Fairly priced, authentic Chinese food and great service. We went on a Friday night around 6 and were seated immediately. We ordered mostly noodle dishes this time, but on a previous visit, the other dishes were good too. We were attended to quickly and the food came out within 5 minutes. The signature beef noodles were very good and flavorful, with a good amount of meat. The seafood noodle also came with a lot of shrimp, and the broth was flavorful. The pork & shrimp dumpling and wonton soups were delicious as well. The beef brisket noodles were also good. All of the noodle dishes had a rich but not too greasy broth and came with a good amount of hand pulled noodles. However, pork soup dumplings were a little lacking. The wrapping was quite thick and didn’t have a lot of soup inside. Overall, a good restaurant for quick, tasty, and well priced Chinese food.

The marinated chicken stir fry was OUTSTANDING!!! It really impressed us! I also enjoyed the shrimp fried rice (perfect flavor) and the turkey shrimp potstickers, which we got pan-fried. So good!! The scallion pancakes were decent too but I personally like the ones at TJ’s Dumplings better. Overall this was an excellent experience and I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for this cuisine.

The bite of these handmade noodles was perfect! We loved the shredded potato salad very similar to what we ate in Kunming. The mapo tofu, cumin beef stir fried noodle, signature beef soup noodle and the beef rolling pie were all favorites! Great portions and prices!

The handpulled noodles were good and fun to watch. I had the house soup which was good. We ordered the pork bun too. The pork bun was big but also very fatty. Between two of us, we couldn't stomach finishing it because of the fat (and I love pork and crispy fat) There were three people and two robots working. Two cooks, one front of house person and two robots. Every table was seated or needed to be cleaned. Despite being shorthanded, the food came out fast and hot. For the price, it was a good fast meal.

Not Just Noodle delivers truly authentic Chinese food. The kitchen is run by cooks from southern China, and you can taste that regional influence in every dish. Flavors lean slightly to the sweeter side for me personally, but that’s true to their roots and may be exactly what others enjoy. Portions are generous, service is straightforward, and it’s refreshing to find a place that feels closer to home-style cooking rather than Americanized takes. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for real Chinese flavors in the area.

I had been craving soup dumplings for weeks, and finally decided to search for some while I was in the area. And this place came up, and I’m so glad we chose to go here. I got the crab soup dumpling and the pork soup dumplings. My cousin got the beef rolling pie, and we were not disappointed! Although I couldn’t tell which were the pork or crab dumplings, but I honestly didn’t even care because they were both sooo flavorful and fresh, each having their own taste. And the beef rolling pie was INSANELY delicious! The beef was very tender, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The veggies in the rolling pie were cut excellently, again fresh and I could taste each veggie individually and they complimented the saucy beef, would definitely recommend trying it with the chili oil and or sriracha for added spice! I will be returning next time I’m in the area. The atmosphere was very nice as well, there wasn’t anyone else in the entire restaurant, not sure if it was because of the time we went (Monday evening) but I definitely hope they’re getting the business they deserve!

We visited this place after a review on Instagram posted by others. So we would like to give it a try. And wow ... they are not wrong. The food is all delicious. We happened to be in the Detroit and Madison Heights area for a visit in late January 2025. We ordered: Mini Soupy Bun (with pork and shrimp filling), Pan Fried Scallion Pancakes, Beef Tripes, Egg Fried Rice, Signature Beef Handmade Pull Noodles, and Seafood Stir Fried Handmade Noodles. And all are delicious!!! We will surely be going back in the future to try other menu items.

Not Just Noodle absolutely blew me away! The noodles are incredible – perfectly cooked with the best texture. The broth was rich, flavorful, and absolutely perfect. The vegetables were so fresh and added such a nice balance to the dish. Every bite was delicious. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

About time I have reviewed this place after it being one of my favorites for over a year. The food here is sooo good. Specifically the honey pork rib pulled noodles. I have gotten it at least 3 times now and it is one my favorite dishes in the metro Detroit area. I always get a new side/ appetizer/ dumpling whenever I got and have not been disappointed by any of them. It's always fun to try a new one. This time, my partner got the beef stir fry noodles and he really enjoyed it. The portion was huge as well. I have only ever carried out from here, but the service is always friendly. It is nice inside and I would consider eating in once, though it's usually pretty empty.

The Chinese food is okay by Michigan standards, so the bar is set quite low. The Chinese food in metro Detroit is bad. Very few places are authentic. When someone tells me they don't like Chinese food my response is that they have likely never tasted real Chinese food in metro Detroit. Not Just Noodle offers traditional Chinese dishes, but the taste wasn't quite right for me to say this is authentic Chinese food. The mapo tofu wasn't flavorful or spicy. The pork belly with vegetables was a disappointment. It also lacked flavor and the vegetables did not elevate the pork. This is a decent restaurant compared to its competitors but I still expected more.

Yum. Noodles are so good. Actually everything I tried so far is so good. Noodle soup or stir fry noodles. All top notch. Seasoning are well balance. Everything taste handcrafted with skill and time. Also the prices are very reasonable

Highly recommend their beef stirfry noodle and scallion pancakes. This is the 2nd time I visited this noodle place and again I'm happy with the flavor and texture of the noodle. Portion size is quite big and can be shared with another person. Crab Rangoon was delicious. However, their soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings were ok but I would order something else. The soup dumpling doesn't have much flavor. I love the spicy sauce they have and so good with their noodle. Service was good and fast. It gets busy on the weekend and they can set up the tables if you have a party of 8. They have fountain drinks and it's self service. Overall the place has a nice , calming vibe and it was great to watch them making noodles

Delicious, flavorful, and generous amount. Hand pulled noodles were amazing. Had a fun texture to it; nice and bouncy. My group came in about an hour before closing. Luckily they didn't mind us dining in although the cleaning lady was waiting for us to leave once it was near closing lol. Understandably so! Customer service was still great though. Very clean in the inside. Super cute decoration and furnitures. Decent amount of items on the menu. If you're looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine or hand pulled noodles, this is the place to go!

Vegetarian or spicy options available. Ordered the pork and shrimp chive dumplings (pan fried, $8.99) ... handmade, served hot with soy sauce dip .. highly recommend. Signature beef hand pulled noodle ($13.99) ... beef broth is clear and slightly brown in color ... noodles mixed in a machine but pulled by hand - tasted fresh and chewy ... thinly sliced meat topped with cilantro, baby bokchoy, green onion and radish ... also a must try. Pan Friend Scallion Pan Cake ($5.99) was a regret ordering... gummy texture and can't hardly taste and see the scallion. General Tao's Chicken ($11.99) is another mistake ordered .. the chicken is slightly undercooked, breaded and covered in orange sauce ... the flavor was a bit off .. the fried rice was oily but seasoned well. Portion size for the signature beef noodle and general tso's chicken can feed 2-3 persons. Free Kirkland bottled water. Serving the food was fast but table service needs improvement. We were served the pancake first but we don't have small plates to use. We had to ask the server more than three time for the plates, bowl and spoon. There was only brief interaction but no conversation happening with the servers. Gives me an impression that they are more focused on taking care of online orders. Don't remember if there was music playing but I could hear myself and others talking. The lights inside and the walls looked gloomy. Compliments to the wood bowls, table and stools. Private parking shared with Lao Pot. Across the street is the back dock of 168 Asian mart. Check out was done fast by going to the counter and pay the bill using cash or credit. Receipt can be printed or sent electronically.

Great service, clean restaurant that offers dine in and take out options. The menu offered a lot of different dishes- we tried the takoyaki, signature beef noodle, soupy dumplings and chicken stir fry noodles. Everything was great but we especially loved the takoyaki!

Went here for lunch with coworkers and the service here was very slow. The food was okay but nothing special. Would not return after the super slow service.

Had double cooked pork and tomato beef sirloin over rice. Double cooked pork intestine noodle was very good. If you want to try something a little different, and are not afraid of intestine, give this a try. The intestine was just the right amount of chewy-ness and texture. The noodle was hand made and fried well. Would get this again as this was very satisfying. The tomato beef was supposedly very popular, however, it was disappointing how little beef there was. There was ~5 small pieces of beef and some tomato and LOTS of rice. When I asked, they said this was standard - so I should have asked beforehand. It was good, just too little amount. Ambiance was nice. Very few Chinese restaurants where you see the kitchen visibly where they cook. Props to them for that. I would come back, maybe have the expectation that their quantity is smaller than average.

It's really 3.5. The beef stir fry noodles were great. Personally wanted it to be spicy, or have some spice, asked for that but they couldn't accommodate. Flavors were there, texture was right on. The atmosphere somehow fits, it's not fancy, not authentic but works. I also ordered the Turkey, shrimp dumpling. Can't really rate them. As I instead received all turkey , not what I ordered. Told waiter, he just said "oh sorry". Did not care for the "turkey" dumplings. Noodles was star of the show.

I tried their signature beef hand pulled noodle soup. It had a strong beef flavor but wasn't really salted at all. I think the point is to season with salt to taste. That being said, there was lots of meat that was super tender, the noodles were thinner with great chew. I also tried their honey rib hand pulled noodle. This was a winner, the meat was so tender and fall off the bone. It was slightly sweet and savory and really delicious in the noodle soup. I also got their Pork and chive dumplings. It had a nice thin dumpling skin with flavorful and savory pork filling. Absolutely loved!

Also order some seaweed salad to add to the texture of your bites It's so clean and modern feeling with a full view of the chefs which is what really puts this place over the top for us- and also the young man working the cash register and tables

I tried the tomato beef sirloin over handmade signature noodles, the signature beef hand-sliced noodle soup, and the beef rolling pie. The one thing that made this place stand out was the texture of the noodles they made as there was a nice bounce but tender texture which made it addicting to slurp. Tomato beef sirloin over handmade signature noodle, 4/5: This is by far my favorite as the dish was seasoned well, which allowed the juices of the tomatoes and steak to get soaked in by the noodles, creating a well-unified dish signature beef hand-sliced noodle soup, 3/5: looking at just the broth, it was not anything special as there was a beefy taste, however the seasoning was not there and made it seem a bit watery. Usually in these soups, you get a hit of savory from the beef, salt, and soy coming together. However, the beef was very tender and a generous amount was given and the noodles soaked the flavors well. beef rolling pie, 3/5 The beef pie was okay, but the pastry around the beef was a little tough, however the flavor inside made up for it. I would say unless you're really craving beef rolled pie, it is not really worth it.

Because of its location, I was hoping for a really authentic and unique culinary experience. Unfortunately, everything was "good," buy Noodles & Co. good, not "authentic good." Sadly, the Stir Fried Noodles dish was nothing special; however, the Dumplings were amazing and the Beef Roll was legit af. Overall, I expected more, but I'd say this location is worth another try.

The food is excellent ! It was later at night, and many of the restaurants that I wanted to go to were near to closing time. So I selected this restaurant because they closed much later. The restaurant is very narrow in width, being able to seat about 40. The decor inside is plain while the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The restaurant's offerings are handmade dumplings, filled buns, soup buns, rice bowls, dumpling soups, appetizers, handmade noodles with broth and a vast number of handmade noodle stir fries. We selected - Beef rolling pie( a crispy wrapper filled with cabbage, beef, onions, and spices ) It was very good. - Pork and chive dumplings - Pork, shrimp, and chive dumplings We got the dumplings pan-fried. Amazing in taste. Both are large in size and taste. - Beef brisket with noodles in broth The serving size is huge. Two ladies could split a bowl for lunch. - Stir fried beef noodles with beef. Good also. The wok hei was missing. All the food is made on-site, and you can taste the difference This restaurant serves authentic Chinese food only. You will not find General Tso chicken here. Before taking children here, I would read the menu first to make sure there is something they like. I felt it was fairly priced with all the food that was ordered and the size of the portions. I wish to do a shout-out to our waiter Kuan ( sp ? ) He was very friendly, patient, and answered all my questions. I'm looking forward to going back. . .

We dropped by Not Just Noodle for a weekend lunch after some friends recommended this place for hand pulled noodles. It was a pretty snowy day, so there weren't too many people eating in, yet they seemed to have a healthy take out business given that the chef was working constantly during the time we were there. We got one dish each: Signature Beef Hand Made Pull Noodle ($13.99) - As soon as I heard the squeak of a noodle making machine cranking, I knew something was suspicious. The kitchen is in open view, so I walked up and saw the chef feeding the dough through a machine, then hand stacking the sheets, and finally through another machine to cut the dough. Hand pulled? More like machine pressed and cut but I guess they get away with it because the machine is hand cranked. It's easy to tell after you start eating that these are not hand pulled. Firstly, each noodle strand is completely uniform. Secondly, the texture isn't as bouncy as a hand pulled noodle since the gluten strands aren't congruent, although I suppose the gluten content of the flour could affect things as well. They give quite a bit of noodle, possibly too much to be honest. Since there is such a large amount and they are cut quite thin, it results in large clumps while you eat. For the rest of the dish - the broth is pretty light with light salty/savory notes. The beef is marinated in a Chinese braising spice mixture and is braised until quite tender. Not Just Noodle gives a good amount of meat. On the side, there is some sliced daikon and a couple of pieces of bok choy. The bok choy has a very raw biting taste. Given the taste and very crunchy texture, I assume they don't blanch it and instead just dump raw bok choy into the bowl and hope that the broth is hot enough to cook it through. Unfortunately it doesn't cook and is quite unpleasant to eat. Shredded Pork Green Pepper over Hand Made Noodles ($13.99) - This dish is served piping hot and the aroma coming off the bowl is exquisite and mouthwatering. This dish is essentially red and green bell peppers cut lengthwise, sauteed with onions and garlic and marinated julienned pork. The pork is deliciously tender and very lean with no fat or sinew. The bell pepper unfortunately is not cooked evenly, with some pieces almost being mushy, and some pieces crunchy and barely cooked. This is served over the same machine cut noodles as other dishes. There's still a bit of saucy broth at the bottom of the bowl, so it's not completely dry. Tastewise the dish is very good overall. The pepper flavor really comes through and they also add a bit of sichaun peppercorn for that mala mouth numbing feel. There is an option to get the knife cut noodles (the chef uses a modified vegetable peeler to slice the dough block into noodles right into a boiling pot of water), but it's a $2 up charge. I was actually wondering why there was a up charge when I first looked at the menu, because hand pulling should technically be more labor intensive than knife cut but I figured that out pretty quickly! Note: Not Just Noodle doesn't serve water in cups; they only have bottled water. Not sure if they charge for it since we brought our own water this time. There are a handful of other places in Metro Detroit that actually serve legitimate hand pulled noodles so I would tend to those places rather than Not Just Noodle. The food isn't bad, it's just that there are better places nearby. I personally can't see a reason to eat at Not Just Noodle again but you can give it a try and see for yourself.

Was in the area shopping and saw the place from the road. Thought we would try it for dinner sure glad we did. Started with beef rolling pie. A very flavorful appetizer. It was a green onion pie with beef and house sauce. The beef was tender and the house sauce was a little sweet. Nice flavor mix with green onions and cucumber. My entree was beef stir fry pulled noodles. A very good dish. The noodles were tender as was the beef. Nice fresh vegetables tossed in. Clean dinning area and service was really good.

I have been meaning to try this place out and so glad I did! Their Outstanding dish is their honey pork rib hand pulled noodle soup. The broth is perfect. The meat is tender and there is an ample amount. The noodles are perfect. Definitely get this. I ordered the beef tripe noodle soup. I would say this is a near perfect dish too, but I agree with other Yelpers that the broth is a bit bland. However, a couple spoonfuls of chili oil made it perfect and I was happy with the result. Their chili oil had a nice smoky flavor to it. Super yummy. Beef tripe was ample amount and very yummy. The fried pork and chive dumplings were extremely good, surprisingly. I think it's the combination of the vinegar sauce they give you, and the airy fried crust of the dumpling. Really yummy! This place is clean, staff are helpful and overall a great business to support. My only complaint is that we basically had to ask for everything-plates for our dumplings, more napkins, even water. They only offered bottled water here unfortunately and would be better if they just had glasses of water. Other than that very happy to come again!

This food was PHENOMENAL!!! Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The portions were also huge. Everyone needs to try this restaurant!!! Enter through the back side of the building. The inside is nicely decorated. 10/10

Tomato egg noodle were OK. Beef noodle soup beef were so tough under cooked. I thought it was hand pulled noodle, but was not homemade noodle.

I came here with my brothers for some hand pulled noodles and they didn't disappoint. The service was quick and hospitable. The place was clean and the lighting created a casual mood. They didn't have open beverages so we got bottled water and canned products. They didn't offer tea, but they accommodated my little brother and made him a pot. We'll definitely be back! The food was exceptional with big servings and the location was accessible. The vegetables were fresh even in the ramen. There was a snap! The flavors provided in the dishes were the perfect amount. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Rolling Beef Pie. We ordered it on accident but I loved it so much, I ordered another to go! No complaints on the Beef Hand Pulled Noodle. If it's your first time and you're intimidated, that's the dish to get. It'll ease you in. The Mini Soupy Bun & Pork Filling was a fun bite. Hot, but a great little bite of flavor. Pro Tip - park in the back because the front door (facing street) does not open.

The meat pork and shrimp dumplings is good and the meat roll ups is amazing the noodles is kinda bland but if you put some spice in it it kinda change but everything else it amazing!!!!

This is easily one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the metro Detroit area. I've come twice in two weeks and can see my family becoming regulars here. Highly recommend the tomato beef sirloin over hand made noodles (a bit on the sweeter side, but still found it delicious), but I've liked everything else I tried on the menu. It's also fun to watch them make the noodles as you wait/dine. Came on both weekdays and weekends and haven't had a problem with a wait. Service was fast and efficient.

The food was amazing!!! The hand pulled noodle soup had great flavor, it reminded me of the places I've been too in Chicago. The soup dumplings had good flavor but did not have broth on the inside like they're supposed too. I would absolutely go again just for the soup though!

This restaurant is LOCATED in Michigan! It's all about the noods, aka not just noodles! Honestly, everything from here was on point. If I'm ever in town again, I would definitely pass here again! 1. I've been in the area for some time and I just discovered this place! The food is amazing!! I got the long stir fried noodles which are perfect for Chinese tradition of birthday noodles!! We also got some noodle soup which was amazing as well! The noodles are better than the other ingredients in the soup but it was still a fantastic meal. My favorite part is that you can see the noodles being made right in front of you! It was a great environment and the service was great!

10/10. Had the pork rib knife cut noodle to go and it was great. Lots of meat and great broth. Will return to dine in.

I got take out and it was the best packaging I've ever received for a noodle dish! Also, I brought the marinated pig ears to work and I got mad hate for it but it was delicious!

We ordered the jumbo shrimp stir fry noodle and beef tripe soup noodle. The stir fry was good but on the salty side. Too many onions. Decent portion. The soup noodle had good flavor and a fair amount of meat. The ambiance is lacking. Parking in the back. The host was also the waiter. No tap water, bottle water only for .50 each.

Considering that this place has so many good reviews I was surprised how average the food was. I was really excited to try them and when I started to eat, the disappointment hit. We ordered two stir fried hand pulled noodles, one with beef and with vegetable with extra veggies and shredded potato salad. What I didn't like: - for the price you pay there is not much of beef or veggies (even after I paid extra for more veggies). - by veggies I mean couple of leafs of bok choy, half slice of tomato and some onion. Yeah.... - no vegan protein available. How difficult it is to add tofu as an option? - lack if flavor. I had to flavor it at home. The only did that had a flavor was the potato salad - very greasy What I did like: - noodles itself were nice and chewy - potato salad had a nice flavor with a kick to it Maybe the noodles with the broth are a better idea but I did see some reviews that also mention lack of flavor. I really wanted to like this place but I don't think I'll be spending my money there considering that there were more things I didn't like than what I liked.

This place is very underrated! The clean, quiet, relaxing atmosphere, the authenticity and the quality of the food is astonishing, specially for the low price. The service is pleasant and attentive. Would highly recommend for anyone to try! Personally loved the tomato beef sirloin rice bowl.

I was excited to try another hand pulled noodle restaurant when I learned about this place! I got takeout here for lunch, calling ahead to order. For my stir fried beef noodle entree, it was a great, big portion size, with plenty of veggies and a decent amount of meat. The beef was tender and seasoned well, without any of the tenderizer powder, as far as I could tell. The veggies were crisp and not over or undercooked. The noodles themselves have a great texture being made from scratch, but they were not the most flavorful and were also pretty greasy. I also ordered marinated pig ears. While the menu has a little chili symbol next to spicy dishes, this dish did not have one next to it. However, they were quite spicy - they were doused in chili oil! The flavor of the ears was good, but a heads up on the spice would have been nice. It was equivalent to at least a medium spice dish at a Thai restaurant, if not a little more. I ended up taking them home and rinsing them to get the oil off before heating them up, and they were a lot better after that. I interacted with a very friendly worker when I picked up my food. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but it was nice and clean inside. I would like to try the soup noodles sometime (those shouldn't be greasy), along with other dishes on the menu that sounded intriguing.

Loved the beef roll appetizer and beef noodle soup. The beef roll was surprisingly sweet-ish and the beef noodle soup was pleasantly/mildly spicy. The noodles were fantastic - thick-ish, great flavor and a bit of chew. The beef was tender and lean. SWMBO was disappointed with her honey pork rice bowl. The pork was typically Asian fatty, but too fatty for her and she ate none of it. The staff noticed ... and without asking, comp'd a serving of fried dumplings - excellent attentiveness and the dumplings were also excellent. The chopsticks have metal tips ... and I really struggle with metal chopsticks, especially with noodles. Next time I will bring my own chopsticks. The restroom was a mess - just, ugh. Will I return? Yes.

I was excited to try this place for a long time. Unfortunately, the flavor of their signature "beef hand pulling noodles" was quite unpleasant. Noodles are my favorite food, and the noodles themselves were fine, but it's rare that I dislike a dish so much that I can't stomach it. This was one of those occasions. Thankful to have to have ordered the green onion pie as well (good texture - not a ton of flavor), otherwise I would have left hungry.

This review is tricky because I suspect if you were looking for chinese noodles or Pho... this place might rate higher. I was looking for "not just noodle" but the menu is limited. I had the beef noodle dish and the fried dumplings. The fried dumplings were very good and rated a 4. The beef and noodles were too bland for my palate--I was looking for something more like Szechaun or Kung Pao. Give the beef and noodles a 3 for effort. Service--not good. I couldn't tell if it was maybe supposed to be take out, or self service at the tables. The cashier/hostess waited on me and I never got a spoon to eat the broth. She seemed more focused on her home work. So if you are craving beef floating in broth with noodles, go here. If you are expecting a regular, table service Chinese restaurant, this is not the place. Should be called "Pretty Much Just Noodle."

It's a relatively small place, but I liked the vibe inside. From the outside it looks like it's really nothing much, I'm probably pretty easy to miss as well. But it has a nice cozy warm vibe inside. Their menu seemed to have quite a good selection of things, and although it seemed maybe a touch on the expensive side, it seemed fairly normal. Only tried one dish so far, but will definitely keep it in mind for a repeat visit to try some more. I tried the beef stir fry noodles. The vegetables and meat were meh, but I did really enjoy the noodles themselves.

Anytime English is not the predominate language in both the signage and the menu, you know you are going to get a more authentic dining experience. I probably wouldn't have stopped unless someone told me about it, as it's kinda tucked and hidden away. Sooo happy I did. I'm a big fan of hand pulled noodles! If you are wondering what the difference is, it's the texture. It's a bouncier, chewier texture that elevates the whole eating experience. These did not disappoint. I ordered the shrimp stir frying hand pulled noodles. DELICIOUS. However I definitely recommend that adding your choice of a garlic chili oil will take it next level. You owe it to yourself to try. I also tried the "green onion pie". It's a scallion pancake but thinner lol. Tasty I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Delicious food with fair price and good portion as well. Also interesting chili oil and spices available in the table to choose. Close to an Asian supermarket for a quick walk after eat.

In an Asian block in the heavily Asian part of John R. Crowded parking lot. Inside is a clean nice noodle noodle place. The appies were great, they provide water and forks if you need them. The entrees were really good. They make their own noodles and do it well. Strongly recommend

Amazing spot! Great food, service and venue. Thank you Yelp for the event and allowing us to try out this great spot - we will be back! Ordering was simple and the food came out quick. I did feel bad as a lot of the menu items weren't available due to food shortages, but if they were I would have eaten way, way too much! The food had flavor and came out hot. They also had choices for vegetarians and made was feel welcome for the entire experience. Looking forward to next time. ** no iced tea.

better get those chopstick handling skills ready - this restaurant is truly authentic and exquisitely delicious! the quant Asian styled atmosphere truly put a smile on my face. We were greeted promptly and service was impeccable. this hidden gem of John R is a must go to and I highly recommend all you metro Detroiters to give it a try. ps - sorry for the blurry pics, need a new phone!!!!

My favorite order from here is the beef roll. I've tried a few of their noodles dishes and it's okay. The staff are very kind and quick.

Good food. The three of us were very happy with our dishes. Dumplings were the bomb.

Open until 9pm. Some not just noodles and noodles sound yummy. They have hand sliced or hand pulled noodles here. The noodle master is fun to watch. There is mild, medium and hot salsa at the table. We ordered a green onion pie, eggie itself, seaweed salad, cucumber strips in sauce and chicken stir-fried hand pulling noodles. The onion pancake is nice and chewy, definitely some glutinous rice flour in it to give it that nice chewy flavor. I could eat them for days. The chicken stir fried noodles is okay, the chicken is nice and tender, but too fatty and untrimmed for me. The hand pulled noodles are good. The egg itself is decent. It's a solidly hot dog shaped egg, as described. The cucumber strips in sauce are quite yummy, the sauce is quite good. The seaweed salad is good. Service was okay. I could eat more of the green onion pie and the cucumber too. At least the egg provided some good protein. Wasn't a huge fan of the egg itself and the chicken stir fried hand pulled noodles.

I am so happy there is a place like this in the area! Came here recently after hearing multiple friends raving about it. The food here tastes like home and reminds me of noodle dishes my mom frequently makes for the family. Since I don't live near my parents anymore, this place brings the comfort of home. I was able to try the tomato beef sirloin noodles and mapo tofu over rice. The mapo tofu over rice is good, but I think the star of the show was definitely the noodles. Noodle texture is perfectly chewy. It is not exactly like the al dente you would get in an Italian noodle dish, so I am not really sure how to describe it. Just trust me when I say that the texture is . The tomato is stewed perfectly where it brings out a nice sweetness in contrast to its tartness. It pairs well with the stewed beef that has a sweet/spice-filled. I personally love stewed beef chunks over the thinly sliced beef in noodle dishes, so this was the perfect dish for me. There are 3 hot sauces at each table-- a mustard green one, a more traditional chili oil, and a black bean hot sauce mix. All 3 were fantastic. Instead of mixing it into my noodles, I would spoon a little bit onto each bite. I am really happy I did because each sauce was so delicious. Thank you Not Just Noodles for providing a taste of home for me! TLDR-- 5/5, run to this place and try their noodles because you will not regret it and will find yourself coming back for more!

Went here for lunch and everything, especially the hand pulled noodles and dumplings were delicious! Great and friendly service and chill ambiance as well. It was our second time here and we enjoyed it as much as the first time

I've had my eye on this Spot ever since I drove past it. I ordered takeout, but while inside the restaurant it was set up very nicely and looked clean. I ordered the Stir Fry Beef Hand Pulled Noodles because they were highly rated on the menu. The noodles were chewy and included plenty of vegetables (I was pleasantly surprised to see Bok Choy in the mix), but the beef bites were the best part - full of flavor and so tender. I definitely want to try more of the menu next time because the flavor of these were good but I'd love to try something spicy.
