Der Ritterhof Inn

The location is great. It’s the reason I chose the place. Check in was smooth and the woman that checked us in was very pleasant. It was quiet at night, but wouldn’t have been had guests been in the room above us (as is the case at most hotels). The rooms are very basic and dated. The sheets, pillows and beds have seen better days. It was clean though. We stayed on a Saturday night in January so price was a premium due to the weekend. This is $100/night room, not a $200/night, which is what we paid. I’d stay here again during the week at the lower price, but not during the weekend when the price increases by 100%. It is not worth $200/night.

We went to the Alpine Rivers Inn official website as we wanted to book a room directly through the hotel. We were familiar with the location, as we used to stay at Bindlestiff across the river from them and thought it would be a nice view; cozy woodland area near to, but just far enough away from the lights and bustle of Leavenworth to be restful and scenic. I scrolled to the bottom of the page to find the phone number and clicked a button to make the reservation. When we arrived at the Alpine Rivers Inn, there was no one in the locked office, and the room number we were given did not correspond with numbers on the doors at the property. We called again only to discover that the room we had reserved was at a sister property in town that looked out to a muddy patch of grass and a tractor. The other property has its own separate website and neither site mentions the other property or that the number for reservations is the same for both. There was no apology for the confusion and we were too tired to argue the point. The breakfast was more meager than expected, with rubbery eggs, waffles raw in the middle, and the typical limited selection of a budget chain motel. There is a fridge and coffee maker in the room, but no microwave. The room looked clean, but an ultraviolet flashlight said otherwise. The chairs are covered in cracking vinyl, the tub needs refinishing, and the shower temperature varied wildly from too hot to too cold every few seconds. We didn't get a good night's rest due to the poor heat control (with the thermostat set at 68, it was too hot), the trucks backing up outside early in the morning, and the rough texture of the sheets and pillowcases. The worst disappointment, though, was the website bait and switch....

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Der Ritterhof Inn and, more importantly, how management handled what should have been a simple and fair situation. I checked in on December 10, 2025 at 3:31 p.m. for a two-night stay ($734.12 plus pet fee). Shortly after check-in, the power went out across the entire town of Leavenworth. I went to the front desk twice that evening (around 4:00 p.m. and again at 7:15 p.m.) asking for updates. First, we were told power might return between 8–9 p.m. Later, we were told there was no estimated restoration time. With no electricity, no heat, and virtually no food options, we made the decision at 7:15 p.m. to leave and drive home to the Seattle area. Due to road closures, the trip took nearly four hours. We arrived home at 12:50 a.m. I personally informed the front desk that we were leaving and was told they could not process checkout because of the outage and that I should follow up once power was restored. What happened next is why I’m writing this review. I booked through Hotels.com and was told by the hotel to contact them for a refund. Hotels.com then told me the hotel had charged me directly and only the hotel could process the refund. After going back and forth, I was instructed to request a refund waiver through Hotels.com so the hotel could approve it. The hotel then denied the waiver and disputed my credit card claim by using statements that are completely false. The General Manager, Sheila Sanchez, claimed that I: * Stayed and used the room both nights * Returned on December 11 around 10:00 a.m. * Came back again on December 12 to request a free stay * Threatened to write a bad review and call my bank None of this is true. I have time-stamped Ring camera footage, receipts from businesses over 150 miles away, and photos showing I was at home in the Seattle area on December 11 and December 12. I even have Ring footage of myself walking my dog at the EXACT time she claims I was in the hotel lobby. It is physically impossible for me to have been in two places at once. The hotel’s own website stated the outage lasted December 10–13. We were there less than six hours, without power or heat, yet they insist on keeping full payment and submitted inaccurate statements to justify it. I waited to post this review until my dispute process with both Hotels.com and my credit card company was complete. Despite providing proof, the decision ultimately favored the hotel. I have emailed the hotel four times with no response and have repeatedly called and asked to speak to a manager, only to be told one is not available and someone will “call me back.” What I cannot accept is being misrepresented and having false allegations made about me instead of simply issuing a fair refund for a room that was unusable. If management had handled this honestly and professionally, this review would not exist. Power outages happen. Creating false narratives about a guest to avoid a refund does not. That is why I cannot recommend staying here.

We were excited to stay at the Ritterhof Inn. We love Leavenworth and were really looking forward to this visit. Overall, the place was fine, but it could definitely use some TLC.||The rooms feel outdated, and the carpet could really use a deep cleaning. That said, the location makes up for a lot—it’s convenient, quiet, and close to everything. The grounds were nice, and the property appeared clean overall.||We didn’t have any major issues during our stay, except for the breakfast. Based on previous reviews, we had heard great things, so while we didn’t expect anything fancy, we were still surprised. The breakfast was exactly the same every morning: eggs and a patty, two types of cereal, oatmeal, some pastries, and waffles. Unfortunately, the waffles never turned out right—they were either undercooked or almost see-through.||We also had some minor inconveniences. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and one morning it didn’t work at all. Our door was difficult to close and lock. For a room that sleeps four people, there were only three hangers, and in the bathroom there was only space to hang one towel.||Most of the front desk staff were friendly and courteous, though one agent was less engaging. There was also inconsistency regarding pet policies: one staff member allowed a guest with a puppy in the lobby/breakfast area, while another the next day told the same guest the puppy had to stay in the room, even though that was supposedly not allowed.||Overall, the Ritterhof Inn has a great location and a quiet atmosphere, but some updates would definitely improve the experience.

We had a great experience. Staff was friendly. We were able to stay there with our dog and have a wonderful breakfast. Easy to walk to downtown. Room was clean and quiet at night. Loved the decorations and style.

We recently stayed at Der Ritterhof Inn for a delayed Christmas weekend getaway (because nothing says romance like “Sorry Santa was late this year, babe.”). Leavenworth itself? Straight-up Hallmark movie vibes. The Bavarian-style buildings, the snow-capped mountains, the twinkle lights — absolutely magical. Of course, the only actual snow we experienced was the morning we had to leave. Classic timing. Thank you, weather gods. ❄️ We did it right: shopped the village, wine tasted like professionals, devoured schnitzel and pretzels, and fully embraced our inner Germans. We even heckled the folks in the horse-drawn carriage as they clip-clopped by — not because we’re mean… just because we’re too cheap to pony up the cash. If you’re riding in that carriage, just know we’re rooting for you financially. Now, let’s talk about the Inn. It was… fine. Not spectacular, not scary — just comfortably existing in the middle. The room did its job. The breakfast? It reminded me of what I’d get when traveling for work — about one or two steps above continental. It fueled us, and honestly, that’s all we needed before a full day of wine and bratwurst. If you’re staying at the Ritterhof and want to elevate your morning from “business trip vibes” to “main character energy,” do yourself a favor and hit Argonaut Coffee & Biscuits. Now THAT is a breakfast worth writing home about. Overall: Great weekend. Great memories. Questionable snow timing. Would absolutely go back — but next time, I’m scheduling the snow in advance.

The location is good, easy access to the shops in Leavenworth. Check in was easy, the room was clean with comfortable beds and fluffy towels. I was able to enjoy a hot shower. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They serve coffee, tea and cider 24hours. Breakfast was the only downside to the stay, minimal selection and the syrup for the waffles appeared to be watered down. As soon as I poured it on the waffle it was soggy, ugh! I was looking forward to that waffle. It seemed a bit overpriced for what you get, but this may be due to it being a tourist town. I will not need a repeat visit to Leavenworth.

We stayed in a room with king bed on lower level. The room was very dark and outdated. The smell of the room was gross. Could really benefit for room air fresheners. Had a very musty smell. Could hear neighbors on all sides and above as the walls seem thin. The towels smelled bad as well. The continental breakfast had stale pastries both days. The only benefit to staying at this hotel is being able to walk to the main area of town. Would not recommend this hotel for the price of the room. Which they made me sign twice acknowledging the room price which I’ve never in done in all of my travels anywhere. I obviously knew the price before making the reservation. The photos of the hotel must have been taken 20+ years ago. Very disappointed.

Last minute, one-night booking here and was pleased with everything. Room was good and front desk receptionist was helpful, accommodating. We were pulling a uhual trailer, and hotel was helpful with parking accommodations, etc.

If you were in Leavenworth. You have to check out this hotel. You have great view of the mountains. You are walking distance to town.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel! It was perfect for a night in Leavenworth. Perfect walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes and Leavenworth Adventure park (about an 8 minute walk) - would love to come back here! Complimentary breakfast also. The only thing I had trouble with was the shower knobs were a little bit outdated and hard to maneuver but overall everything was great! Try the coffee shop right next door (Argonaut Coffee) literally the best coffee I have ever had!

Negative Reference for Der Ritterhof Inn, in Leavenworth, Wa These may be good people, but they did not treat us decently. Two couples of us made reservation through Expedia for two rooms for one night for the summer theater on Aug 19, 2024. The cut off to cancel was Aug 16, 2024 On Aug 16, we were returning back to Spokane from Great Falls, Mt; got a call from the 2nd couple saying their elderly mother was very ill, & they could not go. I planned to call & cancel as soon as we got home, as the paperwork & phone number was there. As we got close to Spokane, I developed physical trouble, & spent most of the night in hospital ER. As soon as I could the next morning, I called them to cancel, & explain what happened. Both couples of us had had a serious medical situation. We were a few hours past their cut of, but they still had 2 days available to rent the rooms. They refused to do any refund to us. The rooms were 175.76 & 177.51. It appears that they would rather get the income, for which they had no effort or labor in, than to give a little grace in light of two legitimate serious medical issues. I have written them a letter explaining all the details, & asking them to reconsider giving us a refund; they did not even answer the letter. We think they did us wrongly; and would not consider staying there at all now. Sam Harding

Der Ritterhof is more of a motel than a hotel, although it's better appointed than most. Clean, comfy beds, an excellent shower, and a solid location (less than a 5 minute walk from the downtown area). Most of the rooms are in apartment-like detached wings orbiting the main office, where a continental breakfast is served from 7 to 9:30am (although we didn't partake...we slept in too late both days!). There's a pool as well in another separate building, but we didn't use it during our trip. Check in was relatively simple, and check out happened in the blink of an eye. It's not fancy, but it is functional, and is a more than serviceable lodging option for solo travelers, couples, and small families looking for an affordable (relatively speaking) place to stay in Leavenworth.

I would rate -5 if I could Warning!!!! Got BED BUGS! Waiting for manager to get here now going on two hours....never again! Was my birthday July 11th and my first "real" vacation in years and it's totally ruined now....update; just fyi after showing all these pics and videos of the supposed "lint" moving they still didn't believe me I contacted Fox News and I'm spreading the word so far had to throw away my purse and pair of shoes because they where not meant to be high heat dried...not sure about my car tho have to spray then vacuum still

We stayed here recently and thought the stay was fine. The double room we had was pretty clean, with soap and basic necessities. There was even an extra sink in the room. There's also a pool and bbq pit outside. What I thought was just okay was the breakfast -- egg Patties and sausage with toast, bagels, cereal, and some fruit. There was also a Belgian waffle machine. What got me was the check-out and lack of parking. I asked if we could last check out and the response was "for a little bit". When I asked what that meant, they said 12 pm, which is only 1 hour past checkout. This is even considering that check-in and the other guests wouldn't arrive until 4 pm. The way that I was told no later than noon was also pretty cold and unconcerned. Not sure I'd stay here again.

We stayed here overnight and booked the room the same day. The cost was a little high at $233-ish a night, but for booking the room at the very last minute, it was fine. The room looks like it did back in the 80s, but it's clean and had everything you need for a basic stay. It is definitely more motel than hotel, so if you're staying in Leavenworth for a day or two, and just need a place to sleep, it's a great spot. The room was bug-free (I checked!), the bedsheets had no smell, and the shower curtain also had no smell (unlike some hotels which have shower curtains that reek faintly or urine). We also had a second sink in the main bedroom which was super convenient. The property is clean, and in the summer, it's a nice place to sit on the grass or tables and relax. It's very family friendly, and there are rooms that allow dogs as well. No one partied, my room didn't smell like cigarette smoke, and we got a good night of sleep. There is also a basic breakfast in the lobby, but go next door to Argonaut if you have any allergies or are vegan (they have a great vegan avocado toast next door). Staff were friendly, and check in and check out was a breeze. I'll definitely bring my family back again. The walk to downtown Leavenworth is also short, and do-able for your kids if they're 5-6+ years old, otherwise, bring a stroller if they're younger.

Great stay in this beautiful little 'village'. The rooms were clean. breakfast was typically basic. Staff was very friendly.

Very rude. My third party that I booked with made a mistake and I didn't find out until the following month. I requested a refund and called the hotel manager. She was very rude and told me "your job is to book correctly" even though I tried to explain the situation was out of my hands. She then went on to berate me for 5 minutes and talked to me in an extremely rude manner. I can only imagine how they treat their guests. I suggest you go to any other place where they value their customers.

For almost $300 a night I definitely wasn't expecting to see visible mold inside the room on the roof. The place looks really cute on the outside but it is definitely outdated and pretty gross on the inside. If you're traveling with toddlers be advised that they do not have an upper lock on the doors so it's pretty easy for the kiddos to run right out the door . Additionally, this hotel does not accommodate early check-in, which is totally OK and pretty predictable with the busy season. I found that they were not very helpful or accommodating with even little things like asking for milk or where to buy milk... Additionally, the rooms do not have a microwave. All of the outlets don't work your phone chargers will just fall out of them. Their refrigerator also was really warm and never stayed cold. I will say that they're breakfast was pretty delicious though. Overall hotel needs major renovations was extremely overpriced and not very welcoming..

AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A NO RUDE SERVICE! Tried to stay here over the holiday break and the hotel manager and the front staff were unbelievably rude and condescending. Worst customer service I have ever experienced - I get that it is during their busy time but the lack of common decency and respect it unbelievable. Also, be careful on how much they charge you when you first book and when you get there - I was charged extra and when I asked for more information I was told taxes. You deserve to spend your money at a place that will treat you with more decency. Horrible miserable humans work there.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! If you're looking for an out of date, nothing burger motel this place is for you, for the steep price point you get: cheap bedsheets, out of date decor, curtains that don't close all the way, and a shower with no hot water!! On our first night we were informed that there is ONE HOT WATER HEATER FOR THE *ENTIRE* BUILDING!! so you get maybe about 5 minutes of hot water (if someone else in your building didnt also decide to jump in at the same time as you!) until you're blasted with water so cold it feels like they piped it directly from the snowy mountainside. So if you're exhausted from a long drive and a tumultuous travel day be prepared to be greeted by that. Throughly dissatisfied with this stay, and take my advice and do not book with these guys.

If someone had told me that by staying here I would pay $233 (final price reflecting the discount) for the night but not have access to hot water and get gaslit by the employees/management I never would have stayed here. What happened? We stayed here after running the Enchantments loop (27 miles!) - so, we were psyched for a warm shower when we showed up. Our room didn't have any hot water. We tried to work it out by calling the front desk on the phone. After two calls we couldn't get it fixed and since we were already late to meet friends in downtown we just took cold showers. On our way out we talked with the front desk and told them about the situation and how since we already took cold showers we would rather just take a 30-50% discount and forget this ever happens. The front desk person said the morning person would handle the discount but that she would try to fix it by flipping the breakers as that sometimes fixes it (as we found out that night, it didn't fix it). We said our goodbyes and said we'd check-in in the morning. When we checked-in in the morning they offered us a 12% discount ($30). They said we weren't eligible for more because their evening front desk person said that she tried to offer to switch our rooms but we had walked out on her since we were in a rush. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! They also never tried calling our cell phones which they had on record. It sucks to go through an unpleasant experience and then be told that you lied about what happened. This could have been solved a dozen other ways and Der Ritterhoff chose to gaslight its guests. We won't stay here ever again.

When I called for a three night reservation, I was put on hold for a half hour and then gave up. We later got a reservation by calling late at night. We called two nights before our reservation and because of a 72 hour cancellation requirement, were told to email the general manager our request to reschedule. The GM didn't respond to our email. I emailed the contact address on the website. No response. I called and was told that we had been charged for one night since that was the only reservation they had for us. So I don't mind them enforcing their policy, but their communication stinks.

I picked this hotel for a balance of price and location. The price was one of the lowest, and I certainly felt that in the room. Everything was clean, but also signs of wear were everywear - edges chipped, then painted over, worn edges here and there, not sure what was going on with the sheets, but they were SO itchy. All-in-all the above issues wouldn't prevent me from coming back; the price with the location is amazing. Breakfast was really good, too. Loved the waffles.

Listen, we went out on the town and got back around midnight. We went on a stroll through the property came back, showered, went to get into bed and found black specks all over the white sheets, we found hair, we found blood spots that are either from bed bugs or fleas. There was nobody to call at that hour because they had closed. We found a crystal white looking substance that had shifted into the back of the nightstand. My dad even said they haven't remodeled it. He would go there as a child. He is 70. Please please please keep your money! Whatever was infested in there was brought home with my aunt. I don't care what they tell you please don't make it a nightmare for yourself! Don't be desperate, it's not worth the headache! They will NOT refund you!!!!!! I even disputed it with my bank and will have to resort to posting on here. I hate to ruin their business but they need a reality check.

Worst place to book a room. They cancelled our reservation without our consent. Do not waste your money here and the way they talk is worse. No manners or etiquette while talking.

Smells like animals pee!! Urine aroma. The smell was piercing the air. Hair on the bed, with some suspicious stains.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TRIP AND MONEY. This is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed with. the front desk woman was beyond rude and had no idea how any of their policies work and shunted all responsibility because she only was a part time worker. The room was filthy and dated, a motel 6 would've been cleaner. There was carpet EVERYWHERE including outside? is was disgusting. they randomly charged our card for things when we weren't even there. It was an absolute scam and rip off and has caused my family so much strife I have half a mind to sue for the money they refuse to refund and also all of the grief it has brought my family. I'd sleep in the street before I ever stay at this absolute DUMP ever again.

The water coming out of the sink was yellow and then after checkout we got a call to say we had pulled the stuffing out of the blanket (what??) and would be incurred a charge of $110. Literally all we did was sleep in the room. Absolutely ridiculous. We will not be returning.

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff and customer service. Con: Slow check in if there is a line. Because it's a no frills hotel, there is only one gal there so bring your patience. Overall we enjoyed our stay! I would come again, it's in walking distance of downtown and it's less expensive than some of the other locations.

Front desk staff as friendly as a drowned puppy. Floor of our room was wet/damp and smelled dank / moldy. Got to hunker in our room while the guests next to us had a drunken fight. I'm traveling with my youngest and felt incredibly UNSAFE at your property. Outside of our door smoking and screaming of "you are a f'ing liar!" while we attempted sleep. Accidentally left a bag and the front desk refused to ship it to us. I've worked hospitality and yes, shipping is a possibility from your business. I would've paid for it, but noooo. We drove the four hours back to grab the bag, which had been rifled through. For $199/night, would imagine something more than sugary breakfast items, soggy carpet, crummy pillows, and worst of all, a staff who could give a spit about their clientele. Sad, run down joint. There are so many better options along the strip. You've been forewarned.

Lower your expectations when staying here and you'll be fine. The front desk lady was super friendly and tried to help me by making recommendations. No problem there. As I prepared for bed, it became quite obvious that the bedding was not fresh. Stray hairs were under a pillow that I hadn't yet used. I'll be sleeping on top of my blankets tonight. The bathroom is nice enough. I appreciate that there's soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner available through dispensers. Housekeeping is lacking. I found a pubic hair on the toilet seat. The ice bucket lid looks pretty grimy. The bed is comfortable enough and the pillows have obviously seen a lot of action. If you don't think about it too much, you'll sleep just fine. Breakfast was adequate for being included. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, waffles, fruit, pastries, etc. The location is good, but consider bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Traffic passes by all throughout the night. I was also kept awake by the person in the room above me pacing with a heavy foot.

Very good, family friendly Inn. We originally booked through third party site, but couldn't make it due to a snow storm. They graciously helped us reschedule to another weekend. We arrived and they were very helpful and accommodating. Room was clean, right above the laundry and well appointed. Cont breakfast in the morning was decent. Looks like a nice pool, yard area and grilling area for when the weather is nicer. Definitely very family and pet friendly and I think a very good value for the price! We've stayed at a half dozen hotels in Leavenworth, this one wasn't the nicest but def a great value!

The place itself was good. Kind of disappointed the pool is still not working. My biggest complaint would be the service regarding the breakfast. My wife was 6 minutes late to pick up the breakfast (9:06am) and was denied. 6 minutes late? Serious! Wish there could have been an exception since everything was boxed and individually wrapped. It was mainly for my children.

Stayed in Leavenworth 2 nights and had a very positive experience here. Room was very clean the bed was extremely comfortable. Traveling with a service dog and they were very accommodating and helpful with our needs. It's not always easy when traveling to find ADA complaint properties, but Der Ritterhof was perfect in every way. Thank you.

Terrible service. Just an absolute disaster. My family books the same weekend every year, for 2 nights & we take up about 5 + rooms. We used to love our time here but the service has always been a mess. This year, they only booked us for 1 night instead of 2, my father showed confirmation emails to the front desk confirming this date, and the staff still refused to help find us accommodations, kicking us out to find our own place to stay with about 15 people. We're never staying here again and I hope you don't waste your money here either.

I was in town with some friends for the Leavenworth Ale Festival. I was a last-minute addition to their party, so I have no idea how much they paid for the hotel. That said, this place kind of sucked. Perhaps in a tribute to the traditional stone-ware mugs of Bavarian, the mattresses were composed of the same material. I like me a firm mattress but these things were BRUTAL. Absolutely NO give to them. One of my favorite things about hotels are the scorching, steamy showers afforded by space-age water heaters they use. I DID NOT have the luxury of that here. The shower felt like someone was peeing on me. Lukewarm and disappointing. There are no coffee makers in the rooms either. I just looked up their prices and apparently they are one of the cheaper hotels in Leavenworth. I'll spare them a one-star rating for that.

Our room was updated & had extremely comfortable beds! Quiet, clean, & the location was within walking distance of the main strip.. Breakfast was decent, parking was just fine. Used a third party app for reservations & was a bit nervous when I read the reviews after the fact. I had no reason, I have zero complaints. Would recommend, & would stay again!

Pros: Clean and comfortable beds. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Within walking distance of town. Cons: Due to Covid - the lack of breakfast was disappointing. The "muffins" were inedible. Also, Covid seems to be an excuse for no maid service. Having to ask for towels, soap and location of temperature control plus making your own bed makes the room rate exorbitant even during Octoberfest. In Las Vegas a $300 per night room would get you at least a bell-person and two room keys. Also, traffic noise was quite apparent from our room.

If you're traveling with a dog, this is the place to stay in Leavenworth. They're super pet friendly and It's great to be able to hang out on the lawn with our furry friend. The customer service is great. Rooms are basic, but that's what we want when we have a dog with us.

It's a beautiful location and just a short walk from the village. Pool is ok, a little small though. The beds are soft and the pillows could use a little extra life in them. The towels and sheets smell strongly of bleach and are very scratchy from bleach overuse... they could use a serious replacement. Our writing desk had a super sticky surface from previous something and the bathroom door had makeup or blood spots and smudges on it. It's clear that the surfaces are being neglected in the cleaning time. Staff is super nice and the free breakfast was great. This was our first time visiting Leavenworth. Might stay again.

We arrived early and room was ready to go. We stayed over the weekends and everything went smooth as it should be. No noise from outside because room was close to the hwy 2 and ac worked fine. Room was clean. Morning breakfast was pretty good 7-10am. It was enough time to sleepover and head for breakfast and they had a lot of choices. Would recommend for a stay!!!

It was very clean and quiet. I'm used to small town hotels, and this one was perfect. I read some of the reviews, and they pretty much epitomize the pretentiousness that this town seems to attract, sadly. We had a wonderful stay, had plenty of hot water, clean sheets that didn't smell strongly of bleach (like some others said. That's called "CLEAN". Maybe you need to wash your sheets at home???) Anyway, it was a good hotel stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

BEWARE!! STAY CLEAR from this hotel! OR Bring your disinfectant wipes with you and be ready for a very uncomfortable night stay! Never stayed in Leavenworth this hotel was available thought we would try it and it was the worst decision we made! There was hair and food in the kitchen, hair in the bathroom, and hair inside of the telephone. When calling the front desk to let them know what we found when we checked in the front desk person said there was no housekeeping at this time and that we needed to call back in the morning to talk about this situation. I called in the morning and they where VERY rude and disrespectful even started yelling at me! Excuse me?!?!?! I should NOT have to pay the amount of money I did to have hair in the bathroom, hair and food in the kitchen, and hair in the telephone!!! DISGUSTING! The front desk that morning said they checked with housekeeping and that we where definitely wrong that it never looked that way. How would they know when they didn't even come and see what we saw?!?! I would NOT stay at this hotel EVER nor would I recommend it to ANYONE! I would not even give this place a one star!

First time staying at this hotel, but I have stayed in other Leavenworth hotels previously. Our room was disgusting. We found candy stuck in the carpet, a dirty towel behind the bathroom door, trash under the bed, and some sort of dried fluid (I'm trying to convince myself it was not blood, but I'm almost positive it was) on and around the toilet to include the side of the tub and back of the bathroom door. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff in the front office.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the AC worked great. It's also a very convenient location- super close to downtown. My main issue was the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable. I tossed and turned all night because it was just terrible. I've stayed at the der Ritterhof before and don't recall the bed being that uncomfortable before so maybe it was just the specific room I was in this time. Overall the amenities and staff are great, I just need a bed with at least a tiny bit of cushion. This was the firmest bed, it felt like sleeping on the floor.

my wife discovered her earings were missing a week after our stay. after searching all of our stuff and car and not finding them while she was distraught I called the receptionist and was happily told they were found and returned by the cleaning staff. such honesty is hard to find these days and deserves credit. besides that the whole staff were friendly and accommodating the whole time we were there. highly recommend

horrible customer service. they double booked the room even though the reservation was made a year ago. they were not willing to help with anything or help with accommodations and were honestly quite rude. you would think for them being the cause of the problem that they would have treated us better but they didn't. never go here cause they are unwilling to help out longtime coming customers yet it was their fault for the problem. worst service ever not coming here ever again. very disappointed.

This is a motor inn. As a motor inn it is an older property that has not had much updates. The rooms are similar to a Super 8 or a Motel 6. If you are planning to stay, I would suggest you stay when there is no festivities going on. This is not worth the cost to stay during a festival or celebration. There are properties that are in town, have amenities, newer properties, and are worth the cost, if staying during any festivities. We stayed here Because of family and when booked a year prior to cost went up without being told. Not happy at all with the higher prices and no hot tub, pool, or amenities. The staff was pleasant and this rating is not due to them. It's more about owners buying and being greedy, not updating the property to justify a price increase in rates.

Great location close to town and good value. Fridge in room. Loved the grassy common area where visitors can hang out and talk. Pet friendly. Staff were fabulous.

Hotel very cozy, Excellent costumer service. Property maybe a little outdated but the costumer service and the cleanest of the room made up for it. The price it's also very good! Very close to Down Town Leavenworth and the shopping center.

Staff was really friendly and helpful, they have free coffee anytime and office is open 24hrs if you have any problems, they also have a free breakfast from 7-10am. Room was clean and it's close to everything, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the door locks, yes they are fine for adults, just standard locks but I have a toddler and he could open the door and go out, and the screen door lock isn't like a normal screen door so he could open that too, other then the locks we had a wonderful stay!

It actually turned out to be less than great. When we checked in we were advised that the pool was not in operation and closed. The pool was one of the deciding factors am staying at this location and because it was the hottest couple of days of the season with record temperatures we were really looking forward to spending some time in the pool in the evening. We decided that if that is the worst then it was really no big deal however it was not. The staff was super friendly and helpful; easy to chat with. The bed was super comfortable the pillows were kind of hard but we slept well. In the morning one of us got a five minute shower and when I went to get into the shower there was zero and I mean zero hot water I ended up washing my hair over the tub in cold water and then sponge bathing in for the rest. (Ice cold water on my back and neck are migraine triggers) The bathtub and shower were difficult to operate and very much in need of updating. We went to The lobby to get ice and were told the ice machine was broken and we couldn't get ice again in the hottest weather. While there was much about the hotel that was comfortable it was certainly not a $195.00 a night room. This was a very disappointing knight.

We stayed here on 2/27/19. A fair deal for less than $80. Leavenworth was a ghost town on this night. Room was nice and clean with the exception of a little mold in the shower area, and the heater thermostat seemed to have a mind of it's own after midnight and the room was barely warm. I had called ahead and informed the hotel that I had three dogs. When I booked the room I pointed out that I had three dogs with me. I was informed there would be a pet fee of $20. That seemed fair. The next morning I was charged $60 for my three dogs. Apparently the $20 was "per pet" if you took the time to read the contract, which consisted of several pages of information, nothing of which conspicuously pointed out this rather significant charge. Me bad I guess. However, it would seem to me that this per pet charge should have been made explicitly clear on the phone and at check in since $60 is almost the cost of the room and the pet fee is non-refundable even if the pets behaved well and didn't make any mess. We were the only guests in our building that night, so in the morning we left the dogs in the room alone while we went to breakfast. Otherwise we wouldn't have considered leaving the dogs alone as a courtesy to the other guests. We received a call from the hotel during breakfast indicating that the dogs were barking and disturbing the other guests. I pointed out that the building was completely empty except for us, and there were no other guests. The caller (the owner I'm assuming now) said they were actually just worried that the dogs were destroying the room because they heard barking. I drove back from the restaurant and picked up the dogs. The room was undisturbed and the dogs were silent when I arrived. I asked the front desk to join me to inspect the room when I checked out, but they refused. All in all this visit left us feeling a little hoodwinked about the pet fee, and inconvenienced with the false alarm phone call about the dogs causing damage. Therefore we're reluctant to recommend the Der Ritterhof Inn. Other than these rather quirky inconveniences, it actually is a nice place in the middle of Leavenworth. But next time we go to Leavenworth with the pets we'll stay at the Motel 6 in Wenatchee. It's only about 25 minutes from Leavenworth and we'll probably save close $80. There are no pet fees at Motel 6 and they have done a fairly nice renovation on most all of their motels.

I really expected to be able to give them a solid 4 stars. The room was large and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great, we were able to have our pup with us (important since we hadn't been planning on spending the night but the pass was closed), and the price was reasonable. I figured the deciding factor would be the free breakfast, which was on par with most free hotel breakfasts - decent number of options, both hot and cold. All in all, I was pretty pleased with our stay. Until we got home and found bed bug bites all over my wife. After the initial panic and isolation of all clothing and bags that were anywhere near the beds, I emailed the hotel to let them know which bed in which room, and got absolutely no response. Maybe they don't check their email, maybe they don't care, but I won't ever be going back there again if this is how they (don't) respond to something like this. I would think most hotels would take the suggestion of a possible bed bug infestation pretty seriously - this place? They don't seem to care.
