The fountain showcasing the Romanian architecture is treasure to eyes. If you are at Rome do visit it. This is a famous public square built on the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian. It is a major landmark and a hub for restaurants and pizzerias. Many restaurants in this area cater to tourists, but some are known for their authentic Roman cuisine and pizza. Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful and lively squares in Rome, known for its stunning Baroque architecture, fountains, and vibrant street performances. The atmosphere is always buzzing — with artists, musicians, and entertainers bringing the square to life. During our visit, a **ring dancer** was performing near the Fountain of the Four Rivers, and it added a magical touch to the experience. The grace and strength of the performance, set against the backdrop of centuries-old buildings and glowing evening lights, created an unforgettable moment. Tourists and locals alike stopped in awe, applauding as the performer spun and danced inside the ring with perfect rhythm and elegance. It’s more than just a historical site — Piazza Navona feels like an open-air theater where history and modern street art meet beautifully. Visit in the evening for the best ambiance and performances. Enjoyed a gelato, sit by a fountain, and soak in the energy.

The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi is breathtaking up close. Bernini’s sculptures feel alive, each river god full of movement and personality. The towering obelisk adds dramatic elegance, and the water’s sound brings calm to the lively Piazza Navona. It’s impossible not to stop, stare, and admire this masterpiece of Rome.

A true Baroque masterpiece by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, symbolizing four great rivers of the ancient world, the Nile, Ganges, Danube, and Río de la Plata. The dramatic sculptures, flowing water, and towering obelisk create a powerful sense of movement and artistry. Especially stunning at night when the fountain comes alive under soft lights in Piazza Navona.

Personally I liked this one better than the trevi Fountain. May be Caz it was comparatively less crowded. Also there's vendors surrounding this Fountain-from gelato to tiramisu. Bernini's creation is gorgeous up close.

Such a beautiful fountain area to visit. The architects so stunning and if you get there early in the morning you can relax and enjoy it without the crowds.

Bernini at his best. A wonderful fountain to marvel at in the Piazza Navona. Enjoy a stroll around it and pop into one of the restaurants for a spritz. Expensive but worth it for the view.

We absolutely loved the Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi! It’s honestly one of the most beautiful fountains we’ve ever seen. The details are incredible — every figure looks alive. The whole vibe in Piazza Navona makes it even better. Definitely one of those spots in Rome you can’t miss!

Located at the center of Piazza Navona. The fountain is dramatic, full of movement and symbolism. Each river god is sculpted with incredible detail and expression, surrounded by exotic animals and plants, while a towering ancient Egyptian obelisk rises at the center. It’s a breathtaking work of art that combines water, stone, and storytelling — a highlight of any visit to Rome. Whether you're admiring it by day or lit up at night, it leaves a powerful impression. **Tip:** Stand at different angles to catch the full beauty of each figure — and don’t forget to look up at the obelisk!
