PORTER EXCHANGE SHIBUYA

A small store with some decent choice -and a couple of Porter Exchange exclusive items- but most importantly an absolutely fantastic staff. Despite the small area they manage to give you space to wander around and explore only to come to you when you need their help. I think it might be a cultural difference but in other stores, staff usually comes by and “try to help” , except it only creates an uncomfortable situation since I can’t speak Japanese and they keep following me around without being able to help. Well … Not here … Not only they make sure you’re comfortable browsing but when I asked for assistance I met someone who speaks English better than me :) I’ve always enjoyed the experience at Porter stores and this one was amongst the best, despite the fact that I didn’t really find what I was looking for they directed me to another store nearby who might have more choices. I still took something exclusive to Porter Exchange and the taxfree process was smooth and immediate (done directly by the store). Overall a pretty good experience, if you’re in Shibuya and going to Parco give it a visit.

Excellent store— exceptional service and of course, amazing handmade products. The young man who spoke English was beyond patient with me and my mom, helping us select two bags for quite some time that we will use forever. He was extremely knowledgeable and could even tell us what kind of laptop could fit in each bag. Wish I could remember his name (starts with a J?), he made our experience very memorable!

I’ve been to several PORTER stores in Tokyo, and this one is definitely my favorite. I’ve been shopping here for a few years now. It’s a small location, but they always have great selections. Kent helped me with my purchase this time and was very kind and professional. He’s fluent in English and has excellent knowledge about the brand and the products. If you ever have any product-related questions, look for Kent—he’ll take great care of you. If you’re planning to visit any PORTER stores in Tokyo, I highly recommend stopping by this one.
