"Morning Exercises in Jing'an Park In the mornings, Shanghai residents slow down for tai chi in this small park opposite Jing'an Temple, with a landscaped garden, a Chinese pavilion, and pond. Stop by to observe the peaceful ritual—and keep an eye out for locals who bringtheir birds to the park to learn new songs from each other. By Cindy Chupack"

Jing’an Park is a great little escape in the middle of the city. It’s super relaxing, and one of the coolest things is seeing the older folks dancing and playing music—gives the place a really warm, local vibe. The metro station right by the park is super convenient, so it's easy to get to. Plus, it's surrounded by fancy malls, so you can go from peaceful park strolls to high-end shopping in minutes.

The park is small, but well-greened, with a central lake, a large lawn, and the Eight Scenery Gardens in the Garden. To the east is a statue of educator Cai Yuanpei. There are always artists performing outdoors at the entrance of the park, so there are quite a few grandpas and aunts who come here to sing and dance.

An urban oasis in the centre of Shanghai. So many stray cats that are friendly and adorable. Has a small playground for kids! Love this park!

One of my favourite Parks in Shanghai. It’s small, but love the vibe and especially the Rhino sculptures. There is always some activity happening in the Park

Great temple, surrounded by the bustling business district which makes it quite unique (I doubt there are real monks in here tho, everything there spells money)

located opposite Jing’an temple, small cafe is in front of the park. It takes 10-15 mins to walk through the park.

It’s small park nested within a highly commercial shopping and business district. Nothing much to see except that you’ll find a lot of cats and a hidden alfresco restaurant (Thai) which offers so-so food probably because the owner thinks it has a unique environment. Don’t bother.
