We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest from Christmas Eve for a few days over the festive period, and it was nothing short of magical. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and felt especially enchanting at Christmas - elegant, warm, and wonderfully festive without feeling overwhelming.||We did experience a slight issue with our initial room, however Enikő at the front desk went completely above and beyond to resolve this. She was truly outstanding - moving us to another room and ensuring it was spotless, comfortable, and perfect before offering it to us. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference, and she is a real credit to the hotel.||The spa was a highlight of our stay and we visited every day. Having a lift directly from our floor down into the spa was incredibly convenient. The facilities were excellent: two saunas, a steam room, two jacuzzis, and a beautiful pool. It was calm, peaceful, and never crowded, the perfect place to unwind during a winter city break.||The hotel’s location is ideal. It’s a short and pleasant walk into the centre of Budapest, with easy access to the Christmas markets, Parliament building, ruin bars, and many other attractions. The famous New York Café is on the same street, which was a lovely bonus. We walked everywhere and didn’t need public transport, though trams and buses stop right outside the hotel if needed.||We didn’t opt for breakfast at the hotel, instead discovering several quiet, charming cafés just a short walk away, which added to the relaxed feel of the trip.||Our room was clean, with extremely comfortable beds, no noise or interruptions, and we slept incredibly well throughout our stay. The minibar was well stocked and everything felt thoughtful and high quality.||We also enjoyed Christmas dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was tasteful, beautifully presented, and excellent value for money. The staff were extremely attentive and made the evening feel special without being overly formal. In the evenings, we enjoyed cocktails at the bar, the waiters and barmen were fantastic, friendly, and the drinks were absolutely delicious.||Budapest itself felt calm, peaceful, and unhurried over Christmas. Everyone we encountered was polite and welcoming, which added to the overall sense of relaxation and charm.||All of the staff at the Corinthia were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere throughout our stay was warm, elegant, and festive. It was the perfect Christmas getaway, and we genuinely cannot wait to return.
