veggie sliders.. food didn’t disappoint. The kids also enjoyed the different lemonades that were offered: regular, mint and mango mint and well as some house-made passion fruit sodas. The jungle view is lots of fun — monkeys entertained us while we waited for our food and the butterfly garden was filled with different species to appreciate. It’s a perfect stop after the canola or the waterfalls via Sun Trails.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent! Big portion for the chicken tender plate with Portia’s salad and house salad!

Ok, honestly if you are in the area of Santa Teresa or Montezuma, it's the best spot around for a nice beer and a very good burger. The balcony is absolutely beautiful with all the nature all around. The butterfly garden after the dinner is a nice little walk. Go there.

This a restaurant not a hotel. The food is sub par, fried and heavy. The beer is 3200 colonies for a pint. I had a stout which was good and my wife the lemongrass IPA. Beer was good and the restaurant is situated in the jungle in a unique setting but the service and food would not bring me back. If you want go for a pint but don’t plan to eat there.There is better food in town.
