Mesón de Bari

Ambience is nice. Really makes you feel like you're in historical Santo Domingo. A bit overpriced for the food portions. The goat "creole sauce" was so salty, I had to order rice just to be able to eat the dish. Entrees came with sides.

This place is awesome. The chivo guisado was one of the best things I've eaten this year. Service is great, really nice with family and friends.

Really nice spot in the Colonial Zone for just hanging around. Very affordable if you come from the States. Taste was alright. Meat are cooked to different tenderness, which is a little weird.

The food is ok, nothing spectacular but the ambiance and setting are beautiful, very calm and relaxing. It's a little bit overpriced for the food itself, but the overall experience is good. The beef dishes are better than shrimp and fish.

Very nice restaurant overall. Food and service are very good, but not great. The location is on par with the nicer restaurants in the colonial zone.

So far my favorite local food and with a great location right in the middle of the city center. We had bistec encebollado and ropa vieja which both were delicious. The side of tostones was also fantastic.
