Parc de la Chute-Montmorency

I went at the end of December. Water was frozen and part of the waterfall, too. It's a beautiful place. Perfect for pictures. Gorgeous views. You can walk and get close to the bottom of the waterfall. We went down in the cable car, and you can use it to go up and down as many times as you want for a fee. There is a little gift shop with a coffee shop and snacks. On the top, you can walk across the suspension bridge, which is directly over the falls and take in the scenery.

Visited Parc de la Chute Montmorency on December 23rd, 2024. We arrived on a Monday and found that it wasn’t overcrowded, which was nice for a more peaceful experience. Unfortunately, the main service office was closed, meaning all activities and services were unavailable during our visit. Despite that, we were still able to walk around and explore the park, passing by the blocked areas like everyone else. The waterfall itself is stunning, and the surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful, even in the winter. I’d definitely recommend visiting during the spring or summer to enjoy all the activities, but even in December, it’s worth seeing the breathtaking views. A great spot to explore if you’re in the Quebec City area!

This is a great tourist attraction. The water fall is amazing to watch. There are several different areas to observe the falls from. There is a fair amount of walking. There are some optional areas you may visit that do require lots of stair climbing. Nice park for the kiddos nearby.

Amazing view. You can walk on top of the waterfalls. It’s truly a great place to visit. Best thing is that they made it wheelchair accessible ♿️. The walking path is more than wide enough and they have elevators. You can take a panoramic gondola 🚠, drive, hike, or climb 🧗 Up there there’s a restaurant (closed when I visited), clean bathrooms, and a store with snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. They have a coffee/hot chocolate machine.

This is a full 5 plus. It's an incredible waterfall that is higher than Niagara falls. You can walk up to the top or take the cable car Either way the view is spectacular. There water going over the falls can fill an Olympic size pool every second! Another not to be missed sight/site in the Quebec city area .

Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Went on a Saturday afternoon, the park was crowded (weekends, between 10:30-2:00pm seems like the peak times), I recommend visiting early during weekdays and book tickets ahead of time. Buying your ticket on the spot will be a hassle since the visitor’s center is crazy busy. The highlight of our visit is the 83-meter-high waterfall, we also enjoyed the stunning views from different vantage points, the suspension bridge, inside the restaurant and the cable car. The trail behind the restaurant is well maintained although there seems to be an off-putting smell close to the vending machines. Access to get in to the cable car takes time, so bring loads of your patience and if you have kids in tow, make sure to bring sunscreens, umbrella and water to stay hydrated! It can get crazy hot lining up during the summer. Parking lot is busy on weekends. But there are 2 parking lots available to access the park.

We rented bicycles in Old Quebec and biked the 8 miles to the stunning Montmorency Falls. It was such a fun adventure! After the ride, we took the cable car up, which was surprisingly stable and reassuring for someone nervous about heights. Walking the platforms around the falls allowed us to really feel the power of the water—an unforgettable experience!

We opted to walk up. There’s a tram you can take instead for about $12 a person. It was a lovely experience. Definitely a workout. The bridge was really cool. You could feel it moving when you’re on it!

We visited here on a rainy weekday, and, we didn't have to wait in lineups. There are 2 parkings available one a the bottom of gondola and the other one close to the restaurant and falls. You have to pay for all-day parking and you can leave and come back as many times as you want during that date. The views are spectacular; you have a great view of Québec City and Île d'Orleans and the falls view is beautiful. Walking on the suspended bridge and enjoying the the views is so worth it. Unfortunately we visited on a rainy weekday day, and we couldn't enjoy the zip lines; also, it's only available on weekends.

Only reason why I'm giving this lace 3 stars is the price they charge. It came out to $13.45 pp. Which I thought was a rip, especially since you can drive up to the upper parking lot where the Montmorency Mason is located and go in after 5pm when the parking attendant is gone. If you park at the bottom, you can opt to ride up the gondola, but it's going to cost you about $15 round trip. So if you can wait until after 5pm and park in the upper lot, you'll save on the ride to the top. Besides, it's way better taking pictures during sunset and with the waterfall being lit up when you are at the top. My other complaint is when you look at the map, it looks like the trail loops around, but it does not. If you take the left trail, which is the nature trail, it will just take you to the left side of the fall. It's about a 5 minute walk to the fall. Now, if you want to climb the stairs up to the top or feel the mist, take the trail and follow it to the right. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to spend here and not knowing that the trail did not loop around, we decided to take the left trail and then turned around and left. We probably spent about 30 minutes or so here. Since we've already paid for the parking/entrance fee, we drove back after 5pm to the top parking lot and walked over to the bridge to take some amazing night and sunset shots.

You need tickets to visit the waterfall. You can either buy the entrance ticket online or at the entrance. Separate prices for Quebec residents and non residents. We bought the tickets online and they scan them at the entrance booth. They have a cable cart that you can ride up and down to see the suspension bridge and waterfall, which requires a separate ticket than the entrance ticket. The views of the waterfall are better from the stairs. We parked at the lower parking lot and walked up the stairs. The sign said there are 487 steps. There were several observation decks so you can stop and rest.

Amazing waterfall! We did a guided bus tour of Quebec City that included Montmorency Falls and it did not disappoint. In fact it is taller than Niagara Falls, which consists of two main waterfalls: Horseshoe and American Falls, but significantly less wide (there is a third that is narrow called Bridal Veil). We got to see the falls from the bottom since the tram and visitors center were closed in November but still very impressed. Looking forward to returning and hopefully will at a time the visitors center and tram are open.

The waterfalls were named after the Duke of Montmorency in his honor by Samuel de Champlain in 1613. The falls are just a short drive from Quebec City and a natural formation where the Montmorency River cascades over the rock face to join the St. Lawrence River downstream. this is the bidding, where you get the ticket for a cable car or start your hiking to the top through the boardwalk. They also have a small gift shop and restrooms. It has a souvenir shop, an interpretation center for the visitors to learn a little more about the history of the place, and an outdoor restaurant where you can dine with an incredible panoramic view of the surroundings. It's recommended to have reservations if you wish to dine here.

Montmorency Falls probably isn't in the conversation when talking about impressive waterfalls, unlike its sister to the South, Niagara - but it absolutely should be! Montmorency Falls is almost 100ft higher than Niagara and just as impressive. Montmorency is a gorgeous waterfall just outside of Québec City. There's a suspension bridge over the falls, but the wide views from across the river are just as beautiful in a different way (if you're not a big fan of bridges over waterfalls LOL) Aside from the suspension bridge and view from across the river, you can also take the stairway right up to the falls (that is a little bit of a hike) or take the gondola cable car and get great views of Montmorency Falls along with old town Quebec City to boot! The giant cascades coming down the 270ft falls are truly awe inspiring and make you feel so tiny in comparison to the rushing power and might of nature. With its close proximity to Quebec City and beautiful views you can stare at forever, Montmorency Falls should definitely be on your list of spots to visit in Quebec!

Beautiful, amazing, wonderful! The park is clean and easy to access. We parked on the top, walked the bridge, went down the stairs and rode the cable car back up to the top lot. There are places to have a picnic and a little stand to get shaved ice near the top of the stairs.

In Beaumont, Quebec City and not sure what to do? This was literally an impromptu middle of the day/lunchtime excursion for me... I drove out and figured I'd have time to ride the cable car and walk along the deck across from the falls and that's exactly what I did. Once there, I learned you can walk across a suspension bridge, climb a million stairs to the observation huts on the sides of the rocks or even go rock climbing right next to the falls. Me being afraid of heights - NO THANKS to all that... my choice was spot on for what I needed for that experience. I've never been to Niagra...this one's TALLER, but more narrow. It was pretty cool. It was also a beautiful day out so WIN for a lunchtime break! Only drawback is the line outside in the heat waiting to get back on the cable car to get back UP to where the parking area is. And so busy, just getting around people can be difficult. It was late in August - season coming to an end. I can't imagine in peak season how crazy it would be. Have patience!

Went at the end of December and it was partially frozen but still so beautiful! Walk to the falls from the main building was not bad at all and was accessible for everyone.

We had some time and so decided to stop by late in the day. We arrived around 3PM and paid to enter the park. We were told it closes at 10PM. So then we parked and got round trip tickets to ride the cable car to the top. There's a suspension bridge that's pretty stable to walk on that will take you across the falls. It was pretty impressive in the cable car to view the waterfall. I wish I was equipped to walk the steps up and then take the cable car down. There's also parking at the top, which we didn't know about. There are additional trails that we didn't have a chance to check out but my friend walked a little bit and saw pastures of rolling green grass. Seems like a wonderful park to walk and the day was a little cloudy with a sprinkles. There's also zip lining across the waterfalls too. Quick stop and then we had to be on our way but glad we stopped by to check it out.

Fun little park an easy drive from city. Was pretty crowded when I was there. Park consists largely of the waterfall and trails to look at waterfall. Trails are well maintained and provide good opportunities to view falls. Although falls are massive, not the most picturesque I have seen as concrete barriers give a very artificial feel. Wouldn't go out of way to see, but not a bad stop if in area.

This is a very scenic falls and there is a nice and convenient viewing boardwalk set up and leading from the visitor center for the perfect photo opportunities. It's one of the area's major natural attractions. You can also get much closer than this boardwalk location by taking a tram or going down the side of a cliff via stairs. I think you will get very wet via the stair route, but you'll be close! The falls is actually 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls, but it's a little deceptive and hard to tell since it is in an open expanse. It's still impressive though and very worthwhile to see if you're in the Quebec City area.

Simply gushing when we were there. We only did the bridge and the small pergola for shots. I wish we had taken the aerial car down for the fun of it and walked all the way to the bottom of the falls for a soaking. ($27 per person felt a bit pricey at the time) We saw a couple people out there but it's probably a bit slippy. There are also stairs to get down but pretty steep if you have dicky knees. Arrive early, 9.15 am, the hoards of people were arriving by 10.00am. After the falls head over to Ile D'Orleans. Not as impressive as Kaieteur Falls in Guyana (largest single drop in the world) but we definitely felt safer.

Pretty cool spot to take a walk. Looks like yelp offered a free parking pass if you check in. Wish I noticed that earlier. You pay a fee to get in then once you're inside you pay another fee if you want to take the gondola up to the top. We decided to just walk on the promenade and that put us close to the Falls. All in all nice place to sit and relax.

Stopped by for a photo opportunity which was great! The view of the falls was incredible! I would have given 5 stars but the lady in charge he gift shop was rude.

I got to see the falls for the first time today and they are stunning. I went on a tour bus and got to see the top and bottom, but would have liked to spend more time. Next time, I will pack a picnic and enjoy most of the day. There are zip lines and cable car rides. There is a nice restaurant at the top and more of a fast food at the bottom. Absolutely beautiful!

Bonjour If you visit Quebec City and you don't come to these water falls: Fire your tour guide! (Or traveling mate.) This place is the BEST! It's an absolute visit when in Quebec City. You take a paid cable car to the top. Then you hike above the falls on a bridge. Then you slow walk down the side of the falls and take lots of photos and maybe get a little fall mist. You can save $$ by walking up the Stairs to the top of the falls instead of the cable car. If you are unable to walk--then just approach the falls from the front walkway as close as you can get. Large easy parking lot---free when we were there but I understand they may charge at times. Have you ever heard of Niagara Falls? These are larger (by a bit)--No S__t! Look it up! Au revoir

Come see one the top natural attractions in Montreal. Definitely start at the bottom of the falls for the best pictures. Unfortunately for us the walking path on the right side climbing up was closed. But going up on the Tram was another opportunity for some more nice pictures. Pay once and ride it as many times as you want. We brought sandwiches and had a nice lunch at the falls.

This was amazing! I was under the impression the park was free, but it wasn't really, as you have to pay to park. Totally worth it, though. We walked the whole thing: the Baronne Belvedere, the Suspension Bridge, and the Panoramic Staircase. I thought the best views were about halfway down the Panoramic Staircase, so if you don't care about getting soaked from the mist at the bottom, you can get away with just going down halfway (so you only have to walk back up halfway!). My son and husband also did the zip line. They give you a ticket you can scan later to get a video of yourself doing the zip line, which was a surprisingly good video from multiple angles. The cable car wasn't working when we visited. We popped over to Ile d'Orleans afterwards for a delicious wood-fired pizza lunch, and a great view of the falls (at Vignoble Ste-Petronille) and followed that up with the amazing chocolate-dipped soft serve at Chocolaterie d'Orleans (yes, it's worth waiting in the long line for it!). Such a fun day!

It has a really pretty view and an easy walking trail if you can't climb the 400+ steps

A must see. There's so much to see here. I'm young and walk quick and don't linger in one place for too long but I spent quite a bit of time here. It beautiful and even though the zip lines and cable cars were closed there's plenty to do. Taking the stairs down as far as you can is a must (if you're physically able). It's fairly easy to get to even without a car using just public transit.

Beautiful spot to visit. Pathways were clean and relatively easy to walk. Stairs led to the bridge and across the bridge was a walk towards a different viewing platform. Checked in on Yelp to use the free parking pass!

Wonderful waterfall close to Quebec City only drive 25 minutes to get there. I'm so impressed with the size of the waterfall and how beautiful it is. There is a stairway walking down to the bottom of the waterfall and it looks amazing! Also has a tram nearby and you can see the nice view of the waterfall. My friends and I were enjoying so much, and we had such a nice experience. If you travel to Quebec City you must come to this place, you won't feel regret. Recommended!

This park was on my must see list for Quebec City. It did not disappoint. This park is beautifully maintained and accessible for all ages.

Robert was very rude to Americans. Was annoyed to speak English and kept trying to separate my family.

What a beautiful waterfall! I've been to several, including Niagara from the Canadian side. As mentioned by others, this is taller than Niagara, just beautiful in many ways. The ride on the skyway you're a series of steps and viewing platforms is easy. Just take your time. For those that don't like heights, perhaps a bus or car drive to the falls would be better so you can drive up to the main house closer to the falls. Once up at the top, there is a footbridge that walks across the falls. This is not for those fearful of heights. It's an incredible view. If traveling in the fall, the colors of the trees is phenomenal. It's breathtaking. Highly recommend this side trip out of Quebec City.

Very pretty and easy trail to go see the waterfall. Walk the brindle over the fall and take in the scenery. Get there early enough to enjoy the weather and beat the fees for parking.

Came here as part of our trip to Quebec City. Apparently this is taller than Niagara Falls. Parking: You can pay for parking on/near the top of the falls or you can walk in for free. There's actually plenty of street parking on the way to the falls if you explore the side streets. The walk to get into the park area is fairly short. Washrooms: There are washrooms on either side on the top of the falls. Be warned - go early or risk a giant line for the washrooms (especially for females although that seems to always be true). Falls: To get to the falls, follow the boardwalk and you will reach a suspension bridge that overlooks the falls. Amazing view from the top to see the outlet of the falls, great place to stop and take some photos. Further along, you will reach a staircase that winds down to the bottom of the falls. Definitely go down there if able, you will enjoy just how grand the falls are. At the bottom, if you go close to the falls, you can feel the mist created by the falls. Cool tip: If you come during the winter, you might see the mist freeze into really fascinating ice mounds. Anyways, there is a gondola like ride for any elderly, disabled or just plain lazy people if you're willing to pay. Recommend walking down and then deciding if you want to walk all the way back up or just ride the gondola back up. There's also zip lining - it's not a super long ride but definitely looks fun. Just note you do need to walk back all your gear to return it. Other activity is rock climbing which you may see if people are doing it that day. Overall, fantastic view and really awesome to see. Highly recommend going.

A must visit if you're going to Quebec City! The falls and the surrounding area is beautiful!! I visited towards the middle/end of fall and the foliage was beautiful. It felt like I was in the middle of the woods. The falls are impressive themselves and you can see them from many different angles. Entrance is free as long as you're not parking a car. It is a very easy and inexpensive bus ride from the center of the city (about 30 minute ride + $3.50 each way-must be exact change though) so not a problem if you don't have a car. You probably won't need more than an hour total here unless you want to explore the surrounding park a bit. Highly recommend.

The falls isn't as huge as niagara falls, and it's partially green, but it's a nice park to enjoy walking through. To park in the park, it's $12.50 per car. Seems like not much people park, so I assume they are parking outside in the neighborhood and walking in for free, but we don't know much of the neighborhood. I had bad phone reception so I wasn't able to check in and take advantage of the parking voucher either, so we had to pay for parking. It's a nice walk to the bridge that suspends right in front of the falls. There are wooden stairs to several stops to take different angles of the falls. There are also several playgrounds for the kids, as they race ahead while us adults take our time taking pictures all around the area and picnic tables to eat at. There's also a gondola that's around $12 one way, or $14.50 round trip. We only took it one way because it was more spectacular to leisurely walk down the wooden stairs and stop at several rest stops, but it would have been hard to walk back up. We thought we'd take only 2 hours, but it took us 4 hours just enjoying the view and walking the path.

Awesome place to visit in Quebec. It's amazing... even tho it was freezing, the pandora If views are breath takings. We went on the Cable Car.. and also walk thru the suspension bridge !! YES WE DID.. everything was frozen but beautiful. Please come visit this place if you're in Quebec. Loooved it!

Beautiful and worth the trek. When we visited the gondola was out of service. We walked up the stairs only to discover there are 2 parking lots at the top that could have saved us the stair workout. There is currently lots of construction to upgrade the pathways and grounds. The new upgrades are looking really nice. At the top of the waterfall there is a hiking path along the river, I highly recommend it, it's beautiful, an easy walk, and there are gorgeous rocks that you can walk out onto. Pictures included.

I guess when your country is home to one of the biggest -- and by far the most visited -- waterfalls in the world (Niagara, which I have reviewed here:https://bit.ly/2Pc0k1E), everything else sort else gets lost in the shuffle. But make no mistake: Chute-Montmorency (Montmorency Falls) and its Park are a must-visit for anyone coming to the greater Québec City area, Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier, or, hell, anywhere in the Provence. I don't know much about the waterfall game, but I'm guessing that accessibility, height of the fall, and the pure violent drama of rushing water are what make for popularity. While it takes a while to walk to the best views and other Falls may be bigger in size and scope, I'll put the loud, boisterous, whooshing water of Chute-Montmorency toe-to-toe with any waterfall in the world. And, if you really want to measure, Chute-Montmorency is almost 100 feet (~30 metres) than Niagara Falls. Take that, Montmorency haters. The best view comes from the suspension bridge at the crest of the Chute-Montmorency...but it takes a bit of walking to get there. This also may deter the acrophobic and vertiginous ... but the bridge is wide, well protected, sturdy, and gives the best vantage point for the rushing waters of Montmorency. While it's not really an overnight place, there's plenty to spend a good half-day there. Manoir Montmorency has a beautiful garden and a restaurant (one of several eateries at the Park). The area surrounding is beautiful and worth exploring; the large, watery expanse right in front of the falls -- a point near near where the Montmorency and St. Lawrence River converge -- gives a lake-like vibe. There are some beautiful trails at Montmorency. As well, there are several other great Falls vantage points from the La Baronne Observation deck, the panoramic staircase, and the Cable Car (which has the added bonus of views of Île d'Orléans [Orleans Island] and Québec City). Long story short: There's a lot to do! Leave plenty of time fall in love with the Falls!

Billed as being higher than Niagara Falls at 278', Montmorency Falls is located 7.5 miles from Quebec City on the western shore of Ile d' Orleans. The falls is located at the mouth of the Montmorency River where it drops into the the Saint Lawrence River. Parc de la Chute=Montmorency has a single falls compared to Niagara Falls which has three. Niagara Falls also has a more picturesque setting and overall landscaping. That being said Montmorency Falls is still impressive. I found that the best views and pictures can be had by climbing one of the wooden stairs next to the falls. Sheltered stops at each level allow for a rest and picture taking. The suspension bridge over the falls is another option. A cable car will take you over to Manor Montmorency which lies at the top of the falls. Near the parking lot is a visitors center which explains the history and geology of the falls. Drinks and snacks are available. There is an admission charge to enter and park.

If you're hankering for some nature close by Quebec City, this is a landmark that's worth visiting. The Montmorency Falls park is pretty close to QC. You can get there by car without traffic in about 15-20 minutes and personally I thought it was worth checking out. There's a small parking lot that leads you to the lovely welcome center of sorts that has a gift shop, restrooms, food and a place where you can sign up for the zipilne across the falls. Also close to the parking lot is the cable car that you can take to the river base below where you can look at the falls from another angle and walk across to the other side and hike up the labyrinth of stairs on the other side of the river for an alternate view of the falls. Or you can simply just take the trail from the welcome center that takes you right next to the falls, where you can walk up higher and walk over the bridge suspended over the falls .. etc. Either way there are lots of viewing options to consider. The falls itself is not like a huge one ala Niagara Falls etc. But it is still majestic to behold, especially from up close. I enjoyed my visit and I do think this is a nice 1-2 hour detour from QC if you're in the area and want to take some lovely photos.

Excellent activity in Quebec. I did the suspension bridge as well as the cable car and it was so worth it! The cable car doesn't go too fast and the view is really worth it if you get into a car with clean windows. I know some areas of my car had scratched or blurry spots in the windows so you wouldn't be able to see that well. Keep this in my mind if you're hesitating, It's definitely something I wasn't too pleased about but we were in an empty car so I could go wherever I liked. The falls are breathtaking and the area is just so well kept it makes you want to explore for hours. They have lots of little stops along the way that offer different view points and the falls offer a little bit of splash back which cools you down. Next time I want to do the parallel stairs all the way to the top!

Some reviewers confuse these Falls of Montmorency outside of Quebec City with the Montmorency Park in Quebec City - they are two different places. My review if for the Falls - Chute in French I have to review this wonderful park before it slips my mind. Right outside of Quebec City (just a few minutes and a few miles) is Parc Montmorency, a beautiful park established for the citizens of Quebec and built around the Falls of Montmorency. This place is worth visiting, regardless of your fitness level. The reference to fitness is because this park has trails for hiking (free), steps/stairs for climbing up the face of the Falls (free), a suspension bridge right across the front of the Falls (free), and a zip-line across the face of the Falls for those that want to experience it in the most intimate way (small charge). These activities are all worth doing and are expertly managed by park personnel - do these. My gals - wife and daughter - both did the zip line across the face of the Falls and were thrilled ... this is real zip-lining, not just a few hundred feet over a forest. The price for zip-lining is relatively inexpensive, the walk over is easily doable, and the management of the activity - from checking in, harnessing up, and zipping across - are handled very well. An added bonus is that they video tape every zip-line across the Falls and you have the ability (one hour) to copy the video onto your cellphone/computer for free after you do the zip-line - this is a very nice benefit that is yours for free. It comes with the ticket to do the zip-line. For those that don't care to zip-line, walking through the park is free, as is the hike up the hills, and the walk up the face of the Falls. The walk across the Falls on the suspension bridge is also free - the only expense up to this point is parking when you enter to park, which is reasonable. They also have a fee paid cable car for those that want to ride up the Falls. The main thing that is for purchase is the zip-lining across the Falls ... and it is worth the price. Half way up to the Falls is the Le Manoir Montmorency - a halfway house where you can eat in one of their nice restaurants or just freshen up after a walk through the park. This is where the cable car drops you off after the rise from the parking lot. It is also where you can begin your walk over to the zip-line. We passed this park a number of times on our way to visit St. Anne du Beaupre in the past - and while we noted the beautiful Falls, we never stopped. This time we did. This is a wonderful provincial park in Quebec and is well worth the visit - whether you zip-line across the Falls or not.

Beautiful and breath taking views. Platforms bring you so close to the waterfall that you can feel the force of the water. Thrilling zip line that's a little pricey, but worth it. Weight limit is 260lbs but with poor weather it was 220 when I went. They also give you free access to a video of you zip lining. Convenient parking. Nice picnic tables and plenty of seating. I would recommend that you go if you are in Quebec.

Pictures do not do this waterfall any justice. It is more spectacular in person and the stair climb down to look at it up close is not as bad as it seems. Highly recommend, especially since it's only 15 minutes from the city and about a 30-45 minute walk/stair climb... depending on how in shape you are. There is parking located on site for a cost, but if you go up a couple of streets and park by the manor, parking is free (but fills up fast)!

A must-see if you're visiting Quebec! Super easy to get to from Old Town--just take the 800 bus and Montmorency Falls is the last stop. The bus drops you off near the top of the falls (not by the parking lot) so if you want, you can climb the stairs down to the base of the falls, or just walk on the suspension bridge over the falls. It's free admission (you only have to pay for parking if you drove, I believe). The wooden stairs are well-maintained but terrifying if you're afraid of heights. The base of the falls gets really misty so bring a poncho or waterproof jacket to keep from getting soaked. The climb back up the stairs isn't nearly as bad, and is a great cardio and booty workout. Highly recommend!

This was amazing! It was actually much more fun than I thought it to be. They've done a great job at creating a whole experience of exploring the waterfall. There is zip lining, a cable car ride and a couple eateries on the premises! I would say this is a must do. Would definitely return!

These water falls are too cool! 30 m higher than Niagara Falls! You can either take a walk up the stairs from the main road (approx 500 steps) or you can drive up to the manor and it's a 5 min walk to get on top of the falls. The stairs has gazebo resting stops along the way up. Great impressive views of the mountain and powerful water falls. From the top the people on the road look like little ants. I enjoyed walking on the suspension bridge above the falls. You won't get wet on the bridge, but if you stand at the bottom of the falls you will be splashed. There is a park at the top and some trails. You can also take the cable car, which I thought was a bit expensive at 14.5 dollars per person. For the dare devil in you there is the Tyrol zip line taking you from one side of the falls to the other. It is free to enter the park and water falls area, but to park your vehicle I think is 12 dollars. The Manoir which is at the top looks nice from outside, but I have heard that the food is not great. It's not as wide as Niagara Falls, so perhaps can't compare, but for someone like me who has not seen that, this was a memorable experience.

This is a great place to spend two hours. We took the gondola up and then walked around and did the 2.5 km hike along the river. We walked down the steps to feel the spray of the fountain. It felt refreshing after all the walking. We bikes from Old Down. It took 50 minutes each way to bike. I highly recommend biking. There is a bike trail the whole way and it's pretty flat. There are plenty of bike racks at the park. It is free to enter park. Gondola cost extra. There are bathrooms. There is a restaurant at the mansion and take and go food places. This is a must see!

In our short visit to Quebec we wanted to do something close to the city without having to take a tour bus and we decided to go to this waterfall and we were very satisfied. First we took a bus from the hotel we were at the Hilton in the city and the bus stop was a short distance from the hotel. In just 45 minutes and with a card that we bought for 24 hours at $10 to pay for the bus, we got to the place very easily. We walked for about 10 minutes because the main entrance is on the other side of where the bus left us. When we arrived at the entrance they explained to us what we could do and the prices so we decided for the funicular with an additional cost. The place is beautiful if it is one of those places that you are left with your mouth open at how beautiful nature is and its splendor. You walk a lot but everything is comfortable and accessible you have to have a mask at least for the funicular I would go back again it's super nice

I love Montmorency Falls. It is taller than Niagara Falls and the way the entire park was setup was beautifully done, except for the challenge of parking. In fact, we came here after close and we couldn't even find where we could pay for parking, but it seems like all of Quebec City is not very parking-friendly. However, the Falls are breathtaking. There are so many different vantage points and you can climb down an exhausting set of stairs to get to the base of it, then climb back up and check out the Falls from the suspension bridge above. There are also options to zipline across the Falls, although they were closed when we came. We thought the place was beautiful and really enjoyed how accessible and beautiful the area was. Don't miss this if you're visiting Quebec City!

Montmorency falls and park is definitely worth the visit (during the summertime at least) and is only a short walk from a bus stop (take the 800 line to the last stop). The only issue I had was that there didn't seem to be any obvious "Welcome to Montmorency" type sign, so I had to take a guess and walk towards a parking lot with grassy areas nearby that looked "park"ish. The park is well-maintained and very beautiful and green during the summer. The restrooms located near the parking lot have huge restroom symbols drawn on the side and make it easy to spot even from far away. There's also a gazebo at the center of the park with vending machines in case you forgot your water, a couple benches, and outlets if you're desperate to charge your phone. To view the waterfall, you can walk across a bridge located directly above the falls, but I personally thought the most amazing view was from the bottom looking up. However, you better have some comfortable clothes and shoes on, because you'll have to walk down (and probably back up!) a gazillion steps. Be careful of the 'splash zone!' towards the bottom of the falls, so tread carefully because it can get pretty misty and slippery.

Nice waterfall near Quebec City. They are building a walkway along the river bank, so there is a lot of construction. The park offers multiple viewpoints to see the waterfall, some get you quite wet. I was a bit surprised that the entrance fee for Quebec residents is $5 and for everyone else is $10... I just imagined how much noise it would be if we did something like this in Ontario. Anyway, it's a nice place to visit while in Quebec. Removing one star due to construction and lack of English signage.
