"BaiKu, Midtown The Grove by Manifest. Located next to Triumph Grill in Midtown, BaiKu Sushi Lounge is nestled inside Hotel Ignacio. Despite having ample seating, the lounge has an intimate and upscale atmosphere. Comfortable sofas, dim lighting and a fireplace make the space the perfect venue for girls’ night out or date night. You can sit comfortably while Chef Eliott Harris serves up fresh fish in expertly-prepared nigiri, sashimi and special dishes. The wine list at BaiKu features wines by the glass from allover the world. And when it comes to cocktails, it’s about quality—not quantity. The Ichigo and Ryu are two popular picks. BaiKu also offers inexpensive lunch specials, making midday the prime time to visit for sushi lovers."

This place is a great little restaurant with a cozy, downtown atmosphere. I went here with my husband (who is not a fan of sushi) and was surprised to find varied options along with an extensive drink and sushi menu. Our waiter was very friendly and the service we received was excellent. We ordered the Baiku noodles to split between the two of us and it was delicious!

Chill spot. In the hotel. Good flavors. Meat was cooked perfectly. The dish overall had a couple of misses. But overall was good.

Amazing Uni! First time to have it state side that tasted as good as it did in Japan. Nice relaxing atmosphere, attentive wait staff, and wonderful sushi presentation and taste.

One of the best sushi places in town. Unique and awesome specials.

The space is really unique and our server was so incredibly pleasant and sweet. The food left much to be desired. Miso soup was okay. Sushi is better had elsewhere. Pad Thai didn't taste like pad Thai and was almost a stir fry. Maybe it was just the night..

Really enjoyed BaiKu. The head chef used to have the best sushi truck in town and it's a treat to try his creations at the brick and mortar. Only lose of a star was due to the hostess. We visited on 10/20/17 and the restaurant was not terribly busy when we arrived. She sat us between two other couples very tightly packed when there were plenty of other tables available. Worse though was while we were finishing, she cleaned one of the vacated tables and sprayed us with cleaner. Both my girlfriend and I were caught in the path of the spray bottle. Not the end of the world, but our drinks were on that side of the table and we were forced to not finish them afterwards. Our server was excellent and I look forward to going again. Hopefully some the hostess can get some constructive feedback.

St Louis isn't known for sushi, but this is the best sushi I've had in the city. We went when it wasn't busy so service was fast. The presentation is beautiful and the fish is tasty. The menu prices are a bit high, even for sushi. I will be back for sure.

The food was very tasty. I don't feel that we were there that late in the evening and yet the service was less than stellar. The signature cocktail was quite nice, very flavorful. Overall I will go back probably closer to the time that they open, which I think will provide the optimal experience.
