Where to Drink + Dance in Reykjavík, Iceland
Kíkí Queer Bar

Its not really a gay bar but rather a "queer" bar with mostly heterosexual clients so please change the false advertizing. They also sell overpriced drinks but the music (mostly pop) is usually good and with great atmosphere on the dance floor.

I wanted to love this place. It was mediocre at best. Cons: there is terrible ventilation so it gets hot & steamy quick on a busy night. If people are smoking downstairs outside, you bet you’re going to smell it. Bathrooms were way too dark, you could barely see anything and they smell. Lastly, the space is small so they run out of seats fast on drag nights. I can appreciate what it’s supposed to represent, a safe space for the queers—but it needs work.

Amazing queer bar at the heart of Reykjavik. Great poppy vibes, amazing for dancing, welcoming atmosphere and staff.

I went to this bar with my parents for the aperitif and I ordered a homemade cocktail without alcohol which was, by the way, amazing. When I returned back my empty glass, a few minutes later, the bartender gave me another same cocktail for free, this was just lovely! So, I really recommend this bar to all people who want to have a break in a great atmosphere and to relax with some good music. In addition, thanks a lot to the 2 bartenders, who are just super nice and friendly and thanks for the second cocktail 😉 Yaël, from France 🇫🇷👋🏻 P.S: this bar is LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈😄

Disrespectful stain on the community. No respect for the surrounding area, plays music at a volume late into the night that would not be allowed anywhere else in the world. I am shocked to learn the city is unwilling to address this problem. Don't patronize any establishment that shows such disrespect to it's community.

Super night last Saturday. Staff were really friendly, the show was really good, laughed a lot. Many talented acts! People and vibes are very warm and friendly. Music is on the ball. Happy Hour until 12 and drinks are reasonable (for Reykjavík). Would recommend for people wanting to have a great night

I had an amazing time in Kiki! Bartenders and customers were so welcoming and super nice 😊 LOVE the karaoke night, they should definitely open 7 days a week!! Some feedback to add on, the host Daniel has a nice voice but would be nicer to give the stage more to the guests, and hold the mic further when he’s singing as it was really loud, literally screaming 😅
