typical performative café
tiny space, matcha & coffee focused
overstated Ghibli vibe, not really feel it here
good for pictures & quick chats

I ordered a cold brew, and it had a rich, deep flavor. The café has an atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional Japanese house, but it gets crowded during weekend afternoons. You might want to be a bit cautious around the dog outside, looked like an aggressive dog.

This café has a calm and cozy vibe. The music is soft, the decor is minimal yet warm, and the coffee is smooth and well-made. Great place to chill alone or with friends.

Charming coffee hidden in a quiet street, cozy atmosphere. Delicious drink and ice cream. The staff were friendly.

Although a friend mentioned that Machiya Coffee is usually packed, I personally found it to be one of those overhyped cafés. The space is decent, and the drinks are fine but there’s nothing that really sets it apart from the countless other cafés in Ho Chi Minh City.
What left a particularly poor impression was the service. The staff member taking our order couldn’t offer any recommendations or explain the drinks on the menu. I’m generally unimpressed by cafés or restaurants where the staff don’t seem to know or care about what they’re serving.

It is such a cozy coffee shop with great matcha latte and quiet place. There is a workshop area upstairs.
