We had such an incredible time at Forged Axe Throwing in Whistler! None of us had ever tried axe throwing before, but our instructor, Brandon, made the experience so much fun while also teaching us proper technique. He was patient, encouraging, and kept the energy high, which made the whole session both educational and exciting. Even though my mom and I weren’t naturals, we still managed to land some solid shots and score points; which felt amazing! Meanwhile, my fiancé and dad were having a blast trying out the double axe throws, trick shots, and even the fireman axe. Brandon kept things entertaining for all of us, no matter our skill level. The atmosphere at Forged Axe Throwing is so welcoming and chill. You can tell that Brett has built a really awesome business that makes everyone feel comfortable and excited to be there. And of course, we can’t forget Bendito the dog, who completely stole the show; such a sweet pup and the perfect bonus to an already awesome outing. We came up from Portland, Oregon, and all agreed we’d happily make a weekend trip just to come back here again. If you’re visiting Whistler, I’d 100% recommend stopping by Forged Axe Throwing. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Such an awesome and fun experience! My girlfriend and I had the best time at Forged Axe Throwing. Erin and Brandon were incredible hosts, super friendly, patient, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the start. The place has a really cool layout and great music, which made the whole vibe even better. We had tons of laughs and left with some new skills (sort of!). Highly recommend this for couples or groups, it’s one of the most fun activities in Whistler. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
I’ve been axe throwing quite a few times in BC and this place exceeded expectations because Mikey was a phenomenal axe facilitator. He checked in with us multiple times, helped us with technique and also held a championship round for us! He gave us incentives to get on the wall of fame and kept us laughing the whole night. He truly made it memorable. Highly recommend checking this place out next time you’re in Whistler.

What a wonderful place! All credit goes to Mikey who looked after us so so well and made this an even better experience for us! Thank you so much for making our birthday boys day even more fun!!! Ps. The wig really suits you!

We went here as part of a bachelor party weekend and it was fantastic! There was a group of 10 of us that fit very well in a 4 lane area and had it to ourselves with the bar area apart of it. The service was excellent and very fun. The 8 person shot ski was also a big hit. We loved all the games that our host put on for us. I highly recommend this place.

Google
Had such a fun time! We played axe games, got to learn some trick shots, work on our technique. Great music, great drinks, and the staff were so engaging, especially Joe and River A. (Why are there so many staff members named River?). Couldn’t have asked for a better indoor activity in Whistler.

Google
The mountain was closed one day and this was a short drive from the village. A great was to spend a couple of hours. We were first timers, but the instructor was great. Our teen sons had a great time, as did we all. Different ‘games’ to play, trying different throws, and getting on the wall of fame. It was warm inside on a chilly day and a bar set-up if you wanted to partake. A good distraction that we enjoyed.

Yelp
Absolutely awesome experience. REAL axe throwing, REAL wood, REALly fun! Went on our way out of town on 1/23/25 and had a blast. It's a must do for an evening out after a day in the slopes or a date night. 10/10.

Yelp
Wonderful we had so much fun loved learning from Brett the owner. The places is very clean. Run so well and and creatively crafted place with so much character. A great shoulder workout too!

Yelp
We had a blast and our teacher was super fun. Our only complaint is that we had a group of four and were paired with a couple, which meant each of us ended up throwing literally half of the time per person as the other two. We paid twice as much for the same amount of total time. I would think there is a more equitable way to work out the throwing.

Yelp
We had a great time today! Riley was a great and fun teacher! Excellent skills too! Very patient and encouraging! We highly recommend Forged Axe Throwing! Your friends, the Jackaxes

Sandy S.

Yelp
We had a great time axe throwing, just my husband and me. Sarah met us when we walked in, showed us around, gave us lessons in throwing. She is lovely and fun and a very good teacher. We learned to throw 2 handed, one handed, double axes and a larger, heavier axe. Highly recommend this business.

Yelp
Kitt, our instructor, was brilliant. More fun than skiing! The blackjack game was the most fun I've had for a long time. Seriously, do this, and don't hesitate. This actually provides more stress relief than the spa!

Yelp
Definitely a unique experience, and a must! I had the opportunity to visit Forged Axe Throwing as the awesome (now wed) couple rented out the entire venue for their guests who made it out to Canada for their destination wedding. Thus, if anything, I write this review as someone who hung out at Forged Axe Throwing when it was closed to the general public for a private event. The employees of Forged Axe Throwing provided us step-by-step instructions and made everyone feel safe and comfortable, even though we couldn't quite make it onto the board the first couple of times. They gave great tips for technique and encouraged competition amongst the wedding party. LOVED their energy. With their help, I made a couple of bullseyes! Definitely fed my confidence. For a private event, it seemed the wedding party was able to bring in their own food (we had pizza, chips and dip, veggie platters), soda, and water. I'd love to visit again when I return. FYI: (1) you must sign waivers, I mean you are participating in a somewhat risky activity; (2) no "adult" beverages are sold here --- though after a night with them, I COMPLETELY understand why. (I imagine sharp edges and alcohol don't quite mix.) There is a bar right next door, if you are desperate.

Yelp
We tried our hands at ax throwing with Forged Axe and had a really great time. Our host Liz was a wonderful guide for safety and several throwing techniques. She led us through a few games and offered us helpful pointers to throw better. We took use of the full bar they offer. I'm grateful to have this unique and fun experience during our trip to Whistler that felt extremely personal with a designated host. Be prepared for a slight workout on that arm! We participated as a couple and it was a fun date idea with friendly competition. Our vaccine cards were checked at entry and we kept our masks on except when drinking and for photos at the end, and so we felt very safe from COVID! Beautiful space, too!

Yelp
We had a great time. Such a unique experience. The staff made it extremely fun. We learned trick shots, two hand, two axe & long axe throwing. Fun competitions to test your skills. Great time!!

Yelp
We booked an hour of axe-throwing for a group of our friends and family who joined us from across the UK and US for our weekend wedding in BC. We arrived a little late, but Krista and Jasmine moved swiftly to get all 25+ of us checked in, signed up and trained on throwing. They were so kind and patient with our group, which had couples of various ages. They were such a hoot with their training intros but absolute bad asses in their throwing skillz. Like, goals. We were so grateful to spend the evening with these two, who also played DJ for us all night. Our crew at the best time, and we can't wait to return. Don't think twice, just book it. And double the time.

Yelp
We had so much fun at Forged Axe Throwing!! It was our first time axe throwing, and Krista, Rich, and Jono, were so friendly and helpful; they made our limited time there most excellent. If we have more time this trip, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Such an awesome experience! My husband and I decided to try out ax throwing and could not have had a better evening! Browny was a great instructor who showed us how to throw but also taught us some games and trick shots. I'd recommend this to anyone who wanted something else to do here in Whistler!

Yelp
FUN FOR ALL AGES. Awesome group of people running the show here. They take great pride in their venue and events, I hope they stay in Whistler for a long time to come. The local leagues sound like a blast if I were in town year-round I would definitely sign up for one of those as well.

Yelp
Had never been axe throwing before. Went with some friends during May long weekend and it was a blast. Staff was friendly and was cool with our group's banter. They made sure our experience was fun and enjoyable all around. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
Super fun time at Forged during our stay in Whistler this December! Mack took care of us the whole time helping my family of 5 first-time lumberjacks with Olympic-level technique instruction (oh, its not an Olympic sport (yet)?). Spent and hour there that flew buy. All of us said afterward that it exceeded everyones expectations. thanks Forged!

Yelp
This was an awesome experience. A must if you are in Whistler. They were very helpful and made it a fun time. We will come back again. It definitely made me want to make a spot to throw axes at my own home. Thank you for a great time.

Yelp
If you are in the Whistler area it is definitely worth your while to visit Forged! The staff is so friendly, especially Preston, who was our trainer for the day. He was a great teacher and definitely helped the group have a fun time. I would definitely go back any time I'm in the area. It's fun, competitive, and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
My lady and I stopped in here yesterday after getting back from a hike to the train wreck. Being that it was a Wednesday afternoon in the off season, we were the only two visitors in the place. We had a great time with our instructor and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. Neither one of us had thrown axes before and within minutes we were getting the hang of it and then it was on to playing some fun games and trick shots. For the price (which we didn't find expensive), we each got a lane to throw axes (both small and large, and two at a time) for an hour. You can also buy soda and water there.

Yelp
This experience is a must! We went into the experience very excited but not sure what to expect. We had gone axe throwing before but nothing like this! The website was very useful in making our reservation and advising early arrival which communicated to a fun filled and safe experience. B was very helpful and fun as she led us through the steps to becoming axe throwers! She brought out the best in our competitiveness and we were blown away by how much fun we had. This is a great place to play! We had the best time!

Yelp
We jumped online on our final day during our 'kidsfreeweekend' up in Whistler and found Forged Axe Throwing and noticed it was on our way back down to Vancouver so quickly booked as something new and fun sounding. We rocked up ~20mins later and had a blast for the next hour. I'm horrible with names (so forgive me Forged if you're reading this) but the burly scottish guy was the BEST host/instructor and we had a lot of fun competing against the other couple that happened to be there. We would wholeheartedly recommend this as a fantastic and unique destination and something to break up some of your other more 'normal' activities up in Whistler..we'll be back!!

Yelp
Definitely a must when you're in Whistler! Matt, our instructor, was amazingly patient with us as we learned the ropes of axe throwing and helped us to have fun along the way. He celebrated our wins and kept the time moving with helping us to learn new ways to throw axes. The music was bumping, people were laughing and having fun and, afterwards, you can walk next door to a brewery to capitalize on an excellent afternoon well spent! If/when we travel back to Whistler, we'll definitely stop by Forged Axe Throwing again!
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
We loved this place! It was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Rich was an amazing coach, and Toots made sure we never got out of line and threw her toy for her a few times too :) We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Forged Axe Throwing is literally the best! If you've ever wanted to go chuck some axes and have a time, this is the place for you. There's nothing that makes you feel more Canadian. It has really cool, rustic Decore and the staff is super helpful. If you've never done it before, they will guide you through the whole process. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Whistler visiting.

Danielle F.

Yelp
This place was SO much fun. I came with a group of four and had two lanes and plenty of time and opportunities to throw the axe. Our instructor Graham was really fun and taught us all the techniques we needed to leave feeling accomplished. He also had us playing some games and it was a really fun competition. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Whistler!
