"The Radisson Blu brand may be known for its Scandinavian midcentury design, but the Royal Hotel, in the heart of Brussels , has a far older pedigree. In the soaring atrium at the heart of the art deco–inspired building sit the remains of the city’s first wall, originally constructed in the 12th century. This dichotomy between old and new persists throughout the luxury hotel, itself pulled in two directions as a business-focused hotel on the edge of the city’s historic center. The greenhouse-style restaurant and lounge surrounding the Romanesque wall have an Old World elegance to them, contrasting harmoniously with the sleek modernity of the glass ceiling and soaring geometric walls. Different rooms channel different parts of the hotel’s identity, some outfitted with midcentury Danish design–inspired furnishings, others with the wood and leather of a slick urban loft. Even the Michelin-starred restaurant vacillates, its decor taking inspiration from a refined 1930s private club while its cuisine reimagines Belgian seafood in avant garde ways."

"Impressive modern glass atrium, remains of the city’s fortifications, and extremely comfortable suites and guestrooms. Breakfast room adorned with wooden railway sleepers. A contemporary style brasserie illuminated by natural light through the glass roof." - Tablet Hotels

We chose this hotel as it is a walking distance from Grand place and other attractions of Brussels. It turned out to be good decision. It is not so much on crowded street and still walkable. ||||Hotel has good ambience. Rooms are good, clean and has everything that you need. You get good sized room with hot water kettle, coffee machine, Steam Iron with stand etc. Overall room feels very premium. There is a minibar also. You may naturally feel that you can store recently bought Belgian chocolates here. But you can't. It seems it is against hotel regulation to store anything in that minibar :-(||||Tip for food: Don't bother paying for breakfast or any other meal in hotel. There are amazing varieties of food outlets with less than 5 minutes of walk. Hotel has very limited food menu. Vegetarians have choice of exactly 1 in their menu.

Great hotel with good size modern rooms; good sleep quality; funky bar and great restaurant. We found breakfast a little chaotic as a lot of people in a small place but food quality was excellent. Good location for Grand Place and train station. A bit of noise from outside ( opposite food hall) on one night but as a light sleeper this was not insurmountable. Would I stay again? Yes for the right price.

I booked a Junior Suite, but the room was extremely outdated compared to the modern lobby. The staff were shockingly rude for a 5-star hotel. The AC barely worked, even though I confirmed by email beforehand that it would be functional. Upon arrival, the duty manager simply said, “All of Belgium is like this,” instead of admitting the false confirmation. Reception also added a false charge to my account and showed zero concern about refunding it. When I asked to speak with the General Manager, I was told, “He comes whenever he wants and might not come tomorrow.” Completely unprofessional. Worst of all, my jacket was stolen from inside my room, and the staff showed no care or accountability. I should add that if you ask the concierge (he was a Moroccan man) for a cab, he would book you a taxi driver that charged me £40, and £15 for the same trip! When I raised this up to him, he said it is up to the driver. I saw him talking to the driver in Moroccan language before I took the ride so he might be up to this with him. A professional hotel would have investigated this and took responsibility, but it seems the staff are not encouraged to put in the work and barely reach minimum for whatever reason. This place is nowhere near a 5-star experience — rude staff, poor facilities, dishonest communication, and no security. Avoid at all costs

We did not feel it was a Five stars hotel rather than 4 stars. Noteworthy details: 1- they don’t allow you to use the fridge in the room! So if you have any medicine or something you need to give to them at the lobby. 2- the AC is not functioning and we opened the window for ventilation. 3- overall furniture at the lobby or in the room is really outdated 4- the service of luggage man is sometimes not available so you need to bring your staff by yourself. 5- the location is excellent.

Great hotel, great location and great service. Couldn’t fault our stay. Lobby was beautiful. The rooms aren’t brand new, you can tell they are a few years old, but does not impact the 5 star rating I would give. Rooms were clean and basic amenities. Nothing standout. We booked the standard room, room size was HUGE! Enough to lay down 2 large suitcases plus that much more room to walk around the room. Really each to get a taxi from the door, and not have to drag your luggage down the cobble stone road. Short work to everything you need. Would stay again. Hotel was right opposite an amazing food hall ‘Wolf’ making it so each to grab a drink or food, especially for families.

Google
We really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Collection Grand Place Brussels. The location is absolutely amazing, right in the heart of the city, close to everything we wanted to see. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay smooth and comfortable.||The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options to start the day. The only minor inconvenience was some noise from nearby traffic at night, but other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

I love Radisson network, I am part of Radisson Rewards that is genuinely good loyalty program. This hotel is super well located next to Grand Place and entire old town, breakfasts and dinners are spot on, with amazing food and good service. I would only find our room disappointing. We got a free upgrade to a suite but it was facing the closed patio so we couldn’t open windows and reliance on the loud ventilation made it worst experience than expected.

We stayed their over the past weekend. We arrived and so fa so good. During checkin we were assisted by Lauren or Laura. She had the worst attitude for someone working in customer service. That unfortunately set the tone for our stay at the Radisson. the rooms were mid for the price you pay. All in all. We would not entertain going there again.
