It's pretty nice since it got renovated. The vendors are pretty nice. There is not a lot of haggling. The vendors seem to work together. If you can't get something at one, they always direct you to someone else. It is clean compared to most. Be prepared to pay double or triple if they realize you are not a local.

Less busier than expected. Also a very good place for purchasing powder seasonings if you are taking them abroad. The north coast is one of the more expensive areas in Jamaica and prices are reflected in the market too. Had the unfortunate experience of watching the Police abusing their powers and damaging goods.

Our group visited the Ocho Rios Market at night while visiting Ocho Rios and all of the vendors were super nice and well educated on the local fruits they had to offer. I would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! We entered the market on Main Street as pictured.

Vendors were friendly, but everyone will ask you to come to their shop...lol

Nice market. Yes they do talk a good game and seem a but harrowing at times but member this is 3rd world country and no benefit system, money have fi make. Plus you can't say artwork and crafts are not original and nice. Just be mindful of prices and barter it can't hurt.

Was hoping for a good experience. This time of year is the slow season and folks are more pushy than expected. We had two guys following us and trying to get us to go to their business. It started to feel uncomfortable because they would not stop even though we said we are just looking and are not interested. We had to duck into another establishment to get away. They waited outside for us. At that point I asked the owner if there was a back way out. He said no but went out and yelled at the two men to give space. The two men just waited outside for us and pestered us when we exited.

Not the most welcoming environment or aesthetically pleasing, but good deals can be found throughout, if you know where to look.
