BOOK AND SONS

BOOK AND SONS is a unique secondhand bookstore specializing in foreign-language books on design, photography, and visual culture. Part of the first floor and the entire second floor are also used as exhibition spaces, often hosting small photo or design-related gallery shows, which adds another layer to the visit. We spent some time flipping through a few interesting titles and enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the space. There’s also a to-go coffee window, making it easy to grab a drink before continuing your walk around the neighborhood.

Great neighborhood, great bookshop — focused mainly on design and photography and art monographs. Small gallery in the back with rotating design shows. Lovely staff. A secret photo studio upstairs that can be rented out for photo shoots.

Best place to find photography books out of the mainstream. Super friendly staff, great taste👌🏻 (also very good coffee!)

Standard sort of "contemporary" design that doesn't breach boundaries. That aside, it has an excellent selection of photobooks.

What a vibe!! Love the selection of picture books here. I think it’s really well curated, they had some great books that I love on Dieter Rams and Saul Lieter. The back has a small gallery which is nice to check out. Staff is super helpful too.

This bookstore has a lot of typography and typeface design books. If I have the chance, I must visit again. By the way, you can use Google Lens to quickly find out if there are cheaper second-hand books on Amazon. After all, these design books are really expensive! !

Was there right before it opened and waiting to get some coffee as well with my toddler. We were taking some photos in front only to be shooed away from one of the staff when they came to open the store. We were there for less than 5mins and were very quiet and not disruptive for the neighborhood at all. You can’t tell someone to not take photos on a public street. The sheer snobbiness of this store is just uncalled for and will never visit again.
