Our visit to Movida was on December 31 for the restaurant’s special new year eve menu, so it wasn’t exactly a typical meal.
The offering had multiple courses, all of which were tasty and good quality. The service was friendly and efficient, despite the unique pressure of serving the same dishes to multiple tables as quickly as the kitchen could prepare them.
The meal was a relaxed affair, and although we began eating at 21:00, the final course didn’t arrive until after we’d tackled our 12 grapes at midnight.
Although the restaurant was more or less full, most of the tables were occupied by couples who were able to enjoy a fairly intimate eating experience.
The one downside, possibly understandable in a tourist town like Dénia, was a pretty rowdy table of English people. There was also an English couple who clearly didn’t understand the concept of the evening and left early, complaining they hadn’t had all the dishes on the menu!
But overall, a fine dining experience by every measure.
