Casa Colonial Beach and Spa, an SLH Hotel

We just left our second stay at Casa Colonial, this time with our almost one year old son. Wow, we had the best time. We love the location and beautifully appointed hotel, every detail feels luxurious but the part that made it so wonderful this trip was the staff. They were FABULOUS, made us feel so welcome and at home. They loved our son so much. The good and service is amazing as per usual. I highly recommend staying on playa dorada, the water is very calm and perfect for swimming with little ones. Beach is very clean. Thank you so much to the amazing staff, I wish I had all of their names. Victoria at breakfast was the sweetest.

We love this place. The staff truly made the stay—everyone was so friendly, warm, and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really feel how much they care. The food was wonderful, the building and grounds are beautiful with flowers everywhere, and the beach is stunning. Our room was gorgeous, very well laid out, and beautifully made. We honestly hated to leave and can’t wait to come back

We had the most amazing vacation in this magical place! Loved the staff-so friendly and welcoming. Location-best in DR! Design-absolutely perfect! Gardens- spectacular! Service- unbelievable. Too many knocking on our room door, but it was all positive! Food-very tasty and nice. Pool&hot tub-the most perfect spot of the hotel. We would definitely return and recommend to others 🤩

We stayed at Casa Colonial for a quick couple's getaway, celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the front of house team. Our suite was spacious and had a lovely ocean view. I emailed ahead to inform the team of our special occasion and we were welcomed with a special amenity in the room, which was a nice surprise! ||The resort is beautiful, luxurious, and provides a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Dinner at Lucia was fantastic and the Dominican breakfast at the Veranda was phenomenal. Our spa experience was divine! ||Above all, we were mostly impressed by the level of service that the team has delivered. Every interaction was personal and genuine all across the board. Casa Colonial will now be our second home every time we are in Puerto Plata and we will definitely recommend to our friends and family as well. We can't wait for our next visit!

This hotel is a real 5-star hotel. All the staffs are very professional. The environment is absolutely safe and quiet. Residents have high level of privacy. The housekeeping is great and able to maintain the cleanliness of my room. Please don't miss the restaurant because you will be regret. The pricing is 5-star grade when I have spent about $160 for 2 people, but the value is like $300 worth of dinner. Seafoods are their specialty so don't miss it. The bartenders (have to highlight Francis) are super friendly and pricing of the beverage drinks are friendly. The beach is wonderful, staffs are there to serve you anytime.

This was my third time staying at Casa Colonial over the last 2 years. I normally do not write reviews but had to after this trip. Unbelievable service, food and drinks. I do not want to name any specific staff since they are all amazing and I do not want to leave anyone off the list. If you like a quiet resort, amazing beach with plenty of places to relax under shade or not - a rooftop pool and a lot of happiness - put this on your list||The picture of the meal we had was to say the least one of the best meals i have ever had. I am in my 50s from NYC. The lobster was cooked perfectly as were the carrots and broccoli in a very light sauce. The steak added a turf compliment which also was outstanding. They have a nice wine list if you are into a bottle with dinner. if you are not staying at the hotel - you can still visit the restaurant for a 5-star meal. This place will not disappoint.

Fantastic! We stopped for a day room and enjoyed the pool and beach. The staff was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.
