The Brick Room Cafe is such a cute spot! I tried their winter special First Bite Matcha and it was genuinely an experience drink. They instructed me to pour the matcha in and sip it without mixing, so every sip had slightly different notes 😋 The flavours were super unique and delicious, I picked up notes of apple, strawberry, cream, and matcha. It was really enjoyable and also so aesthetically pleasing. I’d love to come back and try more drinks here! 😋🍵

I visited both their locations - the one on Temperance St and the one located in the Path. The location on Temperance St has a much brighter, airier vibe and is good for chatting with friends. There’s a row of bar seating plus some 2 seaters throughout the store. Trie “brown noise” from the winter specialty menu and it was very good! The genmaicha had a nice, roasted flavor but it wasn’t bitter, and the houjicha cream was creamy but not overwhelming. It was the perfect balance. Def recommend!! Have also tried the houjicha latte here - it tasted good, but not sure if I want to pay close to $10 again. Overall the prices at this place are pretty steep (I think one of the top in Toronto), but I think their specialty drinks are worth a try.

Great decor and atmosphere, a combination of Japanese and Scandinavian accents provide a quiet and chill atmosphere to relax in. The staff was also friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. We tried two Christmas specials (strawberry matcha and black sesame matcha). The blending of the subtle flavours was done very well, and much effort was put into presentation, but the price was quite steep ($10 before tax, so after tax it came to be $24 for two drinks). I personally find it difficult to justify, and will probably go for the regular coffees next time round.

This café is a must-visit for serious coffee lovers and is conveniently located with two spots nearby. My experience was exceptional: the owner personally made my drink, and my Flat White was absolute perfection. The quality is outstanding, the espresso was rich and they offer great varieties of espresso beans. The staff is great ; the baristas are highly skilled in their craft and provide warm customer service. Their space is very clean and, most importantly, is a refreshing laptop-free café. This policy creates a wonderful atmosphere focused entirely on enjoying your coffee and having good conversations. Highly recommended if you want the best brew and a chance to truly connect.

Drinks are absolutely delicious although on the pricey end (taste wise - one of the best in the city in my opinion). Definitely a “treat yourself” type of beverage spot, but their menu consistently rotates and is a great spot for a chat in the financial core, especially on the weekends! Generally clean and cozy ambiance. I would say the tables can be cleaned a bit more however especially in between guests coming in and out.

I decided to try The Brick Room for its matcha and patio. Upon entering, the decor felt cozy and calm, and the staff greeted me right away to take my order. I went with a classic matcha latte and a croissant. The matcha was served in a glass instead of a coffee cup, which was a nice touch. It was delicious, smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Unfortunately, the croissant was disappointing. It tasted more like bread and didn’t seem very fresh, which I didn’t enjoy. That’s the main reason for the four-star rating. The back patio, however, was lovely, quiet, with well-arranged tables and chairs. We visited on a Saturday, but I can imagine it gets busier on weekdays since it’s right across from the Deloitte building. Overall, it’s a pretty, charming, and cozy café. I’ll definitely return to try their other drinks, just not the croissant.

My husband and I tried the brick room today for the first time. I have never tried matcha and ordered one of their pistachio matcha specials that was artfully made and delicious. My husband got the pour over coffee that was fresh with lovely notes throughout. Service start to finish was incredibly thoughtful and courteous and the emphasis is really placed on high quality drinks. I see other reviews complaining about the price but I think culturally we are confused if we think it’s socially acceptable to pay outrageous amounts of money for cocktails but not high quality coffee & matcha.

The service at Brick Room is one of the friendliest I have experienced. Tried both their locations in Toronto- a very good flat white and tried one of their seasonal cold drinks- Thai T Campfire (hope I got the name right). This seasonal drink was fantastic and really an experience!
