"Puerto Rican seafood on the bay El Dorado is a favorite in Salinas. The seafood is fresh and plentiful, and the menu boosts some unique twists on classic Puerto Rican dishes. This restaurant is located along the Ruta Gastronomica which has many restaurants each with their own special "mojo" sauce used to create delicious fish specials. Not into fish? That's okay, there is plenty more on the menu! If you want to try Puerto Rico 's take on seafood, then this is a perfect place to experience it!"

Food was amazing! Everyone was very friendly. Not pictured: Taza de 7 Potencias, the Chicharrones de pescado, and the guava cheesecake, all which were delicious as well.

Fresh seafood, ocean views, and authentic flavors.El Dorado serves up Puerto Rican favorites like snapper, mofongo, tostones, a variety of seafood and local beer & handcrafted cocktails. Watch tarpon swim below as you dine, and whatever you do, stay for dessert—it’s unreal, especially with a piña colada in hand!

If you find yourself in Salinas, Puerto Rico, and you’re looking for a place that combines delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service—El Dorado is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the aromas of home-cooked Puerto Rican cuisine and the warm smiles of the staff. The setting is colorful and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a great meal with friends or family. The flavors were rich and authentic. What made the experience truly memorable was our server, Yamilka. She was attentive and genuinely kind. She made thoughtful recommendations and treated us like family. So if you’re in Salinas and craving real Puerto Rican flavor with top-tier service, head to El Dorado—and definitely ask for Yamilka. She’ll make you feel right at home.

The pan seared red snapper was fabulous! Indoor was rather loud with a large party beside us but otherwise the whole experience was top notch and the price was surprisingly reasonable. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.

Views are outstanding. Ordered the queen snapper whole(cartucho) and it was on the dry side. Flavor good but too dry. I'll have a red snapper instead - smaller and might be easier to cook to keep moist.
