DO NOT BOOK WITH WIMCO
My boyfriend and I had been planning a trip to St. Barths for weeks and reserved a villa called “The View” for the dates December 23rd through January 3rd. We paid the required deposit via American Express and were waiting to be contacted to submit the remaining balance. However, despite multiple attempts to follow up, we never received any communication or instructions to complete the payment.
With less than 20 hours before our scheduled departure, we contacted the phone number provided. The representative who answered stated that she did not have access to our reservation and, after hearing our situation, simply responded, “That’s too bad,” offering no assistance or direction.
My boyfriend continued emailing repeatedly, yet we never received a response from anyone at WIMCO. As a direct result, our reservation was never finalized, and our trip was effectively canceled at the last minute. We also incurred substantial financial losses, including the non-refundable deposit for our private jet.
WIMCO’s complete lack of communication and failure to handle our reservation directly resulted in the cancellation of our long-planned vacation and significant financial loss.
