I can’t rate this wonderful place highly enough. I came in here as a solo traveller travelling for work and got a seat at the bar. I decided to do the Big red wine flight with matching cheeses, and then at the end got an amazing Scottish cheese to finish. The wine and cheese were absolutely wonderful and the younger guy behind the bar making the charcuterie boards was so lovely and friendly. Highly recommend if you are visiting Edinburgh- I will be coming back! 😀💛

If you love wine and you're in Edinburgh, this is the place to go. Unbelievable selection of wines, incredibly knowledgeable (and down to earth) staff, fantastic chilled out atmosphere. It's not cheap but it's good value for the quality of the wines and the time the staff spend with you to make sure you order the right wine for you.

Came here with my family and had an incredible time – drinking wine and enjoying delicious cheese and snacks. We even enjoyed a game of chess while relaxing. Thank you!

First class evening at Smith and Gertrude last night. Great collaboration between Smith & Gertrude, Aemilia and Acetaia San Giacomo. Brilliant food, wine and balsamic.

We were walking by the beach and we stopped for a wine. It was one of the most amazing findings on our holidays. Friendly staff, amazing service and excellence of knowledge and wine variety. Loved the place definitely recommend.

My local. They really know their stuff. The changing menu for wine by the glass is varied and has opened my eyes and palette to wines I hadn't tried before. Music is also played just at the perfect level so you can relax across from someone on the sofas and actually hear what they say, which is so often overlooked in other bars. Very lucky to have a place like this in porty

Relaxed local wine bar with an interesting wine selection. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and the food very tasty!
