The Bradbury Science Museum in Los Alamos is an excellent and fascinating place to visit, especially if you’re interested in the history of the Manhattan Project and Los Alamos National Laboratory. The exhibits do a great job explaining both the scientific achievements and the historical context of the work that took place here, and it’s impressive how clearly complex topics are presented for visitors of all backgrounds.
The museum provides a great overview of the development of nuclear science and the role Los Alamos played during World War II, along with exhibits on modern research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. It’s both educational and engaging, with a nice mix of history, science, and interactive displays.
This should definitely be on your list if you’re interested in the Manhattan Project or are visiting the nearby Manhattan Project National Historical Park sites in Los Alamos. It’s an essential stop for understanding the history and significance of the area and one I always enjoy visiting.
