"Commune with the Sun There has been an explosion of beach clubs in Bali recently, and Komune was one of the first. About 15 minutes east of Sanur, it's in a spot that was only known to surfers until it arrived, attracting families, people from Ubud in need of some coastal breezes, and people passing on their way to or from further out on the east coast. They do have bungalows to stay in which are really nice, but Komune's biggest selling point is that it's a great place to pass a Sunday, with the massive mattresses, nice big pool, restaurant with tasty food and drinks, and a stunning view out to sea. The beach is black sand so it can be a bit hot but it's stunning. They also do evening surf and DJ sessions that are super laid-back and friendly."

This is the 7th visit to Kommune Bali, we absolute love it here. Perfect resort, waves and food combo! Place is so relaxing and has everything to offer for the whole family. We will continue to return for our yearly holiday as the staff make it so easy. Shout out to Agung and Evy and TuAgung at the restaurant making sure everything was perfect from our morning coffees to meals everyday. Hotel Komune is a fantastic place. We stayed there for a week and got married this November. This place has everything if you are looking for a beautiful place near the ocean, rest & relax or active holiday and good food. Everything was perfect on our wedding day. We would like to thank Dewa, Purwanti and Kylie and the whole wedding team for helping us to make our day unforgettable. Our day was magical not only because of the location but also because all the staff was super helpful, kind and their attention to detail went above and beyond . We can't recommend it highly enough. We visited Komune Beach Club & Resort twice because it was simply too good not to return. The beachfront view is breathtaking, with waves and surfers right in front of you — the perfect place to relax. The food was delicious on both visits, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere is laid-back yet stylish, making it an ideal spot for lunch, sunset, or just enjoying the ocean breeze. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food, amazing views, and a peaceful escape by the sea.

Fantastic place to stay! The rooms and toiletries were top notch. Food high quality and beautiful presentation. Fantastic gym and yoga shalas. Black sand beaches with waves perfect for surfers. Spa reasonably priced and very skills therapists. The grounds absolutely beautiful. Hospitality desk very helpful to help arrange driver/transportation/ excursion arrangements.

Komune is so special to us, as we got married here September 2025. This place is pure bliss, our favourite spot in Bali! The location is stunning, the accomodation is beautiful and the staff are so kind and attentive. For the wedding everything was perfect. Kylie, Dewa, Anta and the rest of the wedding team went above and beyond for us. The attention to detail ensured the wedding day and events before and after went so smoothly and were so much fun. Everything was perfect - from the morning yoga, the incredible food and the fabulous dance floor (accompanied by some epic fireworks). Could not recommend Komune highly enough, and cannot wait to come back. Thanks so much to all the staff for making it so special!

Dewa, Anta, Kylie and the rest of the wedding team at hotel Komune made our wedding a truely incredible experience. We were treated like absolute royalty and everything that we could have thought about was already done before we could ask. They worked so well as a team to make everything come together perfectly. The Nannie’s who helped with the children were so lovely and kind and did a great job also. The location is spectacular anfdthe set up was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The food was also delicious and there was so much of it! Truely grateful we chose this team and location for our wedding.

We’ve stayed at Komune Resort many times and can’t recommend it highly enough! The staff are absolutely amazing – always helpful, super friendly, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The on-site restaurant serves fantastic food with a wide variety of delicious options to suit everyone. A local band plays a couple of nights a week, creating a great atmosphere. Agus, the manager, is a legend – he often joins in singing with the band, which makes the night even more fun and memorable! If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxed holiday spot with great food, awesome vibes, and outstanding service, Komune is the place to be. Tony & Sara
