Aret'in Yeri

Our favorite place each time we visit Istanbul♥️ Beautiful mezze, very fresh fish,,warm atmosphere and lovely, welcoming staff. Away from tourist spots and a mix of mostly locals enjoying time together. Go up to the terrace and reserve your table by the window for a sunset soaked delicious meal!

Great quality meyhane with an amazing rooftop. Unique Armenian mezze and fantastic, delicious hamsi kebab thing. Pricey but good quality, I will definitely be back! A bit smoky, try and sit by a window

A recommendation from a colleague that was worth going to. A family friendly restaurant for toddlers with a lovely atmosphere (live music) and delicious food. Our highlights from the food we had were meat in pastry, the lamb skewers and frilled anchovies.

I've had my eye on Aret'in Yeri for a while, and their meze selection immediately caught my attention. I wish I had come with a group so I could have tried more! The lakerda was an easy 10/10—the best I’ve ever had. The topik? Also 10/10! I usually say my family makes it best, but Aret’in Yeri might just beat me on that. I also tried the grilled anchovies based on the waiter’s recommendation, and I’m so grateful I did—it was fantastic. Nothing beats the joy of delicious meze, fresh fish, and a glass of rakı as the sun sets. The restaurant is in Nevizade with a terrace—not much of a view, but the food more than makes up for it. Prices are reasonable, and I truly appreciate the experience. This meal brought me so much joy and even helped ease my homesickness. Highly recommended!

Brilliant food and service. I was brought here by two Istanbul locals and was some of the best seafood I have eaten in the city! Recommend the tahini mackerel, cured salmon and grilled sardines. Service by Mr Nevzat was absolutely exceptional - strongly recommend this restaurant!

Here has always been an amazing place to spend time. I’ve visited their new location for the first time and we had a great time again. Thanks to all the staff but special thanks to Nevzat for great service and conversation.

By far the best meal we have had in our two weeks in Turkey! A huge variety of mezzes Loved the cheese with pistachio and sundried tomatoes with figs! Delicious cheese pastry and the sardines were perfectly cooked! Our waiter Mehmet was friendly and really looked after us! Highly recommended…. We will surely Be back when we visit again

Had delicious fish dishes - sea bass, calamari and anchovies. The staff does not speak English, but that was not a big problem. We sat outside, the overhead heating was too hot for English people :)

Excellent food! My friend and I were looking for a good local place to dine. Thankfully we got recommended to come here. We ordered few appetizers, the small fish Kabab with rice and shrimps and calamaris. Every single of them was delicious. As a tourist is hard to find a nice local place. We are so happy to find this place. If you go there weekend, make sure to reserve ahead of time and if you reserve in rooftop you will see the city lights. The owner, Aret was such a kind person and we had a nice chat with him.

Great, fresh mezze, loved the bread and raki! It's on the top story, good place to go before a night out in Taksim. You can smoke inside, they had live music when i was there on a Wednesday night. The bathroom is one floor below, 4th. Take the elevator up/down :) enjoy and thanks Aret!
