Full of history, this is a jack of all trades! Great pub, great smoking area, offers lots of events - such as ceilidh every Friday and film nights! Historic photos of Glasgow around the walls, and looked like amazing food too. Haggis and pork sausage roll - yes please!

Really cool spot in Glasgow. The fish and chips was a really nice portion, and the fish itself nicely cooked. The macaroni was a solid "restaurant mac and cheese" with a clove of crumble toppings. Good local beers, and some musicians played folk music at just the right volume. Well worth a visit and not hard to get to in the city center.

The Mac and cheese. Whatever you’re thinking of ordering, make sure it’s the Mac and cheese. The pub itself is lovely, the staff are great and there’s loads of history in the building. The Sunday lunch was fabulous but honestly… it’s all about the Mac. It’s on another level. They say they’re famous for it, and I can absolutely see why. Am I considering driving three hours just for the Mac and cheese? Yes. Yes, I am. Incase you haven’t guessed, I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese.

One of my go to’s whenever I’m in Glasgow. Good pub fun especially the fish & chips. Good pints and great friendly staff!

Tuesday Midweek visit and still a busy spot, no room inside. So had to sit outside. Service, one person behind the bar taking orders. But was on a cocktail order so had to wait a bit, whilst waiting 5 customers left the premises deciding not to wait. Order the legendary mac n cheese.

We had a wonderful wedding party here. Beautiful setting, gorgeous lights (by LillyCole Events) and an absolutely stress-free, lovely day. The staff were brilliant — Aimee on the events team and everyone working during the evening. Thank you!

Great pub, stopped in just for a pint. One of the oldest bars in Glasgow, vibrant outdoor patio, clean and well kept inside without losing the authentic and historical feel.

First time in Sloan’s and I knew within half an hour just by drinking at the bar that I fricking love it here! The entertainment with the Irish songs was top notch, beers are great as well - I love how their Scottish lager is brewed locally to German purity laws, so you know it’ll be good! So were the Scottish IPAs and Guinness I came up here for the monthly macaroni themed buffet event. April’s theme was Greek. I won’t pretend the food was the most mind blowing stuff I’ve ever tried, I believe they’re better at being a pub than a restaurant but the food was good and the atmosphere just topped it off. The staff did a great job. It was good enough I took some of the “mystery mac” (which was Greek style mousaka) in a takeaway box. I would 100% come back here on a monthly pilgrimage, and I come all the way from Oxfordshire for the privilege! Yes it really is that good! The historic decor just adds to the charm of what Sloan’s claim is the oldest pub in Glasgow. I’d love to try the other items on the menu as well Please, just go here. Don’t question it, just do it. You’ll be in for a good time one way or another. I wish I didn’t live so far away, I know I’d be a more frequent visitor if I was based near Scotland
