There isn't many places that serve fresh ingredients on a sandwich, but Blimpie delivers! I can't believe they are still around. If you're lucky to find one, it's definitely worth a quick bite.

3/15/22. Always stop in to get a glimpse when in Brooklyn. This is blimpie shop is less expensive then Bronx. Being from Pa, I look forward to anything near a hoodie, and Blimpie is that. I love lots of onions ,oil and vinegar,salt and pepper, don't forget the oregano. It is my breakfast this morning! YES!!!

I sometimes go here for breakfast after work because it's one of the few places that is open at 6:30am. I get off of work at 6:00am. It's usually not crowed and customer service is pretty good. You can now dine inside and the food is pretty good.

Found this store that still existed and immediately I was transported back to My childhood with tasty subs and sandwiches that melt in your mouth. And it still tastes exactly how I remembered it. The staff is friendly as well.

Sandwiches looked good but I was here for the smoothies. Although they did make the smoothie from scratch, the presentation and taste doesn't seem worth the 7$. Especially since they only have one cup size. Service was still good. Very friendly. I'll try the sandwiches another time...

I've been a Blimpie fan since childhood! As a native New Yorker, it was definitely a staple of the fast food of my youth in the 70s & 80s. I still love their Blimpie Best sandwich! This is the only location left, to my knowledge, and I'm so glad they're still around!

Nothing beats the original. I have fond memories of going to Blimpie's and enjoying the subs here since childhood, so I'm glad to see that this location is still standing, with people still sitting down and enjoying their sandwiches. Much prefer their sandwiches to the larger chains; it's good to see that they taste the same as I remember. The service is good, all of the ingredients are fresh, and the workers take the time to add the different toppings as you see fit. The turkey bacon cheddar, Philly cheesesteak and turkey provolone are my recommended ones. This is also one of the few places who have fresh and tasty tuna, which is getting harder to find.

While Blimpie the store was hit or miss. Might be the same people running it, but they're no longer Blimpie so don't be fooled. Now Sam's Pearl Street Deli.

My go to place when I need a bacon egg sandwich or chicken Cesar salad when I'm in the area. The staff is nice and it's always busy

Girl working there didn't even wanna give me a bag cause she forgot that I was sitting and eating there... rude ass.

This place is a machine. Bodega by AM and Blimpie sandwich spot by noon. I got my $2 large coffee 2 days in a row and both times, were tempted to grab a smoothie. But the hook is the breakfast sandwiches n platters here. There's always a line of about 8 ppl at any given quarter of the hour being a recognizable & affordable corner spot.

What kind of thievery is this? $7 for. Breaded chicken sandwich that has been cut in half lengthwise to make a sandwich?????? Is someone else eating the other half?

You don't know how much you appreciate a really good sandwich till you've had really subpar ones. Subway to me is very subpar. I accept Deli sandwiches from around the way but even those are hit or miss most times. Blimpie's is a NYC almost forgotten gem being that there are so little of them now but so many of subpar Subway's and other less than stellar hero sandwich spots. Only found out about this Blimpie's recently after having a discussion oddly enough on Facebook with a few others about an article about Subway. A shredded burger kind of sandwich he mentioned he got from here. I didn't get that but I got an F'N great roast beef and provolone hero from here. So good that I came back a few days ago to get the same thing lol. Well worth it and being that it's inexpensive I see myself coming here more often for other sandwiches soon.

First off for anyone thet loves Blimpies like I do this blimpie has the WRONG Bread. The bread is stale, precut and the ends are hard. I mean really hard. Hey Blimpie Owners please get the correct Blimpie bread. Thats the whole purpose of going to Blimpie. The ingredients are signature Blimpie but the Bread is channeling bird feed. Smh

Blimpies made me fall in love as a boy with cold cut sandwiches yum. Blimpies best was heaven to me the mayo, the different cuts of deli meat the cheese and my favorite that actually taught me on how to make a stand out cold sub was the red vinegar , olive oil and black pepper especially that was used to dress the lettuce tomatoes and onions oh yes and loved those banana peppers. This was in the late 70's in the upper west side of manhattan 86 st and broadway to be exact. I felt compelled to write this on a blimpies page as an ode to that first blimpies best that bedazzled my taste buds and showed me the way. Peace and Love BB.

Unprofessional, I told the cashier I want to dine in and the fool gives me a bag instead of a tray when three other customers were given a tray who ate in and when I complained this same cashier had the nerve to tell me "what's the difference? " Also, I kept calling the number on their receipt and no one picks up and all there is no answering machine. I kept calling them because I lost my sweater though maybe not there but I live no where close to this business so I want to make sure I do not come there for nothing.

This is one of the few Blimpie's around and I'm glad that I have access. This place is on my regular rotation, and I'm always happy with the friendly and quick service and cleanliness.

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll . Did not taste the hard bacon on it . It left a bad taste on my mouth. Not good for breakfast!!! Waste of money !!!

I haven't had a sub from Blimpie in YEARS, but today we stopped at this one because we were in the area and I just had to see if my recollection of them being delicious was actually correct....It was! I really wish that Subway subs tasted nearly as good as the ones from Blimpie...their ingredients are so fresh and their bread just tastes way better. The place looked clean, and it's conveniently situated near the train station. The fountain Coke was on point, too... that's a big deal.

My lovely deli staff are now my family. They make you smile as soon as you walk in I absolutely love them. At Blimpies you will be greeted as soon as you arrive and they are happy doing what they do. Why in gods name is blimpies under appreciated or atleast that's the way it seems. Subways cannot stand next to blimpies. Fortunately I've been around long enough to know what a REAL classic sandwich looks and tastes like. Give them a try n you NEVER go back to subways

Words cannot describe how much I love Blimpies. Subways can never compare. A blimpies sandwich tastes how a hero should taste. I cannot wait to get another sandwich.

There is nothing like Blimpie for great fresh sub sandwiches. Unlike their competitor, Blimpie uses premium albacore tuna, not that cheap pink stuff. This Blimpie offers many bread types. I like the poppy seed. The store is hidden on Willowby Street (off Fulton) so you must look for it, but it's worth it.

I love Blimpies. I stop at this when I was in Brooklyn heading to the studio. I am shocked that there isn't any NYC location. These use to be the best and that sandwich brought back some memories.

Ordered a meatball parmigiana combo. Bread tasted stale and everything tasted old. Even the soda tasted flat. I couldn't enjoy meal when I got home. First time there last time there.

This is my go to sub stop whenever I'm downtown in Brooklyn. Looks like the managements changed because the customer service has improved ridiculously. When I used to go to High school around there the old employees used to be perverted especially one who would never stop talking. Three years after graduating high school I stop by downtown Brooklyn and I noticed the immense change. The store is also much cleaner now. The old tables were like my grandmothers age, but the new tables and chairs are nice and made of wood. Keep up the work guys and gals.

This Blimpie is the absolute best at making a hero taste just like the one I had as a child. Brings back great memories when my mom would buy me a Blimpie for class trips. So very yummy! All the Ingredients are fresh. The restaurant is clean and so are the workers. I highly recommend this location. More Blimpies are needed. The Blimpie that was near my house closed years ago. I hope the Blimpie Corporate office decide to open more Blimpies.

This is my favorite place to buy a sandwich when I'm in this area. This location has been here for years, but the quality of food and service has remained stellar. The staff is professional and friendly, and the dining area is always clean.

I literally eat breakfast at this location DAILY. I'm obsessed with their ham, egg and cheese wraps with banana peppers! The best part about this location is definitely the guys working behind the counter: friendly, funny, efficient, and just plain old happy to be there. -1 star due to the dingy exterior- Otherwise, I love this place!

Not bad! I actually prefer Blimpie over Subway. I am so mad with Subway; Their sandwiches on the commercial never look like the sandwiches that are made for me. Anyway, my sandwich was fresh and delicious. No complaints. I think may have even been a little cheaper than Subway?

Blimpie has been one of my favorite fast food places since I was a child. I like the tuna salad hero, and while Subway's tuna is good Blimpie's is way better as they use solid white albacore in their tuna salad,..not yellowfin like Subway. I prefer solid white albacore tuna.

Meh, subpar. Haven't had Blimpie since I was a kid because the location near me went out of business. I suppose I'm not surprised... I wasn't missing much over the years. I'm sticking to Subway if I want a fast food sandwich.

The sandwich is overpriced for poor quality. $8 for a 12 inch hero. I looked on the receipt, it said customized item?? I asked why is a turkey & cheese hero, a customized item?? They couldn't answer me.

Very friendly staff no rush. The place is very nice and clean. I had a turkey sub on poppy seed bread toasted the sandwich was yummy.

Why would anyone go to Subway when there is a Blimpies around. The sandwiches are much better then Subway. For the same price of Subway you get a better quality sandwich at Blimpies. When in downtown Brooklyn do not go to Subway or Shake Shack or Burger King for lunch. Blimpies is a must and this is one of the last Blimpies in NYC.

i went to blimpie twice. the first time i went there, the service was good. the food was mediocre. the second time i went there was today. i was upset after i went there. i am an asian guy. here is how my visit to blimpie went: i went to the server/food attendant who was at the end of the counter (the attendant who was furthest from the door). he was hispanic. i told him i wanted a meatball parmigiana sandwich. i was thinking about what type of bread i wanted. hispanic: what do you want, chino? me: my name's not chino hispanic: sorry, sorry, sorry. what do you want? me: i'm good (walking away towards the door). don't be calling any asians "chino." "chino" means "chinese person" in spanish. that motherfucker was saying racist shit to me in spanish, and he thought he was being so smart. he thought i wouldn't understand, because i'm asian. fuck this place. i told my coworker, who was actually going to go to blimpie for lunch. he decided to go to subway instead, because of what happened to me today. management should fire that motherfucker.

I haven't had Blimpie in ages. I stopped by and got a veggie sub. The good thing is this don't just offer lettuce, tomatoes and onions. They actually have green peppers, hot peppers, sweet peppers and cucumbers. YUMTASTIC

I received stale bread from here and if the bread is stale there goes your appetite. I called in made a complaint to the manager. Boy was I a bitch I sure have him a piece of my mind.Lol but he kept his composure and was professional about it so let's see what happens tomorrow -____- with this free sandwich I'm suppose to be getting. Small, dingey establishment in downtown Brooklyn. The tables are usually occupied by students and others who buy a token item and consume food purchased elsewhere so you may not get seating. Nothing spectacular about the food. The fact that they charge for extras such as pickles sends me straight to Subway.
