Yum Yum Hibachi

It wasn’t at all what I expected. There isn’t really a sit-down restaurant. The tiny interior only has space for four or five people to stand by the register and place their orders. That being said, the food was so delicious, I’ll definitely be back more often! Honestly, it’s such a better value compared to traditional hibachi places. For just $15, you get a huge bowl of your meal. I went with the steak option, which came with plenty of veggies and fried rice. You also get to choose a side sauce and garnishes. I tried the hot yum yum sauce and ginger, both of which were fantastic. There were only two people working—the chef and a guy helping with orders and serving the food. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, but no indoor dining area. The outdoor seating is picnic-style, but there are no heaters or umbrellas.

Food is absolutely fresh and healthy. My order usually consist of the teriyaki chicken bowl and spring rolls. I truly enjoyed my visit. Again, this is one of the places that rank at the top primarily due to food, service, and in and out type ambiance. Love it! It's very convenient and makes for a great stop for a great healthy meal.

We've had Yum Yum Hibachi twice now and it's hit it out of the park for us both times. We're often plagued in our household with decision paralysis when it comes to what we want for dinner, but we won't need to worry about that anymore with Yum Yum! The quantity of food you receive for the price paid is amazing. While I can certainly inhale an entire giant bowl (truly, it's that good), I can also easily split it into two meals! We're enamored with the spicy yum yum sauce and the great ratio of protein - vegetable - carb. Above all, I'm absolutely sold on the owner and staff here. We chose to dine "in" at the outdoor tables for our visit yesterday and had the pleasure of witnessing the owner's interactions with all his customers - he is such a kind, patient, and lovely person. I'm proud to support this place and will be coming here regularly.

Recently, I ordered catering through Kim, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything met my needs. She communicated quickly and thoroughly, followed up proactively, and worked with me to accommodate a range of dietary restrictions. She was truly amazing to work with. The food was not only delicious but also healthy, which is hard to find these days. Upon arrival, I was impressed to see the owner personally taking orders, showing just how much he values his customers. His hands-on approach and genuine desire to connect with the community made me want to support his business even more. The portions were large, the flavors were outstanding, and the quality was well worth the price. The first thing that comes to mind about this place is bland food and small portions. I ordered a tuna bowl for $17, and it was only half full. The tuna itself was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavor--even after adding teriyaki sauce, it still didn't help much. My husband enjoyed his chicken bowl, but I wasn't a fan--it was made with dark meat, which I personally don't like. I placed my order online, and while it was marked as ready when I arrived (well before the 20-25 minute estimate), by the time I actually got the food, both bowls were completely cold. Clearly, their time estimates are way off.

I really like Yum Yum Hibachi! The front staff was really patient and was quick with suggestions when I said that it was my first time trying their food and wasn't quite sure what to get. I decided on a chicken bowl with white rice, green onions, sesame seeds, eggplant and water chestnuts. I also ordered 2 spring rolls. The chicken bowl I think was delicious; I would've liked the spring rolls to have a little bit more flavor. The portion sizes are a little bit too small for me, but I tend to eat a large portion sizes (so this may be a me issue). They don't have indoor dining, but do have plenty of tables and chairs as well as benches outside with umbrellas. It's very low-key. They can get really busy from what I've seen with a lot of takeaways, online orders as well as dine-in customers. I didn't have very long to wait until my food came out, though. Their turnaround time is pretty quick. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Been driving by this place on Ashburn Rd for a while now, trying to figure it out. Wow, now I know. Friendly staff, and fantastic food! Pick your meat (I went chicken), rice, toppings, and sauces, and they make the magic. Really delicious. Not sure what the Yum dessert was, but light and refreshing, excellent. I'll be back to this one soon.

Yum Yum Hibachi is set up like a walk-up counter where you can pick-up your orders to go or dine al fresco at one of their available tables. For your hibachi bowl, you choose your protein (there are half & half combo options, too), base, toppings, and sauces, and you can add various sides, too, such as miso soup, steamed carrots, spring rolls, karaage, etc. The bowls automatically include broccoli, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, and zucchini. We came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: +a Steak bowl with cauliflower rice, topped with green onions, sesame seeds, teriyaki drizzle, and opting for the Yum Yum sauce +a Shrimp bowl with rice noodles, topped with green onions, sesame seeds, teriyaki drizzle, and opting for the Spicy Yum Yum sauce Both the steak and the shrimp were cooked well, juicy, and flavorful! We were surprised with how much protein they had in the bowl - there was so much chunks of steak and shrimp, we were very pleasantly surprised! The bowl could easily be broken into 2 meals easily. I think the next time, we would opt out of the teriyaki sauce, as it made the bowl a bit too sweet. The Yum Yum sauces were a good complement to the dish, but wished they provided just a bit more for those who like it saucy. I'd probably go for a white rice base on the next visit. Stopped in today for lunch, pulling up it's right by a housing development, but had parking reserved for customers at Yum Yum Hibachi so was a breeze with parking. The restaurant is smaller, not a typical sit down, more of grab and go / casual outdoor seatings, there's plenty of tables for you to enjoy your meal and you just come up to the counter and order. The gentleman helping us as we arrived was beyond welcoming, friendly and helpful. Service was awesome! My boyfriend ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi and I got a Chicken Hibachi. Did not lack in flavor and plentiful of protein in the bowl. We both got the fire yum yum sauce (the spiciest they have and it had a nice kick but also really good flavors). I love hibachi so super happy to see a quick grab & go spot for it! Amazing quick spot to stop by and glad it's added to the community. Will definitely be a regular routine spot for quick meals!

My mom chose this spot for her birthday, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much at first. Most hibachi places where you order at the counter tend to be pretty average--but this one was a pleasant surprise! I ordered the half chicken, half shrimp bowl over noodles with onions and red peppers, all cooked in a tasty teriyaki sauce and topped with sesame seeds. I added the firecracker yum yum sauce--not overly spicy, but it had a nice little kick and really brought the whole dish together. Super flavorful and a generous portion! We also had the spring rolls--crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. And for dessert, I tried the Yum Cup... and yep, it was YUMMY! Highly recommend giving this place a try. Great flavors, good portions, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.

I know I write a lot of 5* reviews. But I'm not an easy critic with low standards. Usually 1-3* restaurants I'll omit review and give them a chance to do better the 2nd time. First impressions can be skewed by circumstance. Anyways - the circumstances were always right when ordering here. The staff are always great, even when ordering late. Food is delicious, consistently. You're on par with chipotle pricing but getting much more quality here. Views aren't the selling point, but convenience, and it's conveniently located with a parking lot that's light-moderate. 5*!

This restaurant deserves all the praise it gets. It's a great deal for the amount of food they give. It's quality ingredients as well which makes it a no brainer lunch option. I ordered the steak hibachi bowl and it comes with steak and veggies. But you can also add other toppings such as sesame seeds. My girlfriend also got the steak hibachi bowl. We both agreed that it's better than some sit down hibachi restaurants which is a high praise. The service was fairly quick. We got our food within 10 mins of ordering and you can see them cooking the food so you know it's fresh. I believe the owner was there the day we went and he was super friendly. The ambiance isn't really there but it's a really small space. There was enough room for like 4-5 of us to stand inside. Highly recommend ordering online and picking it up if you can. This is going to be a staple in the rotation when we want something healthy and clean but to also get our money's worth.

My wife recently placed an online order for this trending hibachi spot in my neck of the woods. I was parked outside the establishment as my wife was discussing the order details with me over the phone. As soon as the order was placed, I walked in to let them know that I'm waiting to receive my order. I asked the gentleman at the counter how long it would take to complete it and he said "7 minutes". Surely enough, after 7 minutes my order was ready. The order was completed correctly with the indicated modifications and allergy alerts. The place is mostly to go. They have some picnic tables with benches outside and a huge order window. On that day it was particularly hot out so their window was closed. Although inside was still relatively cool, considering that they have an open kitchen with two big flat tops blasting heat and it being so hot outside. My wife said the online order process was seamless, straight forward and user friendly. We both ordered their steak hibachi bowls which were generous in portion. The steak was soft and flavorful, we both opted for fried rice and that was tasty as well. The zucchini, onion and broccoli were cooked well and also had nice umami and texture. Nothing was mushy. This is considering that I drove home and the food was consumed about 45 minutes after picking it up. You certainly get a good amount of food for the price you pay and the quality is not sacrificed. I'll be returning to try some of their other offerings next time we're in the mood for hibachi.

LOVE this place. I have driven by this spot many times and was hesitant to try it. My husband tried and insisted that I do. There is no indoor seating so plan to grab to go or eat at a table outside. My steak bowl was amazing. You choose a base, protein, veggies, sauce and topping. Potion sizes were good! I will be back for sure!

It was our first time going here & it didn't disappoint. The food was good and give you a good portion. Service was fast but I had to take a 2 stars down because the owner kept rubbing his nose and not wearing a gloves while preparing our food. It's not very hygienic. Limited parking around the area.

Awesome hibachi with good fresh food and generous portions. It's a carry out joint. The yum yum sauce comes in regular and spicy, both add great flavor to any dish. Lots of customization in terms of ingredients to add. Simple yet, flavorful, and filling. A favorite as everyone can find something they like. Only minor draw back is no spicy house mustard sauce option.

Amazing! Fast and incredibly delicious. You have to go here. After discovering we have ordered here basically once a week. Definitely recommend the firecracker yum yum sauce. It really pulls it all together.

Specializing in the Japanese cooking method of hibachi, the restaurant's goal is to provide quick service without neglecting the flavors and quality of their dishes. The menu is all about customization. The three step process allows you to choose a protein, a base and toppings. Sides can also be purchased and consisted of Gyoza and miso soup, just to name a few. I ordered an eggplant bowl with fried rice, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, red onion, zucchini and bean sprouts. To add little kick, I added the spicy yum yum sauce. When I tell you that bowl was deep, it was deeeepp! I couldn't finish the bowl and ended up taking it home.

The food and service here is excellent. I have had the chicken and the shrimp and the salmon and all were excellent. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is fresh and I always feel as though I am eating healthy. They don't have any inside seating but there are picnic tables if you want to eat there or you can take it to go. This is a walk up and order restaurant. They have a few tables outside for you eat but no indoor seating. We ordered a variety of bowls and spring rolls. everything was great. you pick your protein your carb either rice or noodles and your sauce. It comes with a variety of sautéed veggies that you can customize. Portions are nice. Food is flavorful. Would probably return when I am in the area.

Decided to give this a try after seeing some good reviews and was very pleased with my experience here at Yum Yum. The Food: I went with the "Chicken Hibachi Bowl with white rice an all the free toppings." The quality of the chicken was perfect. Cooked properly and were nice chunks of chicken. Seasoned well and full of flavor. I also got a side of "Chicken Karaage" as well. The Karaage was fried well and crispy. The Service: Service was great! With it being a take out spot, I was able to order my meal at the front register and it came out in a timely manner. Staff here were also very friendly! The Atmosphere: The hibachi restaurant is mostly a take out spot, however there are some outdoor tables for you to sit at. But it's basically just a walk up kiosk and ordering type of deal. Overall, a 5/5! Good food that is quality, friendly staff, couldn't ask for more. I'll be back again for sure!

Really delicious and quick. The meat is tender, which is unusual at such a quick and affordable place. The veggies are fresh and the carrots in the fried rice give a nice texture contrast. The noodles are beyond good. When we order at work, I have several colleagues who place an order just for a side of the noodles to take home. Chicken Karaage is probably the best appetizer I have ever had anywhere. Friendly service completes the menu. All-around excellent place for takeout or to stay and eat at their outdoor dining area.

Food was delicious. Quality of steak was good. Portion was generous and taste was perfect. It wasn't too salty and the spicy yum sauce made it taste it even better. We did take out and the manager on duty explained the ordering process and how they grill their meats. Location is convenient with plenty of parking.

This place is a good location in the center of old town Ashburn. There was a small line but service moves quickly and the manager was friendly. The steak has tons of flavor as well as the chicken. We loved the mix of veggies and options for sauces. There's only outdoor picnic tables but it's perfect to enjoy your meal and watch bikes go by on the trail. Had takeout from this place. Very good selection of chicken,steak,shrimp,eggplant(rare for hibachi), among others. Overall, it's pretty good for the price. The sauces were pretty good, especially the spicy sauce.

I found this restaurant and I was SO excited to give it a try. Sadly, I didn't love it as much as i wanted to. My boyfriend and I found it a little underwhelming and both thought the fried rice didn't taste right. We placed an order for pick up and the staff was very friendly! The exterior is cute with available picnic tables nearby. The inside is tiny, so I recommend placing an order ahead and picking up!

Found this place on yelp, and decided to give it a visit based on the reviews! So glad that we did! This is by far the best hibachi I've ever had in my entire life! The food is so fresh and tasty, and is very quick! The owner and his staff are also extremely friendly and kind. I had the steak hibachi bowl as well as some spring rolls, and both were so yummy! I tried the traditional Yum Yum which was very good, but also gave the spicy Yum Yum a try, and it was also quite tasty. I will certainly be back and will let all my friends know how good it is!

Deliciously filling hibachi with fresh ingredients! This would absolutely be my go-to spot if it wasn't so far, but I make the drive out there every now and then. The chicken & shrimp combo is my favorite bowl. It's nice because they actually give you more than 4 pieces of shrimp. The one downside is that they don't have any indoor seating, so if the weather isn't great, you definitely have to take it to go. But if the weather is nice, they have some outdoor seating available. If you're in a hibachi mood, this is definitely a place to check out!

First time here. It was a great experience. Customer service was top-notch. We ordered a steak bowl, shrimp bowl, and a combo. As sides, we tried karagge, gyoza. It was all delicious. The area was cool and we ate outside. Perfect. Will come back soon. Highly recommended.

The food was yummy and the owner seemed very pleasant. For hibachi I wanted a bit more of a sear on the meats but I appreciated the fresh veg and delicious sauces. The spot itself seems like it would be a good hang out in the spring or summer. Definitely recommend it for a quick tasty meal!

I really love this place and i wish it was closer to me but anytime i find my way out there i have to stop here!! i've brought my family here and we sat outside when it was warmer. Hands down the best hibachi I've had in the area. The concept is great, the food is even better. You can taste the quality of every ingredient and the sauce pulls everything together perfectly. Side note: the spring rolls didn't make the car ride home as they were too delicious

Delicious food and so very aromatic! Sure, no indoor dining, but once you step outside of your car and smell the incredible scent, you are overwhelmed with an incredible urge to satisfy your hunger! This place hits the spot and will not leave you hungry at all! The service is quick and very friendly and you will not be disappointed! The food is fresh and so very healthy! I ordered the chicken and steak combo with veggies bowl with garlic sauce and rice noodles and my friend ordered the steak bowl with veggies with white rice bowl with yum yum sauce. We also ordered a side of the chicken fried dump kick which were also delicious! We will definitely be going back!!

Yes I'll agree with everyone on here, this place is 5 stars. The food is great. And there is so much of it. It was 3 meals for me, and I can eat. The star of the show was the dumplings. I didn't know dumplings could be that good. These dumplings are special. When I ate them I said "life changing". The price is incredibly reasonable as well. You are saving a lot of money not going to an indoor hibachi place and paying for the "show". If you like the food and don't care for the entertainment, go here.

Took a long flight from the west coast & was super hungry... because cheese and fruit on a 5 hour flight never really helps. Did some yelp research and ran across this gem of a place! Food is all carry out but they have outside seating available. Got the steak bowl and it was perfect and the portion size was on point. It was worth the 15 mins drive from the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful-- I'll be coming back.
