Seen Kim Sing raved about for its cheap, affordable chicken steak at $12.50. I ordered the chicken steak with salad and, overall, it was very average.
The coating was quite thick while the chicken itself was very thin, so each bite felt like I was mostly eating batter. I understand it is $12.50, but when you are coming here purely for a value, cheap meal, it does make you question whether it is actually good value when the quality of the produce reflects the price.
That being said, the rice was cooked well. The vegetables were a bit undercooked, but they were still carried by the sauces overall.
I can see the appeal and why people like it, especially if you do not eat Chinese food often. But for me, when comparing value-style pricing versus the quality you get, I would rather not put just random ingredients.
