I’ve been coming to this spot since its Double Roasters days over ten years ago! And it’s still one of Marrickville’s most consistent cafes. The coffee remains absolutely on point. My go-to is the long black, which they serve with a side of sparkling water. A small, but classy touch that really cleanses the palate between sips.
For lunch, I went simple with bacon and eggs and as always, it hit the spot. Their menu has plenty of more indulgent options too, like the croque monsieur which I’ve had before and would happily recommend if you’re after something heartier.
The space itself has that signature Marrickville warehouse conversion charm: light, open, and buzzing with a trendy cafe feel. On a sunny day though, it’s hard to resist sitting outside. The fresh air and relaxed atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a slow and easy brunch.
Wicks Park Cafe is still one of the Inner West’s best long-standing cafes. Great coffee, honest food, and a vibe that never goes out of style.
