Cape point, or Cape of Good Hope, is located inside the Table Mountain National Park of Cape Town. It is located at the southeast corner of Cape peninsula. I visited the place in October, when it was spring season at this place, I must say this is the best time to visit Cape Town. It is about a 2.5 hours journey from Cape town, however the journey in between is so pretty that you enjoy every bit of it. Along the journey you are passing on a coastal road which has breath taking sea views. Also, you pass through beautiful mountains covered with sooo much beautiful natural flora and fauna that you would not have seen in any other part of the world. The natural wild growing flowers of this area are very unique and I was taken aback by their beauty. Unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures of many of these as you see these during your journey and you cannot stop the transport at every spot. However still you can break your journey at many paces to take pictures and for relaxation.
Cape point itself is very beautiful. On reaching the place you take a shuttle “Flying Dutchman “, to reach the uphill view point. At the top you still have a small hike to reach up or you can enjoy at the same level. Views at this place are remarkable. When you come down there is a souvenir shop at the spot.
Excitement do not end here. On your way back you take a left turn from the main road and after a small ride you reach at the sea level view point. This itself is a very beautiful place to witness a beautiful sunset at southern east point of the Cape Peninsula. To add sensation to the site, wild ostriches were wandering here and there at the sea shore.
