"The Medina's Second Square If the Djemaa el Fna is the epicenter of Marrakech , the Rahba Lakdima—otherwise known as the Place des Épices, or Spice Traders Square—is surely the epicenter of the medina itself. Bursting with rambunctious energy and high-voltage color, the marketis lined on one side by mysterious herbalists and spice traders selling everything from snakeskins to rose petals to ras el hanout (the famous Moroccan spice blend), and by carpet sellers on the other. Venture tothe latter’s lair around 4 p.m. when sellers come down from the mountain villages, and you’ll be treated to the spectacle of them plying their trade with the professionals. And in the middle, heaps of woven baskets and woolen skullcaps are piled high. There’s no better place to sit and watch this daily theater unfold than at the Café des Épices, the first of several that have now opened there, but still our favorite for excellent coffee, fresh salads, sandwiches, and tagines."

This is my second visit here whilst on holiday & I write this with deep gratitude for the food i just ate! It does get very busy but there is no longer waiting times due to this. There's a reason why its busy, its PERFECT! Hats off to the staff, you should all be proud of your service 👏

We tried the coffee, iced tea, and dessert, and they were all very good. The atmosphere on the terrace is wonderful, and the team working there were very helpful and friendly. Unlike many popular tourist spots where you’re not allowed to choose your table, the terrace staff were very chill and accommodating.💖

This place is a whole vibe! I loved the atmosphere, sitting outside in the sun and watching the market and people passing by was just a treat. Breakfast was delicious topped with Moroccan tea and a great service - all made it a perfect morning. Highly recommend marking this location as your must during a stay in Marrakech 🌞👍🏻

Was walking the streets and many locals suggested this place for a Moroccan breakfast. And they were totally right the breakfast was tasty, beautiful view over the souk and a very sweet staff. Definitely on my list everytime I’ll be in marrakesh

A lovely café right on Jemaa el Fna! Drinks arrived very quickly, and the prices are surprisingly fair for such a touristy area. The staff were very attentive and even brought extra plates so we could share the delicious tajine – really great service. The restroom was also clean and well kept. The tea could have steeped a bit longer and the music was a little loud, but that’s part of the lively atmosphere of the square. Overall, a really nice spot to take a break and enjoy the vibrant scene.

Great tanjine, got the beef, was excellent. Also sitting outside was great watching people come and go in the market, giving it a really good atmosphere. You can eat inside too and theres a terrace i think. Well priced and staff were all friendly. Planning on going back! Shokran.
