"Belgium's Spring Tulip Garden Most garden-lovers have heard of the Dutch tulip garden, Keukenhof, a few hours north of Belgium. Few, however, have heard of Belgium's own wonderful spring tulip garden at Groot-Bijgaarden Castle. Also called Grand Bigard (in French), the castle gardens are home to 1.5 million spring bulbs, including tulips, hyacinths, crocus and daffodils. Parts of the castle are open to the public, during this time, and each room hosts a different flower display, such as an orchid exhibit in the chapel. Two large greenhouses, on the grounds, host exhibitions by local flower growers ranging from roses to lilies and even rare tropical blooms. It's a paradise for garden-lovers and photographers alike. You can even purchase bulbs to take home and plant for yourself."

It’s only open twice a year for the flowers in the spring and this time of year for the pumpkins. The building is worth a visit in itself a beautiful structure. The statues made with pumpkins and wooden frames are fun and spread out throughout the vast grounds. Imaginative and amusing.

The pumpkin sculptures are nice, and in the autumn setting the park is beautiful. The castle, gatehouse and tower are very old and nice to look at but you cannot go inside. Not even the tower even though it says that you can. The pumpkin carving seems a well organised and fun activity for the time of year. I was not happy to be told that the bathroom is paid, I had to organize cash and go back...just make it free, you're also serving food and drinks here.

Not a castle experience if that’s what you’re looking for. You pay to enter the gardens of a supposedly former castle, which is closed to the public and in very bad conditions. You pay €15 per adult and €8 per kid just to walk around the gardens, which is not any different to free public parks. But you’re not told this until you pay and get inside to experience the disappointment. Not worth it at all. My family and I were there during the autumn celebration, which is extremely overrated in social media for the pumpkins. I really felt it as a scam, even more because I let myself be influenced by so many people who claim in social media that this is a must visit. This is my very first negative review of a touristic place, and I feel the duty to let people know that it makes no sense to pay and visit this supposed castle.

🌷 Absolutely stunning during tulip season! The gardens at Groot-Bijgaarden Castle (Floralia Brussels) are bursting with color—perfectly arranged tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths in a beautiful castle setting. Great for a peaceful walk, family day out, or photography. Highly recommend visiting in April!

15 euro for walking in the park, and after that, you still need to pay 50 cent for toilet. Hellou ?! I have left a surprise in bushes - hell yeah Imo not worth at all

We visited from the UK on Good Friday, around an hour before closing, which was probably not enough time. However it was such a relaxing and beautiful place. We also bought some seasonal bulbs to plant back home. You should allow at least 2 hours maybe a bit more if you want to have a drink and sit down. Well worth a visit.

Amazing Castle for numerous events , we went for Floralia and Pumpkinmania , both were spectacular . Might want to bring some food and water with yourself as the line to buy some is quite long . And I would advise everyone to buy the tickets in advance to skip the entry lines .

We visited at the right time! The flowers were stunning. The grounds are manicured and pristine. Allow a minimum of 2 hours to still around. It’s worth the effort to go
