Probably the best unagi we had during our entire trip. Was a surprise find as we didn't intend to get a second lunch but the first lunch (barely counted as one) was so disappointing, and Fuji wasn't showing despite us climbing the hill, so this was a really great find. Was also very skeptical initially when I saw the ratings, but after trying it, definitely worthy.
Lovely unagi hitsumaboshi dish in the Fujiyoshida town. The unagi was grilled so well with a crispy skin but soft, tender flesh and then cut right in front of you before serving. You are also given some slices of yuzu, which when paired with the unagi, gives each bite a slight citrusy tang to brighten up the taste.
They had the wagyu option as well, but was not available when we went. Would have ordered the wagyu to try just to get a comparison. The staff were also very patient and helpful in addressing and guiding us in our dining experience.
