This was part of our Michelin food tour around Hanoi. The bun cha was good and I still enjoyed it, but it wasn't my favorite one from the trip. The flavors were nice and the portions were decent, I just preferred the other spots we tried. Still worth a visit if you are already in the area.

BUN CHA! My favourite I need to eat them all in Hanoi!! The price is 70k VND (2025) and I also order one fried spring roll (15k VND) and ice tea (5k VND) so the total cost came at 90k VND. I saw they BBQ the meat at the street side and it smells very good, and they also fried the spring roll by the road side too. I can’t say the hygiene, this is Hanoi, but the taste is so good, and the portion of pork so generous, I really enjoy it. I remember I finished the whole thing and got so full, especially they offer me a huge basket of fresh leaves, I needed them!!! I am a happy person after the meal, I didn’t have stomach pain or diarrhea or anything like that, so for those speculators, I think it is safe, at least for my one time experience per say, hahah

It’s a must-try! The bun cha, with its smoky grilled pork patties and belly on bamboo skewers, was bursting with flavor, especially with the betel leaf twist. The dipping sauce hit all the right sweet-sour notes, and the nem cua be (crab spring rolls) were crispy perfection. Fresh herbs and vermicelli tied it all together. The lively street-food vibe, with tiny stools and friendly service, made it authentic and fun. Super affordable at ~50,000-75,000 VND. 5 stars for this Hanoi gem!

Running parallel to the train track is this Bún chả shop which serves a decent Bún chả at 70,000đ a bowl. Very generous with their meat portions. Unfortunately they ran out of their fried spring rolls. The Bún was smooth and the meat slices were not dry but the soup was slightly sweeter than other places.

When in Hanoi, Do What the Hanoians Do… 🤭😋😉 - Originally wanted to drop by the Barrack Obama and Anthony Bourdain-made famous Bun Cha Huong Lien, but chanced by this local favourite (packed with locals—duh!) during our attempt to accomplish our 30K steps for the day. There were so many locals, which I used as an indication that this street restaurant must be good, with only a handful of foreigners that included my other half and I. And, great it truly was. BC4CD’s Bun Cha was exceedingly delicious, with a generous selection of heavily BBQ’d and tender pork meat served swimming in a bowl of smoky sweet broth, accompanied by a large punnet of greens and herbs, and Bun (Rice Vermicelli)…👌👏👍 Shout out to the minced patties wrapped in what I assumed were betel leaves. The entire street restaurant was unassuming—knee-level plastic tables and chairs, and constantly noisy with excitement from the cooks and service attendants communicating by screaming at one another, money-collecting owners screaming at their cooks and service attendants to hurry things up, and hungry customers patiently waiting with conversations that resonated to Paris and Rome… 😂 Yet, although BC4CD’s Bun Cua is good, it still has not dethroned my personal favourite Vietnamese dish, the Vietnamese quintessential Pho Bo (Vietnamese Beef Noodles) from Pho Lam, Pho Khoi Hoi (Chuyen Bo) and Truyen. I will definitely be back again. 😉

Highly recommended! The smoky pork is extremely good and I can’t stop eating it! Would definitely come back in the future again. Thus far, the best bun cha I had in Hanoi!!

The real deal on the streets of Hanoi. Recommend by a local and it did not disappoint! Savory broth, grilled pork, and egg rolls...with a Hanoi beer to wash it down. A beautiful day with a memorable lunch. 👍

Sweet, savory, smokey goodness. Smelt the meat bbq-ing kerb side over coals and couldn't resist. The taste did not disapoint.
