On the Grid : Magasand

"You can guess the concept just by reading the name: magazines & sandwiches. This is all about selected international magazines that you can't easily find in Madrid (Apartamento, Ethic, Elephant...), and gourmet sandwiches among which is our beloved Pastrami. Breakfast consisting of smoothies, fruits and granola 'al fresco' is also a really cool way to start your day. You can read inside, outside, buy magazines or just borrow them. It's notable for its peaceful terrace next to the crowdy Serrano street." - id.real

Really nice place. If you’re looking for a light snack or meal this is the place. The curry chicken sandwich was really taste. Staff is friendly. You order and pay online which is convenient, however, cellular reception is mot the best so sometimes the process is a bit annoying.

Best gazpacho soup I’ve had! Definitely best I had during my visit to Spain. Strong flavors and so fresh tasting. Great spot for quick salad and sandwich options. I got the pizza too which was just fine.

This restaurant is a sandwich paradise! With a diverse bread selection, including regular, focaccia, and gluten-free options, there's something for everyone. The little Benedict egg for breakfast is a delightful treat, perfectly poached and rich. And don't even get me started on the coffee - it's a java lover's dream. Whether you're craving classics or exploring gluten-free fare, this place offers a wide array of mouthwatering choices. It's a must-visit for sandwich aficionados and breakfast lovers alike.

This is an old favorite of mine. Good food, vibes, and laptop friendly. HOWEVER. I visited recently with a vegan who ordered a sandwich named “veganches” that was not actually vegan. The sandwich had dairy cheese on it which she had a bite of before realizing. I don’t know why they would put vegan in the name of a sandwich made with imitation chicken and then put dairy cheese on it, but they have. The waiter was a bit rude when we asked about it, though eventually they replaced the meal with a vegan bowl. It’s pretty serious for a vegan to eat an animal product and could be an issue for those with allergies so just make sure you triple confirm (this is good practice in Spain generally).

We had a good lunch here. The portions are small but delicious. Within our group, we tried a variety of juices, sandwiches, and salads, all of which were tasty. It wasn't the best food I had while visiting Madrid, but it was good and I would visit again if I were in the neighborhood.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner or even snack this place has it all, they have a wide range of sandwiches, salads and other healthy option. The food was fine but I personally did not like the sauce they've used with the Tuna bagel and on the potatoes, but I would come back to try the other dishes.

Fresh, healthy and tasty food. Very easy, you come in, order at the counter and get a number to sit in any table. The service is quick and the food is amazing. Good quantities. This one in particular can get busy around weekdays for lunch as it’s a office/business area. Recommend the mozzarella di buffala. Served with sundried tomatoes and truffle oil - DE LI CIOUS.

Really delicious food, friendly staff and lovely location. Magasand is definitely one of the best places to go for lunch in Madrid. My personal recommendation is the Focaccia Tonata. Portion sizes are a bit small, so I would recommend you order two dishes if you're very hungry.
