"A Piece of Pagoda Paradise A journey to Son Tra Peninsula is a must for many reasons, not least the opportunity to visit Linh Ung Pagoda. The temple is the largest in Danang and is spectacularly located on a knoll with fantastic views back towards China Beach and the Marble Mountains. It is impossible to miss the pagoda as it is located right next door to the giant white Goddess of Mercy statue."

Oh my gosh—Linh Ung Pagoda (Lady Buddha) is absolutely beautiful. This was the perfect way to spend sunset—peaceful, grounding, and quietly stunning. The views are incredible, and it’s an easy taxi ride up, which makes it very accessible. A few practical notes that are worth knowing: it can get cold and windy at the top, and if it rains, the marble stairs get very slippery—so go slow and wear good shoes. Also, shoes must be removed to enter the sanctuary area, so wear something easy to slip on and off. There’s a lot to see here. If you actually take your time and explore, plan for 1–2 hours easily. Peaceful, beautiful, and well worth the visit. Don’t rush this one. Bonus tip: the entrance to Monkey Mountain (Son Tra Peninsula) is right before the pagoda, so you could absolutely make a half-day of it if you want to keep going—add a few more hours and turn it into a full outing.

Came here at 14:00 today and the weather was surprisingly cold for Da Nang, with a strong, cool wind blowing in from the sea and the ocean looking quite rough and grey instead of the usual tropical turquoise. Honestly, it felt more like a dramatic movie scene than a beach day! But wow, that only made Lady Buddha even more impressive. The giant white statue standing tall against the moody sky and crashing waves was incredibly powerful and atmospheric, almost mystical. The chill in the air and the wild ocean actually added to the spiritual feeling of the place; it felt like she was calmly watching over a stormy sea. The temple grounds were still peaceful, the gardens beautiful, and we had plenty of space to walk around without big crowds (probably thanks to the cooler weather). Bring a light jacket if you’re visiting in the afternoon during this season! Cold, windy, ocean not pretty today? Didn’t matter one bit. Linh Ung Pagoda and Lady Buddha are still 100% worth it. One of the most memorable stops in Da Nang! 🪷❄️🌊

I loved that the atmosphere here doesn’t feel like a museum, but like a real monastery — peaceful, harmonious, quiet. I recommend coming without a group or guided tour and exploring the temples on your own. The complex is full of details you’ll want to look at closely, and little corners you’ll feel drawn to enter. It’s a place that brings both beauty and a sense of inner calm and balance

The view you will never find anywhere else on earth. It's so natural there are safe wild habitats such as monkeys. Very walkable. People who loves hiking 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♀️ walks from the the bottom to the top. AND the best part yet ... it's free. No tourist traps or scams. You will find locals people coming here to 🙏 pray.

Beautiful scenic spot with no admission fees. Be careful of the monkeys especially when sitting below the large overhanging trees. They apparently will jump onto your back. Not aggressive though. Also cell signal is not strong at the top. It might be hard to call for a Grab car unless you walk a bit down. Beware of the unmarked taxi drivers waiting to rip you off. They'll ask for more than what the Grab app shows.

The Lady Buddha statue (Tượng Quan Thế Âm Bồ Tát) is one of the most impressive landmarks in Da Nang — and the entrance is completely free. The area is peaceful, beautifully maintained and offers stunning panoramic views of the coastline and the city. The statue itself is massive and truly breathtaking. A perfect spot for photos, a relaxing walk, and a bit of calm away from the busy city. Definitely worth a visit.

This pagoda is truly a beautiful place and one of the most impressive landmarks in the region. It is located on the Son Tra Peninsula. The complex is huge, very well-maintained, and admission is free. The absolute highlight is the giant "Lady Buddha" (Quan Âm) statue, which, at 67 meters tall, is the tallest in Vietnam and can be seen from many parts of the city. Besides the impressive statue, the site has beautiful gardens, various temples, and offers a spectacular panoramic view of the coast and the entire city. It is truly well worth the visit.

Linh Ung Pagoda is an absolute must-see when visiting Da Nang! The site is home to the stunning, towering Lady Buddha statue, which is breathtaking. More importantly, the pagoda offers incredible panoramic views of the entire city, My Khe Beach, and the ocean. It's a beautiful, peaceful, and highly spiritual place. Remember to dress modestly. Highly recommended for the amazing photo opportunities
