A shell collector's dream. Shells for all ages, all levels, and interests. Even if you're not a shell collector, it's a place to see. As a shell collector for over 65 years, I saw some shells that are collectors' dreams. Excellent variety, quality, and inventory. Lots of specimen shells for the serious collector too. Great staff, great location, and lots of parking. Take your time strolling the aisles and displays. Everything is clean and well organized. No wonder it's been around for 70 years.

I have been going to The Shell Shop every time I visit Morro Bay since I was a child. I have fond memories of my parents taking my siblings and I there and letting us pick out our favorite shells. Still to this day I always pick the same one. Definitely worth your stop!

So many beautiful seashells . Never seen colorful and different odd shapes before. I saw big one that my Mom used to have for decoration and it cost more than 200 bucks too much for me but I enjoy just looking at them. Staff are also nice and friendly.

Owners grandchild couldn't care less about the shells or customer service. She broke the shells I selected for purchase because she simply did not care about the product, cranking them together several times, pulling her keys through the spines breaking one. Manager mother never offered an apology or to address the attitude of her couldn't care less child. Been going here almost 40 years and always had a great experience until now. Good luck staying in business with this attitude and behavior.
