Sarabeth's

Google
I visited Sarabeth’s in this location this weekend. The food was great, one of us got the burger which was really good and I got the fillet Mignon which was on a special dinner offer, i could confidently say it was one of the best meat plates i’ve tried in Nyc. We also got the baby ‘something’ bead salad which was nice. The waiters were really fun and polite.

My experience at Sarabeth’s Central Park South was excellent from start to finish. The location is unbeatable — right across from Central Park — giving you that classic New York atmosphere while you enjoy your meal. We ordered a variety of dishes: steak, salmon, pasta, and chicken fingers. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The salmon was fresh and well-seasoned with a delicate texture. The pasta was rich and satisfying, with a sauce that tasted homemade. Even the chicken fingers — a simple dish — were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, showing that the kitchen puts care into every plate. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with soft lighting that created a warm and intimate feel. Service was excellent — the staff were attentive without being intrusive, always making sure everything was perfect. In my opinion, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the location, and the service. Whether you’re visiting New York or live here, Sarabeth’s Central Park South is a must-visit for a delicious meal with a beautiful view.

I loved this place we had breakfast there. portion was good and their latte is one of the best I have ever had but it is pricey and their service was perfect and staff were so friendly. They serve fast but they have a very long waiting until you get a table. Location is so good it just right across of central park.

Google
We had a great brunch (prix fixe lunch) at Sarabeth’s. Very tasty eggs and French toast, and a delightful crostata. They were baby friendly too, with a nice high chair and reasonably priced kids menu!

Google
Classic NYC breakfast spot with big portions and great quality — but pricey. We came here for breakfast and really enjoyed the food — everything was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. It’s definitely on the expensive side: breakfast for two adults and a child came out to around $150. There is a kids’ menu, but the staff didn’t mention it initially. We had to ask twice — only then did they provide it, which felt like an unnecessary effort for a family-friendly place. Still, a lovely spot for a classic New York breakfast near Central Park — just be ready to pay for the experience.

Google
A wonderful place! My wife and I were delighted with our breakfast. The salmon Eggs Benedict, French toast, and coffee—especially the cappuccino—were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this spot. It’s family-friendly, has a lovely atmosphere right by Central Park, and the service is fast.

Google
We had a brilliant breakfast here at Sarabeth’s, the buttermilk Pancakes were amazing with a side of delicious bacon and the orange juice was one of the best we’ve had, we will definitely be back and thank you for a great service

Google
If you like the super lush atmosphere of the upper east side of manhattan, this is the place for you. Great service, good and super expensive food. We had the granola which was a small portion (they call it a starter) ,pancakes and normal eggs breakfast.

Yelp
This restaurant is located across from Central Park. While the view isn't particularly expansive due to its lower elevation, outdoor seating offers the opportunity to enjoy your meal while watching horse-drawn carriages pass by. We arrived around 10:30 AM without a reservation but were quickly seated without waiting. The breakfast menu also includes lunch. I asked if we could order lunch now, and they agreed, but when the kitchen returned, they said the grill was unavailable. So we ordered a tomato soup, an avocado toast, and two coffees. I think my choice was excellent. The portions were just right, and the food was delicious. The tomato soup, in particular, piqued my curiosity about its preparation. I highly recommend both dishes. The avocado toast, made with perfectly toasted oatmeal topped with avocado, was absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
Johanna was attentive and prompt with everything. She handled all requests with a smile and relaxed ease. The food was incredible top to bottom. Although the pancakes are dangerously addictive. We had mimosas for a perfect accent to a meal. It was Saturday morning, so very busy. Great place but it felt a bit crowded. For the prices, it would have been nice to have a bit more space. Definitely make a reservation. Waiting for a table can take for ever. The only real down side, I made reservations with a specific note about having an child with us and we would need special accommodations for a pickup eater. The host asked me if we had any children. Then the host whi sat us asked if we needed a children's menu, but only after he noticed we had child. For a place that asks so much information for the reservation to make the visit special, no one seemed to care that I took the time to provide that information. A bit of care at the beginning of our visit would have gotten 5 stars. But I just couldn't give 5 for missing such an easy detail.

Yelp
Sarabeth's was easy to find and exceeded all expectations! The food was fantastic, and the service was fast and friendly. They even have a charming flower wall that makes for the perfect photo op. I ordered Sarabeth's Pink Lemonade mocktail and added a splash of Tito's--just the right balance of sweetness and refreshment. For my meal, I went with the crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich served with fries. The jalapeño marmalade took it to the next level--absolutely incredible! Honestly, this might be one of the top three chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Next time I'm in New York, a return trip to Sarabeth's is a must!

Yelp
This place was the perfect patio brunch spot right next to Central Park. We were welcomed and sat within 10minutes. The service was top notch, the food was delicious, and the view was the best part. You're on the perfect street for people watching.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict. The sauce is really creamy. The poached eggs were delicious. This meal inspired me to learn how to make eggs Benedict myself. I didn't come close to the flavor. Kind of hard to flag down service to get the bill and pay.

Yelp
It is our first time here, we stumble upon this beautiful establishment one night this past weekend with my family for dinner. We started with deviled eggs and meatballs. Followed by the main course chicken pot pie and blackened risotto. The kids got chicken fingers and fries however the photo never happened because they were so hungry and it was delicious. The service was up to far, considering we had 2 kids in tow. Our waitress/waiter was nice but they kept switching with us.
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
The food is disgusting the most dirtiest restaurant in nyc. None of the options on the menu are worth anybody time.
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't had Sarabeth's in a hot minute. It was THEEEE brunch spot circa 2012-2014 and I haven't been since then... Nothing has changed. If you want an upscale brunch/lunch with dainty, feminine vibes, this is your spot. It's very expensive for what you get but the food is good. I've had better brunches, I've had way worse. It's good, and the ambience really adds to the experience. I had the apple cinnamon granola and the portion of yogurt it came with was a bit small. The popovers were baked fresh and I liked the preserves they came with.

Yelp
Had brunch here with a work colleague visiting on a Sunday afternoon and absolutely loved the atmosphere. Such a cute and classy place to dine, they have lots of seating inside as well as outside when the weather is nice. And central park is right outside. My work colleague had to make reservation in advance. Very much loved their buttermilk pancakes and it was so yummy. Sarabeth is known for their breakfast. And to top it off, I had some delicious sorbets that were so delicious.

Fred N.

Yelp
Breakfast Good food but got a lazy waiter. No coffee for 15 minutes on a not too busy morning. Seemed like he was doing us a favor and then delivered wrong check at double the price. A shame.

Gracelyn K.

Yelp
Overall I'd recommend Sarabeth's, especially if you're looking for an easy to locate brunch spot on a visit to NYC. Sarabeth's still feels like a spot that fits the fun brunch vibe, but from the mid 2000s. The service was pretty good, but not excellent (we had caught them during a large rush which may have accounted for it). I will say the salmon eggs Benedict was great! (I'm a sucker for a quality one).
google avatar

Misty D.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. I would say this is a good brunch spot, conveniently located next to Central Park. The portion sizes were big. My favorite dish was the lobster roll. It's going to be pretty expensive granted that it's right in the city and by Central Park. However it's not terribly devastating to your wallet. I would make reservations here beforehand as it can get very crowded . Good for large groups too.
google avatar

Katelyn W.

Yelp
We were up earlier than planned so we headed to Sarabeth's right after they opened without a reservation and were able to get a table! I had never been so I wanted the traditional NYC experience. The place was really cute, bright and clean. I ordered a mimosa and the quiche with a side of bacon. I was surprised with the amount of bacon that I got. You can tell it was cooked previously but it was still warm and well cooked. The quiche was delicious. The ham and leeks were flavorful, the egg mixture was creamy and crust was buttery. I just wished the crust was a little less soggy. Service was super quick and you could tell they were trying to rush us through to get as many people in as possible. Overall I'm glad we went but not sure if we'll go back next time we're in NYC.

Yelp
Stopped here for brunch on a Sunday morning, which was convenientl located next to the Central Park Ritz where we were staying. We made a reservation ahead of time, although our train was running late from CT, but they were nice enough to hold our reservation until we arrived. It was a good thing we had a reservation because they were quite busy and we would have been waiting awhile, but we were seated right away. First up- coffee always! I ordered an iced latte while I took a look at their extensive breakfast and lunch menu. I was in a breakfast mood so went with the garden omelette. My daughter followed in my lead ordering 2 poached eggs, toast and bacon. My son wasn't feeling breakfast so ordered the turkey club. He liked it, but was probably the least satisfied of the 3 of us so I'd say breakfast is the way to go. The service was fine. The food came out pretty fast, but took awhile to find our waiter to pay. Overall, a solid experience and conveniently located near our hotel. We left full and ready to take on a full day in Manhattan!

Yelp
Kind of empty restaurant We went for a birthday dinner and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired No candles or table clothes in tables even tho prices for entrees are close to $40 Food is ok I had the salmon with they said came with eggplant caponata but it was just eggplant in tomato sauce with some spinach which was not sautéed It was ok but there are many better restaurants Sara Beth's is best for brunch Don't go for dinner
google avatar

Caitlyn A.

Yelp
Always a good breakfast! Usually stay at the Park Lane next door and eat here at least once each trip. Highly recommend! I love the spinach and goat cheese omelette and the eggs Benedict. Pancakes are good but nothing too special, still hit the spot though.
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
I dined here for both breakfast and dinner while in NY. Sarabeth is a very comforting and reliable meal. I felt like I was eating a nice home cooked meal inside a fancy restaurant. For dinner, the chicken pot pie was a highlight! It was so delicious, flaky and warm. I also did love the beef and goat cheese salad. It was beautiful plated and tasted full of flavors. I would skip the chimichuri steak as it was quite dry. For breakfast the lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious and the rest of the meal felt home cooked. Overall if you're looking for a simple delicious meal, I'd stop here!

Yelp
Nice brunch just in front of Central Park. It is a bit pricy but the portions are very generous ! The decoration inside is nice The menu offers classic brunch meals. I ordered the garden omelette with a tea and a fresh orange juice. It was good but really fulfilling ! I could not finish my place I assume the place is crowded during weekends, therefore, I recommend to go during weekdays if possible
google avatar

Zachary L.

Yelp
We had a reservation for the end of restaurant week so we avoided the line. However, despite the website saying they did restaurant week menus on the weekend, we were never given the option. Strike one. Strike two was the service: we felt rushed the whole meal (unsurprising given the growing line outside): but within 2 minutes of sitting down our waiter came over and brusquely wanted to know what we wanted to eat. Strike three was the price - $30 for eggs is a bit rich, even for NYC. Gluten free options were severely limited as well: there were no options for pastries or other items to be subbed out or replaced with a gluten-free option. My partner was relegated to replacing her potatoes (cross-contaminated, so not gluten free) with a salad: and had to talk the waiter out of upcharging her for the pleasure.

Yelp
I've been eating at this location for years, 20 years since it opened, and I've had the lemon ricotta pancakes so many times but yesterday they were the best they've ever been. Ahhhmazing!!! So light and fluffy. If you haven't had lemon ricotta pancakes or if you like them either way you need to go here!!! Sarabeth's on 59th Street!!! SO good!!! The service and location is amazing also!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Food is ample and well prepared. Prices are high and wait both to be seated and to get your food is long, but somehow it is still a favorite. Don't know why they took oatmeal off the menu.
google avatar

Katelyn W.

Yelp
This was a nice spot for brunch! Maybe better ambiance for an older crowd but I still enjoyed it with my friend! I got an omelette and she got the french toast which looked way better imo. I didn't really understand the side salad or muffin option as a side -- I picked a pumpkin one but would opt for the toast instead for future reference.

Yelp
Myself and 10 other women visited Sarabeth's on November 1st for brunch. The food was good and the table services was fine. However, my bad experience occurred while I was standing at the bar waiting for our table. When i walked up to the bar, i placed my purse and shopping bag on the chair in front of me. I did not realize that directly in front of me on the bar was a credit card and receipts, which was there waiting for whoever the card belonged to for signature. The owner of the card was stand next to me. Immediately, the bar tender grabs the card and receipt and YELLS out loud, you have to watch your card, and he repeated very loudly. So much so, i jumped, grabbed my things, turned to the man next to me and said, "i promise you i want not going to take your card". I was very embarrassed that someone would think i am a thief. Interesting, the owner of the card, did not flinch. He did not seem bothered by my standing very close to him. I am a woman of color and i was insulted by the bartender. He prejudged me. That is insulting. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. I must tell you that i mentioned this to a friend and they have not had pleasant experiences at this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Skip it!! Gross! I got the meatballs, ok. They served me FROZEN CHICKEN THAT WAS STILL FROZEN!! And the. Charged me FULL PRICE even when I told them. I mean that's insane right?!?! And they ask if you want sparkling or still and charge 10$ for either without even giving an option for tap. This place is useless and I'd NEVER come again. After all that they tried to charge me full price. WTF?!?!?!

Yelp
Love the location! Across the street from Central Park! The food was good. We had great seating by the window to enjoy the busy sidewalks. There was a wait over 20 mins which caused us not to be able to eat brunch. However, a few of the brunch items are still offered all day. The older hostess was very nice. However, the waiter and the server who brought out the plates were not very friendly. Once the food was ordered and brought out, we didn't get checked on until we got the attention of the server for the check. We felt as if we were bothering the servers to sit in his section. Granted it's the holiday season and it's busy, a little holiday cheer would of been great to add. Especially considering the pricing. We ordered cocktails too. With the exception of the older female host, the staff all seemed annoyed and not very friendly which is as unfortunate. My stars are based on the food. Otherwise, the remainder of the experience I would of rated it lower.
google avatar

Estelle L.

Yelp
What can I say!!! I'm an overwhelmed with the quality of the food and service. There have only been a few places I have weaned to review. This one stands out recently!!!! What an amazing place to have a wedding reception or organized function. Five stars!!!! Kudos to the staff and restaurant. Thank you for the great experience!!!!
google avatar

Rusty R.

Yelp
Good food, attentive wait staff, but a bit overpriced. The bacon was superb. Muffins very good. Four flowers juice is really a thick nectar that needs to be combined with water if you aren't getting it in a cocktail. Would return for a special brunch, but can't justify the price for a standard brunch out.
google avatar

Jennie C.

Yelp
disgustingly overcrowded and overpriced when i came which was on saturday! never again ahaha. when i asked the waiter for recommendations, he proceeded to name all the lost expensive things on the menu like the lobster ravioli. while i understand getting ur bag and can respect that, it seemed a bit fishy to me and needless to say a bit rude as well. the service was also not the friendliest. it felt like he was trying to rush us out of our seats asap to sit the next party. i know the line is out the door but sometimes you just want to enjoy a weekend brunch on your own time??? they also sat us in the outdoor dining area which had some nice lighting but was right next to all the passerby's who were entering, exiting, and waiting to be sat. kind of unpleasant. the tables were also very close together. the bathroom line was astronomical. i ended up going nearby outside to the girls room there. the food was pretty good but not worth the experience; the fiscal price and mental exhaustion.
google avatar

Momoka T.

Yelp
4.5 / 5.0 Sarabeth's on 59th St. There are both indoor and terrace seating, Atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing morning or lunch. The French toast is hearty and goes well with maple syrup. The service was great, they took care of everything! Strollers can be checked in at the reception, They have high chairs so you can enjoy it with your kids! This is one of those places that I would love to take my friends when they come to New York City. What I ordered was: ・Fat & Fluffy French Toast ・Iced latte
google avatar

Elyse S.

Yelp
I did not take pictures...sorry... We went with a group dinner for around 40 people. I had the salmon entree and I asked for medium rare. It was well done. They gave me another piece which was a tad less well done but way too well done for me. The salad appetizer had way too much lemon and was also inedible to me. I ate downtown at a Sarabeths last spring and it was much better. Sometimes group dinners get overcooked. I'll keep that in mind and try it another time as a twosome. Service was impeccable.

Ruby P.

Yelp
I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here again. The food was good, not great. The service was good, not great. The details were good, not great. The thing is, there are a LOT of great restaurants in New York. Why would you spend your hard earned ducats on a place that is just good? We went to my favorite photographer's installation at the Armory and decided to go to dinner nearby, choosing Sarabeth's based upon other folks reviews. It's my birthday, so we made the reservation and let them know about that + a few allergies we all have- stuff that's easy to work around. When we arrived, they did have our table ready. So far so good. We waited and waited and waited. Not so good. We finally flagged someone down and ordered. No mention of the birthday or the allergies from the staff + when we asked about specials or the prix fixe, we seemed to confuse the waiter. They got flustered and started pointing at side dishes. We asked again and they explained there were no other specials other than restaurant week prix fixe. Ok. We ordered. The drinks forEVER to come out, but our starters did arrive shortly after. We had the East Coast oysters- the oysters were fine, but the mignonette was just vinegar and nuttin' else. Bleh. The melon-tomato gazpacho was better- there were some bright summery peppers in it, so that was good. Our main courses came out in a timely manner- but come on. Steak frites were BORING. There was no pepper/garlic/flavor on the steaks themselves. Really nothing. The frites were pretty good, I'll give them that. And the grilled shrimp and polenta was tasty. But again, nothing wowed us. Nothing said 'oh yes come back here again.' We ordered dessert and coffee. No mention of the allergies or birthday. We paid and left. Meh.
google avatar

Karina A.

Yelp
I got the miso salmon and it was really juicy and flavorful. I love the miso sauce however $40 for this was a lot of money. I don't think it was worth it due to the portion size. Only reading this four out of five because the price was really expensive for the amount of quantity that I have received. Otherwise, the staff was super nice and it was cute inside. However, I also did have truffle fries, which were amazing and definitely would've ordered that again
google avatar

Andres F.

Yelp
Food was great service was good for the location. Definitely is a good spot if you're planning to be in Central Park area .. Ambience is calm ..
google avatar

Vanasha D.

Yelp
As an avid customer at Sarabeths, Central Park is my favorite, if you have visit any other the space is a bit smaller than the others but the food and the service is consistent overall. Visited to brunch for my sister birthday and if was a good time, we had the pancakes, French toast, apple sausages, eggs, coffee and cheese cake for dessert. The portions are pretty large so I always leave with a take out bag (lol) this restaurant has been a constant in my life and they've never disappointed me. I suggest when visiting this location to make reservations because it gets really busy.
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here while staying in the city. The portion was generous, but the "side salad" was a few pieces or limp greens. The eggs with salmon and cream cheese were delicious, as was the popover. Because it was takeout I can't comment on the staff or service, but the space itself was lovely
google avatar

Aya E.

Yelp
Ordered: Smoked Salmon Benedict (~$29): hollandaise, peppers, chives, and served with local greens Fat & Fluffy French Toast (~$28): with strawberries Iced Latte (~$6): with oat milk Aya's take: There's no way around this - it's average. The name & location probably brings in more patrons than usual but it's certainly not for the quality or taste of the food. We had a reservation yet had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated. Both dishes we got were decent but not great. The Smoked Salmon Benedict tasted a bit fishy but the eggs were cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the greens on the side. The English muffin they use is also a bit unique; it's more buttery and flaky than your typical English muffin. The Fat & Fluffy French Toast was a bit too eggy; dousing it with syrup helped but you shouldn't have to do that for a good French toast. All in all, it was a good try but I probably wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Angelica R.

Yelp
Great location across from Central Park. Staff was friendly. Our server was prompt however we had to ask for more coffee. My Farmer's omelet was delicious! I chose the scone to go with it. It was excellent. My 7 yr old had the pancakes. He loved them. My husband had a popover and scramble. He enjoyed it but was surprised the popover was cold. Very nice atmosphere with delicious food.
google avatar

Aarti G.

Yelp
I wasn't able to get a reservation for 9:30 but it didn't take too long to get a table for 2 people. Our waitress was friendly. We both ordered cappuccinos which were so good and creamy. I got quiche which came with a side salad. I also ordered a scone on the side which came with cream and jam. I think the jam was apricot. The salad was tangy and not too heavily dressed. The scone wasn't too dry and I enjoyed both the cream and jam. My friend got lemon ricotta pancakes which she liked. She said it didn't have enough syrup but they were happy to bring more.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Very basic breakfast food priced like it's something special. Coupled with poor and slow service makes this a place you'll want to skip.
google avatar

Lorraine G.

Yelp
Love Sara Beth's conveniently located on Central Park South between the Plaza and Ritz Carlton. Great for breakfast and lunch. Reservations available online. We ate in the bright garden room with the wisteria above. I chose the basic breakfast with scrambled eggs and applewood bacon. My partner chose eggs Benedict. Coffee is bottomless. A great choice when you're in the city.

Yelp
Every time I come to New York I always look for the right restaurant to eat and with good service . Today this restaurant was on my list.. the food was amazing and the gentleman's that served my table " Daniel & Jorge " were just great ..Made my family feel so welcome, but I will say that one of the managers named America a young lady at the front desk was very rude, unprofessional and unwelcoming while waiting for our table and after being seated ..BAD service she offered to the customer. Had to leave this review for the restaurant best interest..
google avatar

Christie N.

Yelp
We had brunch at Sarabeth's while visiting New York City. The food was fresh. The service was good.. nice atmosphere. Just know that if you get there before the rest of your party, they will not see you until your whole party is there..
google avatar

Cherie G.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! I always come here for my birthday It's a great location. I usually sit indoors, but you can sit outside right by Central Park, how can you beat that? We always get an egg dish then share pancakes or French Toast. The salmon eggs Benedict was DIVOON! Service was great. I had reservations, and seated right away. Great NY VIBES!
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
We had a reservation for a late breakfast and were seated right away. It was very crowded, unsure if that's normal or not so I would recommend a reservation then. The entire ceiling was covered in greenery and just looked so adorable. Our service was very good, no complaints. The food was awesome! I am not a huge breakfast person, but I really liked all of our meal. We got a quiche and an omelette to share. Both were very yummy. The coffee I got was also good. I really liked the jam they served with the bread, so much so that I bought a jar to take home.

Anusha J.

Yelp
The food was impeccable and the restaurant was beautiful. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and had so much flavor. Not to mention it was plated with care and perfection because everything looked so beautiful.
google avatar

Lindsay A.

Yelp
Came for breakfast on a week day with no reservation and were seated immediately. It was crowded but manageable. The service was very quick, almost too quick! I got the wild mushroom scramble which was really good, if you like truffle. My sister had the farmers omelette which she described as unremarkable and a bit dry. Also a little pricey but you expect that being next to Central Park
google avatar

Yvette K.

Yelp
Beautiful surroundings. Light and airy. Nice atmosphere and the food is basically breakfast fare with a few add ons Nothing really jumped out at me flavor wise but all was good we ordered French toast, goat and scallion omelet and popover mushroom and egg The popover I envisioned was filled with the ingredients instead it was mushroom and egg scrambled with a popover instead of toast The coffee maker wasn't working but the espresso was so we ordered cappuccino and that was excellent

Tiff L.

Yelp
I think this place is a little overrated, but it's just a famous spot close to Central Park. Easy to get to and the food is decent. But I don't think there's anything particularly special.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, service, and ambiance close to Central Park. We stayed close by and enjoyed the experience. Reservations advised,
