I decided to try The Brick Room for its matcha and patio. Upon entering, the decor felt cozy and calm, and the staff greeted me right away to take my order. I went with a classic matcha latte and a croissant.
The matcha was served in a glass instead of a coffee cup, which was a nice touch. It was delicious, smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
Unfortunately, the croissant was disappointing. It tasted more like bread and didn’t seem very fresh, which I didn’t enjoy. That’s the main reason for the four-star rating.
The back patio, however, was lovely, quiet, with well-arranged tables and chairs. We visited on a Saturday, but I can imagine it gets busier on weekdays since it’s right across from the Deloitte building.
Overall, it’s a pretty, charming, and cozy café. I’ll definitely return to try their other drinks, just not the croissant.
