"The Italian architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel is and has always been committed to this version of cool, porcelain-and-glass refinement, and their Bulgari Hotel portfolio is no different. With floor-to-ceiling windows, a bed made of woven bamboo, a private sauna, and views of Beijing’s Liangma River, you’ll feel like a statesman on top of the world. And for 1,300 square feet at this price, you probably already are." (Starting $20,099/night)

Best Hotels and Resorts in the World: The Gold List 2022

"There aren’t many cities as intense as Beijing, with its ring roads like clogged arteries. Even its imperial core—the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Drum and Bell Towers—hums with frantic life. I’ve always found it a city to attack and then retreat from, which is what makes the Bulgari Hotel such a joy. Hugging the Liangma River, gently removed from the embassies and expat buzz of Sanlitun, it spills onto a manicured garden by Swiss landscape designer Enzo Enea—a bit of soft green zen in a city of so many grays. Inside there are Asian nods but mostly a certain luxuriant sleekness: crisp blacks and golds, with archival photographs and folding copper screens. I usually ask for a south-facing room, as high up as possible, looking through floor-to-ceiling windows not just to the sun but to the wonky skyline across the river. Everything is smoothly tactile, from leather-paneled walls to sliding wooden screens, fringed Bulgari-branded bedspreads, and velveteen sofas. Award-winning chef Niko Romito’s regional Abruzzo dishes, such as Wagyu tagliata and oyster risotto, are served under great geometric Murano chandeliers. The spa, with its pool seemingly hewn from black marble, was partly inspired by Rome’s ancient Baths of Caracalla. Outside, Beijing may be rushing by, but inside, a very Italian coolness reigns. Doubles from $583. —Vincent Wang" - CNT Editors

From the moment my wife and I arrived at the Bulgari Hotel, our experience was nothing short of spectacular. The decor is a stunning blend of elegance and sophistication, with every detail meticulously curated. The ambiance is both luxurious and inviting, making it the perfect retreat for anyone seeking a memorable getaway.|However, what truly set our stay apart was the exceptional service provided by Jackie and her incredible team. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel like we were part of the Bulgari family. Always greeted with friendly smiles, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Whether it was providing personalized recommendations or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, their dedication to guest experience was evident throughout our stay.|Every aspect of our visit was thoughtfully considered, and we left feeling rejuvenated and pampered. I can't recommend the Bulgari Hotel enough—if you're looking for a luxurious escape with a team that genuinely cares about your experience, look no further. Thank you Jackie and team, for making our stay beyond amazing! We can't wait to return!

The hotel is right by the Liangma river and is walkable to Sanlitun. The rooms are nicely appointed with nice amenities. Service is top notch, and a special shoutout to Helen, who was super helpful, attentive and responsive throughout my stay!

My family and I went to Beijing for family vacation. Our friend recommended us to stay at Bulgari, she thinks it's the best hotel in Beijing. So we did. We stayed for four nights and ABSOLUTELY liked everything about this hotel. From the impeccable services to cozy rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded my expectations. I was impressed by how smart and friendly the staffs were. All of them made us feel like home. Jackie, the hotel GM, was one the best GM I've met. She was very energetic and helpful.|This is my first time ever writing a review about hotel. It is a hidden gem and I want to share my experiences with all of you;)

Bvlgari Hotel Beijing: Not Enough Style, No Substance For a hotel that commands one of the highest price tags in Beijing, the Bvlgari fails to deliver on almost every count. Upon arrival, our room reeked of smoke—a wholly unacceptable start to what should have been a luxury stay. To their credit, the staff did allow us to move rooms, though the new one was noticeably smaller, compounding the disappointment. Breakfast, whether in the restaurant or via room service, arrived cold and uninspired on both occasions. Service across the board was appalling: indifferent, poorly trained staff who seemed out of their depth. A request for soap over the phone resulted in milk being sent to the room—an error as baffling as it was telling. The arrival experience was similarly lacklustre. The bellmen displayed little initiative, making for an unimpressive welcome. While the concierge was helpful and the in-room amenities were of good quality, these isolated bright spots could not rescue the overall experience. The facilities, though aesthetically pleasing, are unremarkable, and the rooms themselves feel cramped given the rates charged. For a hotel that trades so heavily on its brand name, there’s simply not enough substance to justify the price. If you’re looking for a truly refined experience, you’re far better off at proper luxury hotels like The Peninsula or the Four Seasons, where service and substance meet expectations.

A gem of a pool, modern gym, and deluxe locker facilities. My favorite is using the cold vapor sauna right after the steam sauna. The service is friendly and prompt and it has one of the best spas in Beijing. After we had an amazing dinner at the Italian restaurant, we went for a beautiful stroll along the waterfront. The lobby bar is lovely. The rooms are nicely appointed with great views. I am a senior director of resort development for Universal Destinations and Experiences and I will always come back to the Bulgari Beijing.

room is dated. housekeeping needed to be told in order to do its job properly. food is bad, breakfast (three times) was all ready made, nothing fresh, tasted bland. lunch was just as bad at Niko romiko, totally unremarkable ... we quickly canceled our dinner booking. loved the people there but at the same time feeling sorry for them wasting their time working in this form over substance overrated property.
