"It takes a serious zip line to gain notice in Whistler. Ziptrek launched itslines above Fitzsimmons Creek long before the bobsleds started rumbling down the Sliding Centre or the Peak 2 Peak Gondola began soaring overhead. Though zip lines are as familiar as breakfast buffets in resorts today, the Bear and Eagle lines here were the first in North America. Ziptrek hasrecently strung together the continent’s longest line, the Sasquatch, which is 1.25 miles. Sasquatch zip linerscan reach 75mph while sailing from Blackcomb Mountain to Whistler Mountain. As part of your experience, you'llstart witha comprehensive interpretive nature tour ofthe Coast Mountains rain forest. You can then review your notes while cruising among the eagles high above the treeline."

Google
Great experience doing the Eagle Tour. 5 zip lines total with the first being 800m. Beautiful scenic views along the walking trails and obviously on the zip line. It’s an adrenaline rush, but I’d say is approachable for most people. There were a few in our group that were nervous and by the end they were bombing along!

Justin E.

Google
Awesome experience. We did the Winter Apres (night) tour and would recommend to anyone coming to Whistler. The guides, Seb and Kayla, made the experience so much better - they were so knowledgeable not just about the area and zipping between Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains, but lots of Canada in general.

Katherine A.

Google
My Eagle Tour with Ziptrek was an unforgettable experience, made truly special by our incredible guides, Sasha and Jacob. The experience itself was exhilarating. Being able to twirl around, hang upside down, and even kick off backwards really shows just how safe and well-designed the course is. That sense of freedom and trust made the adventure even more fun. Beyond the ziplines, the journey was magical. I felt my inner child come alive—frolicking through a winter wonderland and perched high in a treehouse, surrounded by nature. What made the experience even more meaningful was the educational aspect. Learning about how incredibly clean the air is in this temperate rainforest—one of the few remaining on the planet—gave me a deeper appreciation for where I was and how special this place truly is.

Google
We did the Eagle Tour for our 20th Anniversary. The guides were excellent at putting my fears aside. If you’re nervous, plan to go first. It just takes 2 seconds of courage to get started. Enjoy the beautiful mountains, trees and rivers. I felt completely secure and safe in the harness and the breaking system was quite smooth. It is worth the experience and if I ever go back to Whistler, I will be doing the Sasquatch!!! I am not adventurous but this was a highlight of our vacation. I also recommend renting or bringing a Go-pro. We have some stunning footage and great memories.

Google
Truly worth trying out at least once! Did the Eagle Tour with my 14yo daughter. Had a blast. I think all of the families in our group had a great time. I was glad to have booked this one instead of the Sasquatch Tour because the five lines on this tour were a great introduction to zip-lining. Having five lines also made it possible to try different things out as the tour progressed. Staff were pretty good, though you did get the feeling that some of them were perhaps a little hung over, as we did the tour on a Saturday.

Jase V.

Google
The Eagle zip line tour with Nada and Jacob was a ton of fun and educational too. We learnt about the forest we were zip lining through along with other flora, fauna and the native people that inhabit the area. Highly recommend hiring a go-pro for the trip. Great quality video and photos and the money you spend goes to charities in the region. These Aussie fellas will hopefully be back soon!

Google
Amazing adrenaline fun! Professional fun staff that focus on safety. The trek in the forest (eagle tour) is informative and beautiful, and the Sasquatch tour is a thrill in the rain, clouds, or sunshine (been on it multiple times). Do this when you visit Whistler!

Breanna C.

Google
My boyfriend booked the Tree Trek Tour as I wasn’t sure about zip lining just yet. Our guide, Mason was absolutely amazing and gave us all the pros about the different zip lines and how they all work. She was the best part of the tour for sure. We left the trek with so much new knowledge of the area and a need to try the zip lines 😊

Yelp
Our family of 7 had a fantastic experience doing the Bear Tour. Perfect activity for the three generations to create shared memories! Easy check in, qualified guides and beautiful scenery while "flying" over the river.

Yelp
Went on the Eagle tour. Really enjoyed the first zipline which let you race against a friend. Website says you must be able to hike but it's quite an easy walk. However you do end up doing a lot of standing, especially when the group before us got delayed when someone got stuck! The views were superb and the guides were great!

Erin M.

Yelp
I am scared of heights, but my husband and son love all things adrenaline. I booked the Sasquatch and had an awesome experience. Jacob was our guide and made everything fun, exciting and safe. He was truly the best. The experience was thrilling and I would definitely do it again.

Anna G.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience zip lining with zip trek. Seamless check in and smooth transitions from one line to the next. Sasha and Lukas were top notch guides. They had great energy and made our experience even more fun! Those two need a raise, they are representing ziptrek well!
google avatar

Yelp
A bit of a chaotic start due to the lifts and the activity started nearly two hours late and included an unplanned snow shoe hike to the start point. We also didn't do the first zip line for which we did get a refund. That said the other four zip lines were great and the staff was amazing. They did their best to make sure we were having a great time! The guy from Leeds UK was awesome! Would probably do it again.

Yelp
We did the winter apres tour at night and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The views are absolutely stunning and the team is super knowledgeable and make the whole thing that much more fun. Highly recommend if you're in Whistler.

Sharon C.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Tour guides were entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. Thanks Ziptrek Ecotours!

Yelp
Amazing!!! Highly suggest the Eagle Tour even if its your first time ziplining. It was my family and mines first and we elected to do that tour. Out of the 4 I am the one who don't ride roller coaster and terrified of heights, so if I can do it anyone can. Tips from a first timer: #1: Arrive there an hour before your schedule time. Lots of eateries at Whistler Village to eat before you go. #2: Don't forget to ask the check in crew for the Gopro. Apparently we have to ask or you don't get to rent one. Once you are on the gondola and on your way up, it's too late to rent one. #3: Bring layer clothes, especially one with zippers to hold your phone camera if you plan on taking photos along the way. #4: Wear comfort but not loose clothing as the equipment you put on is bulky and for guys can ride up ya. Think yoga pants for the ladies. #5: Don't forget to tip your tour guides. I don't think most people do. We were in a group with 2 more families and we were the only one who tip them. If you liked your experience, give these gals/guys a few bucks a person in your party to show your gratitude. Last-- enjoy the moment!!!

Yelp
We had a fabulous time with Claudia and Murray on the Eagle Tour! They were fun educational, helpful and entertaining. The zip lines were a blast! All around great trip! Thanks Claudia and Murray!

Yelp
The most amazing zip line experience ever! The Sasquatch trip was so exhilarating. I would absolutely do it again! Highly recommend if you visit Whistler.

Yelp
My 1st time zip lining. It was fantastic! Andrew and Jack were great guides! They gave perfect instructions and safety was primo. Breathtaking location!! 5 lines in 3hrs. Well worth it.

Yelp
Return visit, did the Eagle Tour which means 5 ziplines. Not the length of Sasquatch but fun. Our guides Emily and Erin were super fun and informative. Before I turn 60, may want to do Sasquatch again.

Steve F.

Yelp
We have a gorgeous June day to go ziplining. These Ziptrek folks are amazing. They were knowledgeable and informative. They made sure we were both safe and able to have as much fun as possible. It was a fabulous experience and we look forward to going on another zipline adventure on our next visit to Whistler!

Denise S.

Yelp
What a fun experience! 2nd time on the Eagle Tour, Friendly & knowledgeable guides, would recommend!

Rachel B.

Yelp
Who knew ziplining in the snow could be so much fun?! With the right (WARM) clothing and the right (FUN, FUNNY, COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL) guides in Sasha and Lukas, we had an absolute blast careening through the air in the beautiful cedar forests. Sasha and Lukas were confidence-inspiring and good natured, keeping things entertaining and lighthearted while always maintaining safety as priority #1. Everyone in our group had a great time. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Amazing tour and guides! Very professional and safe. The ecotourism aspect was also a plus.

Yelp
We had an amazing "Bear" ZipLine tour in Whistler. Our guides William and Talia were phenomenal. William was witty and fun. They both inspired us to zip upside down on the final ZipLine and get some Poutine at a great local spot. The tour was as informative as it was fun. Our kids (11 & 13) loved the wildlife insights and we appreciated the simple steps for conservation. We highly recommend this company and this tour.

N. R.

Yelp
My 8yo and I did the Bear Trek when we visited Whistler this past summer because it was our first time. The guides were great, and were meticulous about safety protocols. Next time we'll try one of the more challenging routes!

T H.

Yelp
We took the Eagle Zipline tour on June 18 and had a wonderful time, thanks to three very capable assistants, Nicole, Harry, and Kristy, who took very good care of us. They were courteous, positive, helpful, encouraging, and most of all, very patient with us as senior citizens. You should be proud of them for representing your company. They are nice assets for anyone taking a Zipline tour.

Michael L.

Yelp
First off, I am pretty fearful of heights, so this was my first time ziplining. I did the Eagle tour with friends in April and had a blast. Honestly the bridges between platforms freaked me out more than the ziplines. The fourth zipline, for me, was the most aggressive, you start from an exposed, high platform, no subtilty on this one! Staff was great, felt relatively safe.

Stan G.

Yelp
amazing experience, worth every penny. breathtaking views and great fun. Naomi and Isaac are amazing instructors/guides
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
What a great experience. We had a very large party, 3 families. Ziptrek was able to take our kids in one group (oldest kids were 18 y/o able to be "responsible" for the rest) while all the adults went in another. Kids and adults both had a blast. Tour Guides in both groups Keek, Emily & Spencer and Katie were great and tailored the experience to the audience they had. Our group had the benefit of finishing off the last couple runs in twilight and our last zip of the tour in darkness as we approached Whistler Village, what an experience. Highly recommend this tour felt very safe, and the professionalism of the staff and facilities instills all confidence for any of those that may be nervous about fun on a zipline tour. So much fun. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The Sasquatch line is Phenomenal! We did the five lines a few years ago and in many try's all over this country we never found anything to compare.....until we came back here. Sasquatch beats it! If this is your first time, do the five lines, but only if you can stay another day and do Sasquatch too. Also, see if you can get Chris as your guide - great guy. Great advisor, solid leadership skills, and does everything he can to insure your good time. Also, had an incident down in the village during our tour and the poor guy had to keep 8 of us appeased for a couple extra hours.

SharonandMatt R.

Yelp
Our family of 4 had a blast. Our guides, Harry & David, were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back to do it again!

Brandon T.

Yelp
All of it was amazing. We took the Sasquatch zip. Weather was great. Guide was great. Experience was amazing! It was money well spent. I wanted to do it again but I was overruled by my company to do something else.

Julia B.

Yelp
Tom and Anna made the zip lining experience incredible. Couldn't have asked for better guides on our eagle tour last month.
google avatar

Gini R.

Yelp
I would highly recommend the Ziptrek Ecotours in Whistler, BC. Myself and two friends signed up for the Eagle tour. One of us had zip line experience. I for one was moving out of my comfort zone. Our crew for the trek were the three J's. JD, Jess and Justine. They made what could have been frightening, very fun. They were very professional and experienced. Their ecology stops were interesting and informative. From three (young) 70 year olds, do it! From the second you let go, you'll be glad you did.
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
This was my second experience with the Whistler Ziptrek Ecotours, and it was amazing! Of course the views were beautiful, but the staff really help make the experience great. They are personable and the tour guides, specifically Mel and Talia, took great care of our group, encouraged at the right times, and threw in the occasional corny joke. Overall, it was the perfect start to the day and I cannot wait to go back!

Susanna B.

Yelp
We had the most incredible time on our zip lining tour! Our guides Anna and Andrew were amazing.

Kim H.

Yelp
Our whole group had great fun! The excellent guides (young and cute) were very helpful. Breathtaking views. We felt secure and safe the whole time, and the stairs were easy to navigate.

Nikola R.

Yelp
My family and I took the Eagle tour (5 zip lines, 4 tree bridges) last weekend and we waere greeted by two great instructors, Al and Felix. They thoroughly explained all security details and what can be expected so were totally prepared for what was coming. And that was a great adrenaline rush and super thrill. The lines were amazing. Fast and reasonably long. It was a great way to traverse Whistler differently. The tree bridges, the views and a lot of interesting educational info along the way were cherries on the top. We all enjoyed the rides (especially the upside-down ones) and we're already looking at the next one (Sasquatch). Big thanks to our instructors Al and Felix for ensuring our safety along the way and showing us cool tricks. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I loved the zipping experience. the guides were friendly and knowledgeable. the info they shared about the forest, geography and history was impressive. from start to finish it was a a very fun adventure. Thank you Justine and Connor!

Renee B.

Yelp
Awesome tour! Highly recommend. The three hours flew by. The tour guides were thorough, fun and kept us safe. Would definitely go again. Thank you

Yelp
An amazing experience in the snow and cold. Our guides, Ellie and Kirsty were great. They keep the education going the whole trip and the zips themselves are spectacular.
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first time zip lining and we had a great time! We did the Eagle with Peak to peak gondola because it had 5 zip lines instead of 1 long thrill zip line. First off the P2P was amazing and the views were spectacular. There were several additional lifts once you were up the mountain. They took you higher and our favorite was the one up to 7th heaven which was apropos. You could easily spend more than the 4 hours that we did looking at everything on those mountains. I actually wanted to spend more time up there but we didn't want to miss out on our zip tour time. Zip lining was such a thrill and the guides were super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the views, hike, and head rush once they taught us how to flip upside down. There was a little bit of waiting while we did paperwork, getting fitted with the harness, and on the zip lines because everyone in the group goes 1 at a time but we thoroughly enjoyed this and we're in no rush for it to be over. I think there were 8 of us plus the 2 guides. All in all it was awesome and I would recommend. They even have Groupon which has to be rsvp the day before. We did the after 4 to save a little bit of money which ended up being perfect as far as the weather.

Brad V.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time. We did the night zipline. Snow covered trees at dusk. Magical memories that I will have forever. Guides are knowledgeable and experienced. Thank you for the experience.

Dannielle I.

Yelp
Amazing adventure and beautiful views! So fun learning about sustainability and the Canadian environment. The runs were incredible, and it was still fun even in the winter cold

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on the Eagle Tour last weekend! Our tour guides were Tim and Baptiste. They were professional, friendly, and all-around great guys to spend a few hours with during our tour! We were lucky enough to be the only two attendees on this particular tour, so we got a few extra lines in and wrapped everything up in about two hours. The views during winter are gorgeous! We felt comfortable and safe, and most importantly of all, we had a LOT of fun! I would love to come back during the summer and try the Sasquatch!

John W.

Yelp
The Sasquatch is simply best Zip line that I have ridden. Been on at least 20 different Zip lines, and this is simply the best. From the scenery, the staff, and the line itself - if you are a fan of Zip lines, you gotta ride this. Even though I've been on many Zips, the initial jump made my son and I pause. And the scenery is absolutely stunning. From the forest, to the lakes, the view itself is worth the price of admission. My son and I loved it. Gotta thank my wife for letting us go.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Fantastic time with great guides! Highly recommend. You will do a bit of hiking between spots, but it's not hard. And it's absolutely gorgeous walking though the forest. The guides share info about the area along the way too. Zip lines are fast and fun!
google avatar

Jenna K.

Yelp
This was my first time zip-lining, and I'm not sure this experience will ever be topped! Amazing is an understatement. Although I had never done this before, we decided to book the Eagle. I am so glad we did- based on other reviews I was worried the Bear would be too slow paced. I am terrified of heights, but that was not an issue here at all. Also need to mention that our tour guides, Yule and Jordy, were AMAZING. They totally made the whole experience. I would recommend Ziptrek to anyone visiting Whistler!
google avatar

Sara F.

Yelp
On a winter weekend trip to Whistler, husband and I embarked on The Eagle Tour with Dave and Troy. We had both gone zip-lining before, but felt it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon - whether you're a beginner or a zip enthusiast~! The Eagle Tour contains longer and higher ziplines than The Bear Tour (which seemed more family-geared) and the perfect amount of time to be in the cold weather, about 2 hours. Make sure to wear all your snow gear, and with the walking and adrenaline-zippin' you'll be better than fine! Dave and Troy were an awesome team and took the experience to the next level. Dave was hilarious and described what it's like to work and live in Whistler; Troy's crystal-clear blue eyes showed complete sincerity as he talked about the care Ziptrek has for the environment and the way it works with the eco-system to replace all resources used. (There are 5 interesting steps, just don't quiz me on them now..) The lines themselves were just amazing in the crisp white snow atop green trees with grey-white skies. My favorite was the 4th line, in which you zip through trees, into the clearing over skiiers and snowboarders, and back into the trees. SO COOL. I highly recommend Ziptrek for your next winter Whistler adventure!!
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
Don't we all have dreams where we imagine we can fly? Well, if you're not afraid of heights then you should give this a try. The funny part is I'm very safety conscious, but once I knew I was in good hands and they have all the safety controls in place, I totally let go and just loved the whole experience. They operate their tours 365 days a year and you take a van from the village up to their location in the trees. On the way you get a little ecology lesson, since this is an eco-tour, and also pass some of the Olympic venues they'll be using in 2010. I did the Ziptrek Eagle Tour and there were about 12 people from ages 10 to 70. For most it was their first zipline experience. What was interesting is the more you weigh the faster you go, so those that are under 115 pounds are more likely to get stuck on the line (this doesn't happen often). You can start at age 6, but kids under a certain weight ride tandem. You get basic instruction about how to go faster or slower based on your comfort level, brake at the end of the line, and flip upside down or do more acrobatic moves if that's your thing. By the end I was zooming down the lines upside down with no hands and was begging for more.

Grace R.

Yelp
Had a great time ziplining the Sasquatch! Appreciated the attention of our guide, Megan, to safety protocols and encouraging comments. We had an interesting intl group - so fun! My first zip line experience but certainly not the last! Thanks Ziptrek and Megan!!

Yelp
Eagle tour was fun! Friendly booking staff and guides. James and Jakub ("freestyle" specialist) are entertaining, informative, and professional. Eagle tour has 5 lines. 3 of which are decent length. You also get a short hike and walks across short suspension bridges. This company also claims to be Eco-friendly and altruistic. Recommended fur anyone taking a break from riding or needing to kill 2.5 hrs. Booked through WhistlerBlackcomb site and got 20% off (about $94/person). There are coupons for 10% off at various retailers in the village too. Minimum age 6 and 75lbs. Max 350lbs?

Yelp
I'm so glad we decided to go ziplining in Whistler! It was such a great and unique experience. I'd never done it before and this was a great place for me to pop my ziplining cherry. We were up in Whistler for a company trip and this was one of the activities to do on Saturday. We signed up for the 10:50 a.m. slot and thought that was a great choice because it was early enough so that we still had a few hours left in the afternoon afterwards to walk around the village. Our guides, Bjorn and Sam, were fantastic! They were very friendly, helpful and just overall great guides for our group. The nice aspect about the adventure was that we learned about the rain forest and history of the area. A portion of our money that we paid for the experience also goes to some global nonprofit organizations, which is nice to know. We took on the Eagle trek and loved it! Though it took awhile waiting for everyone to zip down individually, it was a lovely day and enjoyable nonetheless. There were 5 lines for the Eagle trek and the second to last one was my favorite. It felt the longest and had the most comprehensive views of the forest and it was really fast! Faster the better for a greater adrenaline rush. Overall, the trip took about three hours and was really worth the time, money and company!

Nancy S.

Yelp
This was such a fun adventure. The staff was friendly, professional and gave tips on some fun things to do while zipping if you wanted. It was beautiful and we got to see parts of Whistler from a vantage point (in the tree tops) that we never would have otherwise. The guides had interesting information to share about the area while we were on route. The group was small enough that there was not a ton of waiting time. If you are on the fence, I say go for it. It is well worth the time and money.

KJ B.

Yelp
We did the Eagle tour today. We were lucky enough to have it just be our party with 3 guides. The zip-lines were amazing..some of the most exhilarating I have very experienced. The guides, too, were wonderful and along the way they shared information about the ecosystem in Whistler. It was an just a wonderful few hours in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I go zip-lining whenever possible and so I have been on lots of tours with some good guides, but Sean and Rich went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel safe and teach us some cool tricks, too! Great sales staff, too. Liv was so fun and friendly on the phone and in person, even more charming! They have several tours from which to choose and are all about not harming the environment. They have stopping mechanisms on the lines so you just relax and enjoy your zipping and remember, they work hard so don't be cheap when tipping
